Abstract

The recent technological advancement has taken cloud computing (CC) infrastructure to a significant level where the increasing level of research interest laid upon cost-effective storage management.  Owing to the potential distributed and pervasive storage facility, it lacks efficiency towards fully preserving the integrity of user data attributes. Thereby, the collaborative sharing of user data leads to a situation which opens up various forms of security loop-holes. In the past various forms of security protocols are witnessed which have attempted to solve this similar issue with cryptographic solutions but at the same time lacks sustainability and robustness from a computational perspective. Thereby, the study introduces a 2-tier framework which offers higher-degree of access control along with Virtual Machine (VM) storage security. The study basically optimizes the performance of the model by speeding up the authentication process. The performance validation of the system has been done with respect to conventional encryption standards. The outcome obtained demonstrate that the proposed solution outperforms the existing security standards in terms of processing time, time to generate a secret key and key size for encryption.

Abstract

Web 2.0 delivers the information which is then displayed in human readable content, omitting the crucial information which can be drawn from the data by the applications. Web 3.0 or semantic web is an extension to the current web, with an ambition to determine the drawbacks of the current web. The semantic web has already proven its influence in several communities around the globe, such as social media, music industry, healthcare domain, online blogs or articles, etc.; Among the several tools and technologies, ontologies or vocabularies are the foundation pillar for the semantic web. In this paper, the developed system aims at improving the collaboration and academic relations among staff which is directly related to our education community by providing a better networking platform which lets the agents discuss their achievements, titles, domain interests, and various other activities. Results have been analyzed to show how new facts, information can be implied from the presented knowledge of several agents and help generate a relationship graph by utilizing various semantic tools. The system discussed in this paper processes all the information in a format which can be understood by both humans and the machines, to interpret the underlying meaning about it and provide effective results.

Abstract

In the latest years there has been a profound evolution in computer science and technology, which incorporated several fields. Under this evolution, Content Base Image Retrieval (CBIR) is among the image processing field. There are several image retrieval methods that can easily extract feature as a result of the image retrieval methods’ progresses. To the researchers, finding resourceful image retrieval devices has therefore become an extensive area of concern. Image retrieval technique refers to a system used to search and retrieve images from digital images’ huge database. In this paper, the author focuses on recommendation of a fresh method for retrieving image. For multi presentation of image in Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Convolutional Neural Network - Slanlet Transform (CNN-SLT) model uses Slanlet Transform (SLT). The CBIR system was therefore inspected and the outcomes benchmarked. The results clearly illustrate that generally, the recommended technique outdid the rest with accuracy of 89 percent out of the three datasets that were applied in our experiments. This remarkable performance clearly illustrated that the CNN-SLT method worked well for all three datasets, where the previous phase (CNN) and the successive phase (CNN-SLT) harmoniously worked together.

Abstract

Sports play a very significant role in the development of the human persona. Getting involved in games like Cricket and other various sports help us to build character, discipline, confidence and physical fitness. Indian Premier League, IPL provides the most successful form of cricket as it gives opportunities to young and talented players to show case their talents on various pitch. Decision-makers are the utmost customers for all fundamentals in the sports analytics framework. Sports analytics has been a smash hit in shaping success for many players and teams in various sports. Sports analytics and data visualization can play a crucial role in selecting the best players for a team. This paper is about the Toss Related analysis and the breadth of data visualization in supporting the decision makers for identifying inherent players for their teams.

Abstract

Wireless communication systems undergo tremendous growth these days and devices able to operate in a number of frequencybandsarehighlydemanded. Reconfiguration in antenna characteristic striggered the evolution of antennas that can workin multiple frequency, pattern or polarization environment.The frequency reconfigurable antennas thuse mergedarewell suited in Cognitive Radios which take part in the effective utilization of unused bands of frequencies by continuously interacting with the RF environment. Thus, Cognitive Radios enhancetheutilization of frequency spectrum and establish reliable communication. The most recent research works carried out in the arena of Frequency Reconfigurable Antennas for Cognitive Radio applications are reviewed and summed up in this paper to present the attributes and categorization. Four techniques adopted to attain frequency reconfiguration are extensively compared in this paper to find the advantages and constraints of each methodology. The applications of the works reviewed here are not only limited to Cognitive radios, but extended to a number of wireless communication services like, WLAN, WiMAX, etc

