Abstract

This training partner is SMK Swagaya 2 Purwokerto with the consideration of the early result evaluation which conducted when Workshop Curriculum of Agribusiness Department of Agricultural Faculty was held. It found that majority (> 80 %) schoolgirl student was having less interest and enthusiasm to agriculture which include Agribusiness in it. This activity aims to (1) give the information and knowledge to schoolgirl student of SMK about agriculture specially agribusiness, (2) increase their interest and enthusiasm to Agribusiness and (3) give the training about Agribusiness Marketing’s Soft skill. The result showed that knowledge and understanding which deal with agricultural business soft skill was getting higher to whom that attended the activity. Abstract

This research was conducted to study the application of thatch grass extract to weed control, to study the growth and yield of cucumber. The experiment was carried out from January 2013 to April 2013 and was conducted in Dukuhwaluh village, Kembaran District in Banyumas Regency. The research was arranged in a Complete Randomized Design with 1 factor and 5 replications. The factor was application concentration of thatch grass extract consisted of: without application, 100 g/l, 200 g/l, 300 g/l and clean weeding. The results showed that the application concentration of thatch grass extract (200 g/l) can reduce weed population in cucumber crops. Concentration’s application of thatch grass extract (200 g/l) effective to increase fruit number/plant and fruit weight/plant of cucumber. Abstract

Subdistrict Kemranjen Banyumas known as a center for the development of durian and durian seedlings Farmers in the District Kemranjen buy durian seedlings in Salatiga before seeking his own nursery. As a result of the lack of capital because of high transport costs, the farmers developed a durian seedlings. The entry of breeding leads to changes in the business. Durian seedlings have attributes that make farmers prefer the nursery business. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of farmers towards breeding durian, knowing the components forming the attitude and the attitude of farmers towards the attributes contained in durian seedlings. The method used was a survey method. Header retrieval techniques using simple random sampling. The samples used were 67 respondents. Results of the study is the total score obtained by all farmers is 10379, located in the field between the third quartile and maximum attitude Based on the criteria, it can be concluded that farmers strongly agreed or strongly positive for breeding durian . Farmers have a good attitude towards the attributes of durian seed is indicated by the value in the category 109.3228 (interpretation) is positive. Attitude strongly agree or strongly positf forming attitudes of farmers towards variable, namely: availability of capital (35.8 % of the farmers responded to agree), the availability of experts (66 % of farmers responded to agree), the skills of farmers (48.5 % of the farmers responded to agree), the selling price products (54.1 % of farmers responded strongly agree), the price of the means of production (72 % of farmers responded strongly agree), the availability of means of production (81.3 % of farmers responded strongly agree ), the total cost of production (50.4 % of the farmers responded agree), earned income (51.5 % of farmers responded strongly agree) and the benefits to be obtained (60.8 % of the farmers responded to agree). Abstract

A research aimed to examine the effect of dosage interaction and MVA inoculation technique on the incidence of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants has been carried out. Method used was experimental with a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) in a factorial pattern. The first factor was MVA treatment in four levels, i.e. M0 (no MVA given), M1 (MVA = 7.5 g/plant), M2 (MVA = 10 g/plant), M3 (MVA = 12.5 g/plant). Whereas, the second factor was different inoculation techniques: IbJ (VAM was inoculated when seeds were planted) and Ibt (VAM was inoculated when the seedlings were replanted). The main parameter in this research was the incubation period and disease intensity, while the supporting parameters were VAM infection intensity, soil pH, air temperature and relative humidity. Obtained data of the disease intensity and the incubation period were analyzed with analysis of variance (F test) and continued with Least Significant Differences test with the error level of 5%. Results indicated that the interaction of dosages and mixed MVA inoculation technique had suppressed the disease intensity and delayed the incubation period of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants, while the dosages of mixed MVA separately affected the intensity and delayed the incubation period of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants. The mixed MVA dosege of 10 g/plant was the most effective to suppress Fusarium wilt disease intensity in watermelon plants, while the dosage of 12.5 g/plant was the best to delay the incubation period of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants. Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information integration rice fish viewed from the perspective of agroeconomics. This study is motivated by the growth rate of rice production which likely to decline, decline in soil fertility due to continuous intensification. The method used was a survey method by taking the case of rice - fish farming in Solokan Jeruk District Bandung Regency West Java Province. Purposive sampling is used in this research. The expected benefit is to increase rice production, fish seed supply, income and welfare of farmers and the development of efficient utilization of paddy fields. The results showed the integration of fish rice as seen as agro-economic was positively gave the benefit for both farmers and for agricultural land itself. Keywords: rice, agro-economy

