Abstract

This article aims to show that the spiritual aspect must be noted in the leadership because every leader is always marked with oath of office in carrying out her/his position. So, how leaders are accountable, it is not only on the horizontal level but also at the vertical level. Research was done with phenomenological and literature studies about the practice of leadership faced with a number of theories about leadership and then to be synthesized the more authentic leadership than just imaging or false branding leadership. This article was based on the assumption that leadership (including in the political sphere) was merely a sociological problem that kicked out spiritual aspects, while in the historical development of leadership, it had never been excluded from the spiritual dimension, whether in the form of manipulative (just because fed people understand that leadership came from the “sky”/gods). So then, a king acted tyrannical and led to the birth of authentic leadership as popularized as servant leadership. This article concluded that authentic leadership will give more benefit to develop the life system as well as the purpose of leadership itself rather than a merely apparent leadership which actually hurts the members (people) because of the failure to meet the expectations of the members (people).

Majapahit Kingdom was one of the great Hindu-Buddhist kingdom in Indonesian archipelago which brought great influence to the Southeast Asia civilization between the 13th-16th century. One of the most important figures of Majapahit kingdom was Gajah Mada, a famous name that exceeds even the King himself. Nowadays, history considered as an unattracting subject and it slowly becomes disappeared, which lead us to the lost of cultural values and knowledge. One way to keep the history interesting is to present the story in well presented illustration. The object of this thesis is the character of Gajah Mada and the story that developed around him. This thesis will try to depict the figure of Gajah Mada and illustrate the important moments of his life based on stories from legend and different historical sources and at the end, create a new interpretation of Gajah Mada. The design result of this illustrated book not oly pursue the function and aesthetic, but also as an act of cultural conservation in a creative way, which at the end enrich the story of Gajah Mada.

This study refers to the previous researches published in both national and international journals. The conceptual literature used in this research is Kotler’s atmospherics concept. This study provides a conceptual contribution to the study of the introduction of communication science and to contribute the thought on how to convey the authenticity of Javanese flavor and culture, considering that the authenticity cannot be determine objectively, but depends on the social construction. This study used Constructivist Paradigm. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative approach using phenomenology method. Subjects of this research were owners of Javanese ethnic restaurant in South Jakarta and Central Jakarta. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the informants using the snowball method. The validity of the study used a standard of credibility with its own specifications. Presenting the authenticity of Javanese ethnic flavor and culture was not an easy task. The restaurant owners could present through the elements of atmospherics emphasizing the ability of the senses of visual, aural, olfactory, and tactile that captured the stimuli in both the interior and exterior of the restaurant, music, scent of the fragrance of flowers and food, as well as room temperature. In addition to the elements, the owners specially brought and used certain ingredients, such as soy, rice, tofu, crackers, and tea, to keep the authenticity of the taste of Javanese cuisine. They believe that the water and soil texture in Java produce different flavors in those materials.

Abstract

One of main interior designer’s assignments is to solve the problem within the facility. Problems may occur because the activities of design decision had done or will be done on the facility are not maximized. This problem can be reduced by rethinking the design through psychology design. Utilizing psychology design will help designer decide a better judgment of objects that affects the person using it in routine. The example of interior objects is wall, door, floor, color, and other elements of interior. Desk research method was used to support this article trough data collection from books and other professional institution websites. At the end, the conclusion of this article does not directly impact the result since it took time to persuade judgment of the user, but positively it will construct designer to rethink the design object.

Abstract

Digital production proses using integrated image editor software, which has own drawing tools function, makes easier producing textures material that applied in 3D model. The feature of image editor combined with 3D Editor Software makes the easier adjustment of 3D model needs when we see the visible improvement, so the software utilization will be more efficient. In the discussion, this study is done by making the production of 3D model, that is the 3D Character that has material texturing from utilizing the available image editor software features, so the alternative production by using the integrated image editor is possibly to be done. The discussion can be utilized as an insight into the manufacture of technical design in determining the design workflow of 3D models. Utilization of software take one example of software Maxon Cinema 4D version 14, which is used as a reference as software that integrates image processing therein.

Abstract

Construction always rises to polemics and conflicts of interest between landowners and the state guarantees the rights of ownership over the land. The government is trying to bridge the existing conflict of interest with the aim to achieve the infrastructure development by issuing regulations on land acquisition for public purposes. Conceptually, accommodation on the two interests has actually existed since 1960 when the Law of Principal Agrarian was formed. This paper aims to clarify that the provision of land for public purposes associated with the release/revocation of land rights and the rights of control by the state in Pluit Reservoir project normalization does not violate the Law and Human Rights. It is appropriate for the primary purpose of the Law of Pricipal Agrarian, which is for public interest and for the welfare of the whole society.