Abstract

In this paper is presented the mathematical model, design and construction of a prototype of a  vibration frequency meter in an adjustable range of 2 Hz to 30 Hz; The experimental results and their analysis are also presented, making a comparative evaluation with the theoretical model. The device is based on the principle of resonance applied in an inverted magnetic pendulum whose natural frequency can be modified by variations of physical parameters. The oscillation of the pendulum is recorded detecting variations in the magnetic field using hall effect sensors; the data recorded with a microprocessor is analyzed and the results are simultaneously plotted in a computer interface. The data obtained were processed to be plotted in the frequency domain, facilitating its analysis. It was proved that the prototype can be used as a frequency meter and that the adjustable character of the device works according to the mathematical model. Finally, The effect of the friction force was studied, it was concluded that the friction force affects the measurement after a considerable period of time of oscillation, but not in the first moments.

Abstract

Image processing and machine learning technique are modified to use the quality grading of soybean seeds. Due to quality grading is a very important process for the soybean industry and soybean farmers. There are still some critical problems that need to be overcome. Therefore, the key contributions of this paper are first, a method to eliminate shadow noise for segment soybean seeds of high quality. Second, a novel approach for color feature which robust for illumination changes to reduces problem of color difference. Third, an approach to discover a set of feature and to form classifier model to strengthen the discrimination power for soybean classification. This study used background subtraction to reduce shadow appearing in the captured image and proposed a method to extract color feature based on robustness for illumination changes which was H components in HSI model. We proposed classifier model using combination of the color histogram of H components in HSI model and GLCM statistics to represent the color and texture features to strengthen the discrimination power of soybean grading and to solve shape variance in each soybean seeds class. SVM classifiers are generated to identify normal seeds, purple seeds, green seeds, wrinkled seeds, and other seed types. We conducted experiments on a dataset composed of 1,320 soybean seeds and 6,600 seed images with varies in brightness levels. The experimental results achieved accuracies of 99.2%, 97.9%, 100%, 100%, 98.1%, and 100% for overall seeds, normal seeds, purple seeds, green seeds, wrinkled seeds, and other seeds, respectively

Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of a new microstrip multi-stopband filter based on tree fractal slotted resonator. A single square patch with tree fractal slots of different iterations are employed for realizing dual stopband and tri-stopband filters. The tree fractal slotted resonators are generated from conventional square patch using an iterative tree fractal generator method. First, second and third level iterations of the tree fractal slot resonator are used to design dual and tri-stopband filters respectively. The first level iteration introduced for the tree fractal slot realizes dual bands at 2.64 GHz and 3.61 GHz while the second level iteration provides better stopband rejection and insertion loss at 2.57 GHz and 3.56 GHz. The tri-stopband filter generates three resonance frequencies at 1.53 GHz, 2.53 GHz and 3.54 GHz at third level iteration. By varying the slot length and width of the tree fractal slot, the resonant frequencies can be adjusted and stopbands of the proposed filter can be tuned for the desired unwanted frequency to be rejected. The proposed narrowband filters finds application in removing the interference of GPS and Wi-Max narrowband signals from the allotted bands of other wireless communication systems

Abstract

Several challenges are associated with online based learning systems, the most important of which is the lack of student motivation in various course materials and for various course activities. Further, it is important to identify student who are at risk of failing to complete the course on time. The existing models applied machine learning approach for solving it. However, these models are not efficient as they are trained using legacy data and also failed to address imbalanced data issues for both training and testing the classification approach. Further, they are not efficient for classifying new courses. For overcoming these research challenges, this work presented a novel design by training the learning model for identifying risk using current courses. Further, we present an XGBoost classification algorithm that can classify risk for new courses. Experiments are conducted to evaluate performance of proposed model. The outcome shows the proposed model attain significant performance over stat-of-art model in terms of ROC, F-measure, Precision and Recall.

Abstract

Ant colony Optimization is a nature-inspired meta-heuristic optimization algorithm that gained a great interest in resolution of combinatorial and numerical optimization problems in many science and engineering domains. The aim of this work was to investigate the use of Ant Colony Optimization in cryptanalysis of Simplified Advanced Encryption Standard (S-AES), using a known plaintext attack. We have defined the essential components of our algorithm such as heuristic value, fitness function and the strategy to update pheromone trails. It is shown from the experimental results that our proposed algorithm allow us to break S-AES cryptosystem after exploring a minimum search space when compared with others techniques and requiring only two plaintext-ciphertext pairs.
