High peak to average power ration (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is an important problem, which increase the cost and complexity of high power amplifiers. One of the techniques used to reduce the PAPR in OFDM system is the tone reservation method (TR). In our work we propose a modified tone reservation method to decrease the PAPR with low complexity compared with the conventional TR method by process the high and low amplitudes at the same time. An image of size 128×128 is used as a source of data that transmitted using OFDM system. The proposed method decrease the PAPR by 2dB compared with conventional method with keeping the performance unchanged. The performance of the proposed method is tested with several numbers of subcarriers; we found that the PAPR is reduced as the number of subcarriers decreased.

Brushless DC motors (BLDCM) are widely used when high precision converters are required. Model based torque control schemes rely on a precise representation of their dynamics, which in turn expect reliable system parameters estimation. In this paper, we propose two procedures for BLDCM parameters identification used in an agriculture mobile robot’s wheel. The first one is based on the physical approach or equations using experimentation data to find the electrical and mechanical parameters of the BLDCM. The parameters are then used to elaborate the model of the motor established in Park’s reference frame. The second procedure is an online identification based on recursive least square algorithm. The procedure is implemented in a closed-loop scheme to guarantee the stability of the system, and it provide parameter matrices obtained by transforming electrical equations, established in Parks reference frame, and mechanical equation to discrete-time domain. From these matrices, and using well formulated intermediate variables, all desired parameters are deduced simultaneously. The identification procedures are being verified using simulation under Matlab-Simulink software.

Music is a universal language that does not require an interpreter, where feelings and sensitivities are united, regardless of the different peoples and languages, The proposed system consists of two main stages: the process of extracting important properties using the linear discrimination analysis (LDA) This step is carried out after the initial treatment process using various procedures to remove musical lines, The second stage describes the recognition process using the bat algorithm, which is one of the metaheuristic algorithms after modifying the bat algorithm to obtain better discriminating results. The proposed system was supported by parallel implementation using the (Developed Bat Algorithm DBA), which increased the speed of implementation significantly. The method was applied to 1250 different images of musical notes. The proposed system was implemented using MATLAB R2016a, Work was done on a Windows10 Processor OS (Intel ® Core TM i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHZ 2.70GHZ) computer.

Running rails in electrified transportation systems are the interface element for several phenomena related to system performance, electromagnetic compatibility and safety: useful voltage at rolling stock, short circuit current, induced voltage, stray current, and track circuit operation. This work presents the physical and mathematical groundings of rail electrical parameters (dc and ac resistance, ac internal and external inductance) and experimental results available in the literature, discussing variability and reliability for each interface. The results consist thus of the identification of the relevant rails longitudinal electrical parameters, the presentation of a set of reliable experimental values, and the discussion of the best approach to manage their variability and uncertainty.

Our work aims to present an amazigh pronominal morphological analyzer (APMorph) based on xerox’s finite-state transducer (XFST). Our system revolves around a large lexicon named “APlex” including the affixed pronoun to the noun and to the verb and the characteristics relating to each lemma. A set of rules are added to define the inflectional behavior and morphosyntactic links of each entry as well as the relationship between the different lexical units. The implementation and the evaluation of our approach will be detailed within this article. The use of XFST remains a relevant choice in the sense that this platform allows both analysis and generation. The robustness of our system makes it able to be integrated in other applications of natural language processing (NLP) especially spellchecking, machine translation, and machine learning. This paper presents a continuation of our previous works on the automatic processing of Amazigh nouns and verbs.

The predictions for the original chaos patterns can be used to correct the distorted chaos pattern which has changed due to any changes whether from undesired disturbance or additional information which can hide under chaos pattern. This information can be recovered when the original chaos pattern is predicted. But unpredictability is most features of chaos, and time series prediction can be used based on the collection of past observations of a variable and analysis it to obtain the underlying relationships and then extrapolate future time series. The additional information often prunes away by several techniques. This paper shows how the chaotic time series prediction is difficult and distort even if Neuro-Fuzzy such as Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is used under any disturbance. The paper combined particle swarm (PSO) and (ANFIS) to exam the prediction model and predict the original chaos patterns which comes from the double scroll circuit. Changes in the bias of the nonlinear resistor were used as a disturbance. The predicted chaotic data is compared with data from the chaotic circuit.

In this paper, a nested square-shape dielectric resonator (NSDR) has been designed and investigated for antenna applications in the microwave band. A solid square dielectric resonator (SSDR) was modified systematically by introducing air-gap in the azimuth (ϕ-direction). By retaining the square shape of the dielectric resonator (DR), the well-known analysis tools can be applied to evaluate the performance of the NSDR. To validate the performance of the proposed NSDR in antenna applications, theoretical, simulation, and experimental analysis of the subject has been performed. A simple microstrip-line feeding source printed on the top of Rogers RO4003 grounded substrate was utilized without any external matching network. Unlike solid square DR, the proposed NSDR considerably improves the impedance bandwidth. The proposed antenna has been prototyped and experimentally validated. The antenna operates in the range of 12.34GHz to 21.7GHz which corresponds to 56% percentage bandwidth with peak realized gain 6.5dB. The antenna has stable radiation characteristics in the broadside direction. A close agreement between simulation and experimental results confirms the improved performance of NSDR in antenna applications.

Safety, disponibility and continuity of industrial systems are major issue in maintenance. In the last decades, these points are the important axes in the field of research. In fact, in many industrial processes research has picked up a fervent place and a particular importance in the area of fault diagnosis of electrical machines, in fact, a fault prognosis has become almost indispensable. The need of a mathematical model of three-phase induction machine, suitable for the simulation of machines behaviour under fault conditions, has received considerable attention. The paper presents a new practical and more precise model for induction motors after introducing inter turn short circuits faults. The proposed model is based on coupled magnetic circuit theory, capable to take into account any electrical asymmetry conditions. To verify the exactitude and the effectiveness of the model, simulation results for induction machine under interturn short circuit fault are presented. In spite of its simplicity, the proposed model is able to provide useful indications for diagnostic purposes. Experimental study is presented at the end of the paper to show that the proposed model predicts the induction machine behavior with a good accuracy.

This paper proposed new adjusted Hotelling’s T^2 control chart for individual observations. For this objective, bootstrap method for producing the individual observations were employed. To do so, both arithmetic mean vector and the covariance matrix in the traditional Hotelling’s T^2 chart were substituted by the trimmed mean vector and the covariance matrix of the robust scale estimators〖 Q〗_n, respectively which, in turn, its performance is carried out by simulated. In fact, the calculation of false alarms and the probability of detection outlier is used for determining the validity of this modified chart. The findings revealed a considerable significance in its performance.

Currently, the data and variables of a control system are the most important elements to be safeguarded in an industrial network, so it is vitally important to ensure their safety. This paper presents the design and simulation of a demilitarized network (DMZ) using firewalls to control access to all the information that is stored in the servers of the industrial network of the Hermanos Díaz Refinery in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. In addition, the characteristics, configurations, methods, and rules of DMZs and firewalls are shown, select the configuration with three multi-legged firewalls as the most appropriate for our application, since it allows efficient exchange of data guaranteeing security and avoiding the violation of the control system. Finally, the simulation of the proposed network is carried out.
