Abstract

Depends on the observation and interview with the students of cookery family welfare department, showed that student creativity with the low achievement. The goal of this research is to reveal students creativity with the achievement for cookery management in cookery study program of family welfare department technic faculty of UNP. This research describe 1) students creativity for cookery management in cookery study program, 2) the student achievement for for cookery management in cookery study program, 3) the correlation between Students Creativity with the study result of Cookery Management in Coockery Study Programme. The kind of this research is descriptive research with correlation approach. The population of this research is the students of cookery management which are 102 people consist of 31 people for restaurant cookery management, 36 people for catering cookery management and 31 people for industrial cookery management. The sampling technic is total sampling. The kind of the instrument is questionare that arranged in Likert scale through validity and realibility test. Data analysis technic is descriptive statistic and correlation with product moment correlation formula then processed by using SPSS 15.0 version. The result shows that 40,2% students creativity is in the middle chategory, 46,1% students didn’t pass the cookery management. There is positive and significan correlation between students creativity (X) with students achievement for cookery management (Y), with the correlation number 0,835 whereas tcounted > ttable (15,168 > 1,658). The student creativity variable (X) give 69,7% contribution for the student achievement in cookery management with 30,3% other variable. These results indicate that there is a relationship with the student learning outcomes creative course MUB The existence of student creativity will provide a positive impact on learning outcomes.

Abstract

People interest to wear batik Jambi, but will make problems if batik Jambi production can supply market demand. It is affected by capital, human resources, tools and material. so, this research aimed to describe the number of capital, human resources, tools and materials that affect batik Jambi production. The kind of this research is product moment correlation with the population is all batik Jambi producer who are listed in Industry and Trading Department which are 50 industries. The samples are 50 industries taken by total sample, means that all population are samples. Data collecting did using questionnaire. The questionnaire tested by validation and reliability test, with the result of cornbach’s alpha are in high classification to highest. Data get and analyzed using computerized statisticSPSS program 12.0 version on α = 0,05. The result of that is 1) the affect of capital to batik production is 39,8%, 2) the affect of human resources to batik production is 25,6%, 3) the affect of tools and material to batik production is 50,7% and 4) the affect of all capital, human resources, tools and material to batik production is 69,1%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research to increase students learningmotivation with demonstration,exercises and teamwork todecorate linen with fantasy embroidery in developing of selfprogram at SMP N1 Kec.Payakumbuh. Kind of the research isclassroom action research consist of III cicles. In each ciclesprocess of learning consist of twice meeting. Students learningmotivation in the first cicles get 53%. In the second cicles get69%. In the third cicles get 85%. Subject of research consist ofstudents SMP N1 Kec.Payakumbuh amount 24 students.Technique of collect datas are observation, field record, analysisdatas as kuantitatif and kualitatif. The result of the researchincreate that students learning motivation the third cicles is 85percents, it means students learning motivation reached out fortarget which decided that is 80 percents. So demonstration,exercises and teamwork method of learning process can increasestudents learning motivation to decorate linen with fantasyembroidery.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design and make colouring technic fashiondesign with Adobe Photoshop CS3 as the alternative of learning media and able to beused to give some helps in explain the materials in class or personally. The researchuse research and development method, which is designing an make a module ofcolouring fashion design with Adobe Photoshop CS3. Data collection in this researchuse validation and gave to the lectures and the questionnaire to the students about themodule. The questionnaire consists of form, contents, motivation and the practicalityof this module. Data analyzed using Likert Scale. Hoped this module can give theeasiness for the lecturer and other people in designing a learning media, so canmotivate the student, and the aim of the learning is gained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the barriers to student learning in the following competencies manufacture ladies fashion class XI in SMK N 1 IV Angkek Agam District in particular the manufacture of working clothes. Includes several indicators which measure decision ways, making basic patterns, making the burst pattern in accordance with the design, material cutting and marking patterns and sewing techniques. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Techniques for data collection in this study uses total sampling with 24 people of sample. Type of instrument is used in the form of questionnaires. The results showed students in vocational SMK N 1 IV Angkek Kab. Agam experiencing barriers to learning, namely (1) take a measurement with high category, (2) create a basic pattern with a high enough category, (3) create a burst pattern according to the category of high design, (4) put the pattern and cut the material by category high (5) sewing techniques with high category. Barriers average student in the following competencies in manufacturing women's clothing considered quite.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe student’s perception about sewing competence in textile skill design depertement at SMK N 4 Pariaman with indicators: 1) pattern knowledge. 2) measurement technique 3) pattern making technique 4) cutting technique and 5) sewing technique. The descriptive research method is being used in this research. Then, percentage is used in data analysis. Related to it, the result of student perception about sewing competence shows that: 1) the peception about pattern knowledge is not good (63,6%), 2) the peception about measurement technique is good enough (65,2%), 3) the perception about pattern making technique is good enough (66,1%), 4) the perception about cutting technique is good enough (68,5%), 5) the perception about sewing technique is good enough (70,6%). In conclusion, the student peception about sewing competence in Textile Skill Design Department at SMK N 4 Pariaman is good enough. Key Word: Student perception, Sewing competence

