Abstract

Photography now is a science that attracts many people from those who learn it jus for hobby or those who wish to enter the industry. Since human found a way to record light and colors in photographic meaning, the challenge to produce photographic work is increase. Besides composing the light, photographers have to face a challenge on how to compose visual elements and what is the effect of using the chosen elements. This article explain how to apply one of visual elements, the line, in photographic work, as a visual element that is not only capable of giving emphasis to the main subject,but also as a visual element that can make a photograph looks comfortable to the eye of the viewer.

Abstract

Along with the increasing number of accidents in large cities, should the role of visual communication is also increasingly necessary. Its role is as a maker of communications media that attract, encourage, and interactive. So message traffic rules to be conveyed can be conveyed with good and embedded in the consciousness of the receiver behave. For this role of visual communication "Serial Little Police" intended for children and packaged in an attractive, interactive CD to play while learning the kids.

Abstract

Towards information technology era, every organization is urged to be able to produce information related to its environment in order to survive and to compete. Information gathering process stage will cause to new concept as a basic for organization in its event planning. The purpose of the article is to acknowledge information function related to consumer behavior as organization communication with the public, analyse, produce, and use it for the interest of organization’s working planning. Every data and information in the article come from literature study by processing information from books and mass media. The result of the article that every organization which aims to increase its quality and quantity performance and to compete continuously must understand the consumer behavior through message exchanging with the public which could be used through personal communication strategy.

Abstract

College institution of visual communication design (DKV) today is becoming the biggest creative education in design in Indonesia. The growth that will be more than 1000% since 1990 should be seen. Private college institutions are the biggest caretaker of DKV college institution in Indonesia, so it will take part in defining the colours of DKV education in Indonesia. The article begins with the definition of DKV and about its education history and the relation between DKV education, industry and profession today. The article tries to criticize proportionally the happening circumstances based on literature study, as laws, government regulations, and other references. The relations between college institution of DKV in Indonesia and the DKV industry are important synergy in creating quality human resources, which involved dependence and needs.

Abstract

Packaging vague identity, is the packaging that does not give clear information about the contents of the packed product, in this case are specific to the product needs of the household / consumer products, often everyday, more obvious when you're shopping at the supermarket, sensation very stunning visual eye, the colors, images and shapes capable of stopping the views of prospective consumers in packaging that 'teasing', it was due to good aesthetic qualities, but in reality many packaging designs negligent in giving the perception of 'immediately' to the identity of the contents of the packed product , this issue becomes crucial because it can be misleading or wrong perception of users, by taking random samples of products circulating in the community, trying to describe and analyze a simple through the principle of Visual Communication Design, hoping the result will remind the designers more aware of packaging labels will set out the communication function in media packaging, to provide specific information with respect to visual hierarchy to yield a clear identity of the product packaged.

Abstract

The article discusses business chance in event organizer that could be conducted by anybody. Less employment in this country is not balanced with the amount of college graduates every year, which is getting bigger. Government ability to create new jobs does not give a credible chance for new graduates to work. However, there are still chances in building new jobs by being entrepreneurs in event organizer sector. Event organizer service is a business that gives chances in effective employment for society; especially new college graduates so instead of competing to get jobs, they will create a self-employment and also for others. Beginning business in event organizer is not hard as we thought. In the article, it is attached several tips to begin event organizer business.

Abstract

In post-production process, there is one process that is not as well known as the video editing process, the addition of animation, special effects enrichment, motion graphics or audio editing and audio mixing, an important process which is rarely realized called Color Correction or Color Grading. Various software have been made to handle this process, ranging from additional filters are already available for free in any editing software, to high-end devices worth billions of dollars dedicated for specifically conducting Color Correction. Apple Color is one of the software included in the purchase of Final Cut Studio package which also include Final Cut Pro for Video Editing, Soundtrack Pro for Sound Editing and Mixing, and Motion for compositing. Apple's Color is specially designed for color correction tasks after previously edited in Final Cut Pro. This paper is designed to introduce Apple's software as well as analyze the feasibility of Apple Color as a professional device in the world of production, especially post-production. Some professional color correction software will be compared briefly with Apple Color to get an objective conclusion.

Abstract

Article pictures the emotional intelligent of college students. The emotional intelligent defines our potential to learn practical skills based on: self awareness, self controlling, motivation, empathy, social skill. From the five skills, it could be devided into two skills, i.e. individual and social competence. Individual competence is based on emotional intelligence about how we manage ourselves. Meanwhile, social competence is about how we handle our relationship with other people. From the research result, it can be concluded that emotional intelligence level of college students should be improved since there is none who has high score, especially about empathy as the lowest score.

Abstract

This study is a preliminary study about social networking and text relationship among young adulthood. The purpose of this study is to get information or description about text relationship through social networking. Method of this study is qualitative method with phenomenology approach. The phenomenon of using social networking to build relationship with others is growing popular especially among young adulthood. Observing this phenomenon accurately, there is a changing in interaction pattern. It was a physically interaction or face to face interaction. But as growing popularity of technology or internet access, today interaction can do through online and without face to face interaction. Surprisingly, this online interaction and without face to face interaction is very popular at the present. From this preliminary study, the findings are social networking become a media to share emotion, opinion openly among people. Text relationship through social networking also need emotional setting which is substituted electronically and it is virtual emotional and not the real emotional. Social networking still give a chance to people to gather face to face, not only virtual gathering.