Abstract

Research has been conducted in Bojongsari Village, Kembaran Subdistrict Banyumas Regency Central Java on ± 3 month. The aim of research: To know dose of fermentation compost was best influenced on growth and yield of French bean. To know treatment of natural fertilizer mycorrhiza on influenced on growth and yield of French bean. To know the interaction’s effect between fermentation compost dose and usage of biological fertilizer micorrhyze on growth and yield of French bean. This research represents polibag experiment with factorial pattern. Used design was Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four times replications. Each treatment plot number was 24. Each experimental plot comprised of three plants then total number of plant was 72. Tested factors were fermentation compost dose (15.000 kg/ha or 75 gram/polibag, 20.000 kg/ha or 100 gr/polibag, 25.000 kg/ha or 125 gram/polibag) and usage biological fertilizer mycorrhiza (without mycorrhiza and use mychorriza). Research result showed that treatment of fermentation compost providing significant effect on number of pods. While on other variable studied such as plant length, the amount of leaf, the weight of the wet upper plant, the weight of fresh root and pods weight was not significantly influenced. Treatment of fermentation compost with dose of 125 gram/polibag represent best fermentation compost dose at this research. Treatment of biological fertilizer mycorrhiza was not significantly influenced on entire observed variables that where plant length, leaf number, the weight of the wet upper plant, the weight of fresh root and pods weight. There was interaction between treatment of compost fertilizer combination and natural fertilizer mychorrhiza on growth and yield of French bean at observed variable that were lower bunch weight that significantly different and not significantly different in plant length, leaf number, the weight of the wet upper plant, the weight of fresh root and pods weight. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the feasibility of the market and marketing of industrial establishment Dodol salak. The method used in this study is the survey method and sampling technik is accidental sampling. The number of samples taken 112 people. The results of the market and marketing analysis showed that 84 respondents (74.11%) had knowledge of Dodol salak. Respondents who had knowledge of Dodol salak 71 people (84.52%) had been consumed. Respondents who stated like Dodol salak by 67 people (79.76%). Dodol salak is a product that is preferred by consumers. The market for this products is still wide open. Dodol salak market development can be done through the promotion and guarantee the availability of products on the market. Key words: dodol salak and market aspects

Abstract

This study aims to determine the size of onion seeds and dosage of the most efficient nitrogen fertilizer on plant biomass formation of red onion. The experiment was conducted at the Green House Faculty of Agriculture, University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto for five months from December 2010 until May 2011, study prepared based on randomized block design and each treatment was repeated four times. This study consists of two factors: First, the size of onion bulbs (U), consisting of tubers with a size of 3 grams (U1) and the size of 5 grams (U2). Second, the dose of fertilizer nitrogen (N), consisting of Nitrogen fertilizer was given as much as 46 kg / ha (N1), Nitrogen fertilizer was given as many as 92 kg / ha (N2) and nitrogen fertilizers were given as much as 138 kg / ha (N3). The results showed that the unfavorable weather factors could lead to yet determine the size of onion seed and nitrogen fertilizer are most efficient for the formation of plant biomass. There was no significant interaction between seed size with a dose of nitrogen fertilizer on the efficiency of biomass formation of onion plants viewed from all variable.
