Abstract

The revitalization of mosque management at Kurir Langit Mosque aims to restore its function as a place of worship and a relevant social practice aligned with the current needs of the Muslim community by reinstating the practices of the early era of Islam during the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions. The research objective is to examine the strategies for revitalizing mosque management models and their implementation in the context of social capital at Kurir Langit Mosque. This study utilizes a qualitative method with a field research approach. The research findings reveal that the revitalization of Kurir Langit Mosque's management has brought about significant transformation inmosque management, fundraising, and various social practices, thereby introducing the concept of social capital within the community. The modern concept of revitalization at Kurir Langit Mosque involves a return to the roots of early Islam, adopting early Islamic practices, and making the mosque a centre for education and empowerment. Community funds are managed meticulously, combining religious values with educational services, primarily funded through endowments, zakat, almsgiving, and donations, enabling the mosque to operate independently. A comprehensive social welfare program focusing on education,well-being, and empowerment is implemented with a mentorship-based approach, fostering positive change and reducing reliance on aid and donations.

Abstract

This article presents research results about the development of the Puspita Baharifisherwomen movement in realizing gender justice. This research uses historical methods:heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography, supported by historical sources from textual and cartographic archives, contemporary newspapers and magazines, and image archives. Study results revealed the efforts to increase economic capabilities and intellectual capacity to escape patriarchal domination. Patriarchal culture has placed women in a disadvantageous position. They experience injustices such as discrimination, marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, double burdens, and violence. Both methods effectively form new awareness in the community that the activities of Puspita Bahari fisherwomen have become a milestone in improving the regional economy and making a significant contribution to coastal communities' economic and social progress. These conditions change patriarchism conceptually. However, the culture did not collapse; it only appeared with a new, slightly friendlier face to women. Still, Morodemak's fisherwomen have come closer to justice.

Abstract

This research aims to describe Jamaluddin Athiyyah’s thought both conceptually and in operational logic, as well as the factors of human values in al-maqa>s}id al-syariah and its progressive legal reasoning. This research is a literature with primary legal materials, books by Athiyyah, and various latest scientific journals. Research findings show that conceptually according to Athiyyah, the benefits that are the objectives of Sharia are universal and balanced, the urgency of understanding must be balanced between and the method of ushul Fiqh and Fiqh rules, so that the legal product is not textual-conservative or liberal subjective. According to Athiyyah, the factors of human values in al-maqasid al-syariah are:1) Efforts to get to know, help, and complement each other, 2) Realization of the role of the human caliph on earth, 3) Realization of peace based on the value of justice, 4) State protection of human rights, and 5) Spread of Islamic da'wah. reasoning focuses on the substance of the goal to be achieved (ideal norms) in the enactment of a law. It is not just legal-formal legitimacy or legal rules labeled Sharia. Such legal logic is more progressive and elastic substantively and more politically dynamic to respond to the dialectic of Sharia and law in the development of national law. This research is expected to contribute to theprogressive implementation of al-maqa>s}id al-syari>ah in the context of developing humanist and universal Islamic law.

Abstract

This study delves into the intriguing world of "To Pembuni," a revered and enigmatic figure in the beliefs of the Nosu people. "To Pembuni" is known for its hidden nature and mystical traits. Using a nuanced approach through phenomenological research, the goal is to deeply understand the rich experiences and beliefs of the vibrant Nosu community about "To Pembuni." The findings reveal a dual existence of "To Pembuni" in both the real world of Nosu and a unique ethereal realm. This enigmatic presence is believed to occasionally take human form or inhabit dwellings. Its origin stems from regular community members seeking solace from heavy taxation by retreating into the forest. A key highlight is the deep respect and warm connection the Nosu people share with "To Pembuni," showcasing their profound rapport. An interesting theme is the intricate relationship between safeguarding the environment and the mystical bond between the Nosu and "To Pembuni," highlighting the interconnectivity of all life. Additionally, the study introduces the depths of mystical theology through the lens of William Johnston, an erudite Irish Jesuit scholar. Johnston's perspective portrays mystical theology as a discipline revealing esoteric wisdom gained through divine communion, with love as the guiding force. In conclusion, this research offers insights into mystical experiences and their impact on beliefs, underscoring the need for environmental preservation. It invites further exploration of mysticism as a path to harmoniously connect with the divine, championing love and compassion for all creation, echoing William Johnston's mystical theology.
