Abstract

The purpose of this helpful in making decisions more quickly and precisely. Research methodology includes analysis study was to analyze the data base support in helping decisions making, identifying needs and designing a data warehouse. With the support of data warehouse, company leaders can be more of current systems, library research, designing a data warehouse using star schema. The result of this research is the availability of a data warehouse that can generate information quickly and precisely, thus helping the company in making decisions. The conclusion of this research is the application of data warehouse can be a media aide related parties on PT. Gajah Tunggal initiative in decision making.

Abstract

Starsindo Logistics Inc. (SL) is a company in freight forwarding service. The problem in this company is less information provided to customers, especially about customer order status information. It is started from the departure of the EMKL truck until the standard time of customer container entering freight process. Therefore, it is needed to use the customer service application electronic-Customer Relationship Management (e-CRM), because it will ease to manage and control information flow about the customer order status. The research method is following rules in object oriented analysis and design by Mathiassen. Through website, public is hoped to easily access the company information or ship schedule, order list, tracking order status, or transaction history. This web-based customer service application could help the company to build a good relationship with customers.

The purpose of this research is to assist in providing information to support decision-making processes in sales, purchasing and inventory control at PT Tatamas Pelita Jaya. With the support of data warehouse, business leaders can be more helpful in making decisions more quickly and precisely. Research methodology includes analysis of current systems, library research, designing a data warehousing schema using bintang. The result of this research is the availability of a data warehouse that can generate information quickly and precisely, thus helping the company in making decisions. The conclusion of this research is the application of data warehouse can be a media aide related parties on PT Tatamas Pelita Jaya in decision making.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design a system that could give information to customers about the provided product and also as the order media. The research method used is based on the principle of The Seven Stages of Internet Marketing to create e-marketing application, also library research, field research, analysis and designing methodology by doing survey to PT JEAH and analyzing the result. So far, the transaction process of PT JEAH is done through manual that is customer came to the store to do purchase transaction. After the e-marketing application is done, it is hoped that could give better service to customers. E-marketing concept in this system will increase efficiency and affectivity especially into order process and product information to community. Based on the research, it is concluded that with this e-marketing application as the center information and purchase media, it is hoped that the company could get loyalty from the customers and gather new market in online users.

Abstract

Digital cash is one of the payment methods that is very easy to use, especially when someone is doing a transaction through the internet. Digital cash has many forms and systems, which are supposed to simplify and make the process of transaction easier. This paper will discuss about the definition of the digital cash itself, the important properties that it has, the problems which occur due to its existence, the examples of some key players who operate the digital cash from all around the world, along with how the digital cash works, and lastly, how the digital cash is put into the practical world. The purpose of this paper is to give a glimpse of view on the functions of the digital cash, the systems or protocols which are needed to implement it, and the problems faced by those who use it.

Abstract

Rapid business changes also trigger changes in interconnected applications. Changing multiple interrelated applications, have a level of difficulty and complexity of its own, especially if the platform and framework of these applications are not the same. One of the concepts that can help bridge the time gap problem between business change with changes in applications and platforms and frameworks to bridge the gap between applications is the implementation of "services". By using "services", interconnected applications will be able to produce more realtime information. A case study for the development of "service" is performed at the Human Resource (HR) department, which uses two different applications of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for the frontend and use the SAP HR module as its backend. Bottom-up strategy is chosen as a strategy in developing the "service". Application of "service" is expected to help accelerate change in the development of applications and facilitate the further application, and can result in real-time information.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze existing problems on companies in the automotive service industry, namely, analyzing the current payroll system, identifying needs, and modify and design a better payroll system accordingly. Methods used are analysis methods and design methods. Analysis methods conducted are literature study, field observation, survey on current system, needs analysis survey, identifying information needs, interview, and design methods used is Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD). Obtained results are improved payroll system which has been done manually before. It can be concluded that a computerized payroll information system can solve existing problems and old procedures.

Abstract

Unlike web applications easier to update the latest version, desktop applications more difficult and must involve the user in doing so. It is caused by a desktop application is an application that is installed in the computer user. The purpose of this research is to design an automatic system updates on a desktop application, an example case: Application Binus International Operational Support (ABIOS). This research used literature study and system design. In desktop applications, often there is update the latest applications that are not known to the user who sometimes fatal and disrupt business operations. Generally, developer will inform the changes version to user that they can update the application. In an update of applications, should be done by the system automatically, not manually by users. Once in a while, the user background is not from computer base. After doing the research, it can be concluded that the system automatically updates the application has benefits to users in obtaining information regarding the latest version, and can assist in automatically update the latest application is based on computerization. For further development of this system is expected to operate on multi platforms and or mobile applications.

Abstract

This paper shows the use of e-application to assist the implementation of internal quality audit, which is one of the conditions to be met within the requirements of ISO 9000 Quality Assurance System. E-application that is used other than as a data repository is also used as a workflow. Where is the workflow that is made will ensure that the repairs is carried out in accordance with what has been planned. As one of the ISO documentation requirements in Clause 4.2.4 that a document should be done traceable, then the use of e-application is very helpful in conducting the search trail. In addition, the e-application allows auditors and auditees in filling the audit results, since it can be accessed from anywhere as well as due to web-based, it can be done from any computer without the need of an installation. E-application that was developed to function as a workflow and data repository that can be used as part of monitoring and data history which will help to improve the performance of the unit hence also improves performance of Bina Nusantara University.

Abstract

This article discusses about the sum of powers , which closed solutions empirically have been discovered by Jacob Bernoulli in 1731 in The Art of Conjecture. In this paper, we will find a closed solution of the sum of powers by using the Generating Function. By learning how to derive the closed solution of the sum of powers, the Generating Function can be used to solve the more general series forms.