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of student motivation in following subjects basic hair cuts, which include indicators of (a) the passion and desire to excel in learning, (b) the need to learn, (c) the hopes and aspirations of the future in basic hair cuts. This research is descriptive quantitative. Population and samples in this study were all students of class X and XI competency skills hairstyling SMK N 3 Payakumbuh totaling 38 people. Data were obtained using a questionnaire as the instrument that has been on test validity and reliability. The results are presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage rates. The results obtained by achieving an average score of respondents terhap indicators passion and desire in learning achievement in the category of less Once with (68.42%). Indicators of the level of achievement in the Learning Needs Basic Hair Trimming should be in the category of less (47.36%). While indicators of expectations and aspirations of future levels of achievement in the category of Medium respondents (36.84%). In keseluruah motivation to study the basic hair cuts are at once less category (36.84%).

Abstract

The purposes of this study are (1) to determine the quality of service provided to the customer of beauty salon in sub-district of West Padang. (2) to determine the level of satisfaction of customer who visit the beauty salon in sub-district of West Padang. (3) to determine the relationship of service quality to the customer satisfaction in the beauty salon. The research is descriptive quantitaive research using correlation, where the samples are taken from 37 customers who visited the beauty salon. In the sampling, the researcher using method of incidental sampling which used questionnaire that had been tested validity and reliability, and questionnaires were analyzed with descriptive statistic, test requirements analysis, correlation analysis and hypothesis testing. The results showed that: (1) The quality of service at beauty salon in sub-district of West Padang in the position of High category. (2) Customer satisfaction at beauty salon in sub-district of West Padang in the position of High category. (3) There is positive relationship between service quality to the customer satisfation in the beauty salon in sub-distict of West Padang.

Abstract

The problem in this study is characterized by decorative generated monotonous, rigid and difficult to find new ideas. The research objective was to express creativity S1 students in the subject of fashion design decorative Department of Family Welfare. Type of research is descriptive quantitative research population Family Welfare S1 students of fashion. Samples were taken with a total sampling technique. The data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire. For the reliability of the instrument used Cronbach alpha formula. For the presentation of data analysis techniques used. The results seen from the six indicators are: 1. Openness to new experiences, considered good enough 2. Flexibility in thinking, considered good enough 3. Freedom of expression considered quite good 4. It has a pretty good fantasy categorized 5. The interest in creative activities categorized quite well 6. Confidence in their own ideas considered good enough. Based on the distribution of scores in a variable decorative creativity Creativity Students are classified as being categorized, while the level of achievement of the results of questionnaires in the category quite well. Can be seen and verified from the collection of student assignment in the form of a portfolio.
