Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are the core of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) to obtain safety, better transportation services, and improved traffic management. Providing more reliable and efficient on demand routing protocol is one of the main challenges in these networks research scope. This paper argues a compressed fuzzy logic based method to enhance Ad hoc on demand distance vector (AODV) routing decision by jointly considering number of relays, distance factor, direction angle, and vehicles speed variance. The proposed scheme is simulated in both freeway and urban scenarios with different number of vehicles using real time interaction between both OMNet++ and SUMO simulators. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can get better performance in terms of packet delivery ratio, throughput, mean delay, and number of sent control packets.

In this paper, our work is devoted to a time domain analysis of field-to-line coupling model. The latter is designed with a uniform microstrip multiconductor transmission line (MTL), connected with a mixed load which can be linear as a resistance, nonlinear like a diode or complex nonlinear as a Metal Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor (MESFET). The finite difference time-domain technique (FDTD) is used to compute the expression of voltage and current at the line. The primary advantage of this method over many existing methods is that nonlinear terminations may be readily incorporated into the algorithm and the analysis. The numerical predictions using the proposed method show a good agreement with the GHz Transverse Electro Magnetic (GTEM) measurement.

To compare the different result of optimization of a hybrid energy system. A hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) is the combination of renewable and non-renewable sources which is playing a very important role for rural area electrification when grid extension is not possible or excessively expensive. Non renewable sources like diesel power generator (optional) are used in a HRES for backup when renewable energy supply is not sufficient. While the HRES is very important due to the smallest natural and physical contact compared to non renewable sources, this work proposed a comparison outcome with the help of different component by using HOMER software and get best optimize result for the model. This paper presents a wide-ranging review of various aspects of HRES. This paper discusses study, best sizing, and model, organize aspect and reliability issue.

In this paper, a new approach for energy minimization in energy harvesting real time systems has been investigated. Lifetime of a real time systems is depend upon its battery life. Energy is a parameter by which the lifetime of system can be enhanced. To work continuously and successively, energy harvesting is used as a regular source of energy. EDF (Earliest Deadline First) is a traditional real time tasks scheduling algorithm and DVS (Dynamic Voltage Scaling) is used for reducing energy consumption. In this paper, we propose an Energy Harvesting Earliest Deadline First (EH-EDF) scheduling algorithm for increasing lifetime of real time systems using DVS for reducing energy consumption and EDF for tasks scheduling with energy harvesting as regular energy supply. Our experimental results show that the proposed approach perform better to reduce energy consumption and increases the system lifetime as compared with existing approaches.

Mixing or combining different elements for getting enhanced version, is practiced across various areas in real life. Pan-sharpening is a similar technique used in the digital world; a process to combine two images into a fused image that comprises more detailed information. Images referred herein are Panchromatic (PAN) and Multispectral (MS) images. This paper presents a pansharpening algorithm which integrates multispectral and panchromatic images to generate an improved multispectral image. This technique merges the Discrete wavelet transform (WT) and Intensity-Hue-Saturation (IHS) through separate fusing criterion for choosing an approximate and detail sub-images. Whereas the maximal local extrema are used for merging detail sub-images and finally merged high-resolution image is reconstructed through inverse transform of wavelet and IHS. The proposed fusion approach enhances the superiority of the resultant fused image is demonstrated by quality measures like CORR, RMSE, PFE, SSIM, SNR and PSNR with the help of satellite Worldview-II images. The proposed algorithm is correlated with the other fusion techniques through empirical outcomes proves the superiority of the final merged image in terms of resolutions than the others.

This paper presents a candidate ultra wideband antenna for Ku-band wireless communi- cations applications, analyzed and optimized by the finite element method (FEM). This three-dimensional modeling was realized and compared with published antennas for val- idate the performances of the proposed antenna. Its design is based on the insertion o fseveral symmetrical slots of different sizes on the ground plane of a mono-layer patch antenna to overcome the main limitation of the narrow bandwidth of patch antennas. The proposed antenna, made on an FR-4 epoxy mono-layer substrate with a defected ground plane (dielectric constant εr = 4,4, loss tangent tan δ = 0,02 and thickness hs = 1.6 mm). The simulated numerical results obtained are very satisfying; Bandwidth = 10.48 GHz from f1 = 9.34 GHz to f2 = 19.82 GHz, S11 = -34.17 dB, Voltage Stationary Wave Ratio VSWR = 1.04 , Gain = 6.27 dB.

Solar radiation can be converted to the electrical energy and thermal energy by photovoltaic panel and solar collector. In this experiment, PV/T collector was designed, fabricated and tested its performance. The experiment conducted on PV/T collector with water flow at mass flow rate 0.012 kg/s to 0.0255 kg/s. The water flow with the stainless stell absorber help the PV/T collector in increasing the convection of thermal heat transfer. The power output increase with increase of radiation. The efficiency of PVT varies with different intensity of radiation which stated in this experiment for 750 W/m2 and 900 W/m2. The analysis of energy and exergy are excuted and results show energy output for water based PV/T collector are 346 W for solar radiation 700 W/m2 and 457 W for solar radiation 900 W/m2. Meanwhile the total exergy output compared to the PV panel without stainless stell absorber, which the exergy increased by 22.48% for 700 W/m2 and 20.87% for 900 W/m2.

Over the past few years, Cognitive Radio has become an important research area in the field of wireless communications. It can play an important role in dynamic spectrum management and interference identification. There are many spectrum sensing techniques proposed in literature for cognitive radio, but all those techniques detect only presence or absence of the primary user in the designated band and do not give any information about the used modulation scheme. In certain applications, in cognitive radio receiver, it is necessary to identify the modulation type of the signal so that the receiver parameters can be adjusted accordingly. Most of the modulated signals exhibit the property of Cyclostationarity that can be used for the purpose of correct detection of primary user and the modulation type. In this paper, we have proposed an enhanced signal detection algorithm for cognitive radio receiver which makes use of cyclostationarity property of the modulated signal to exactly detect, the modulation type of the received signal using a trained neural network. The algorithm gives better accuracy of signal detection even in low SNR conditions. The use of a trained neural network makes it more flexible and extendible for future applications
