Abstract

Traditional Clothing Pasumandan is one of the traditional dress at the wedding ceremony. This study aimed to describe Traditional Clothing Design Pasumandan Padang that in terms of models, materials, colors, embellishments and philosophical meaning contained in Traditional Clothing Pasumandan Padang. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. Collecting data in this study is by observation, interview and documentation. analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. To get the data by performing an extension observation, triangulation of data and auditing. Traditional Clothing Pasumandan research results Padang consists of kuruang bajaik basiba, made of red velvet, ornate gold thread and stab pinhead, philosophy contained in the model symbolizes covered genitalia, decorative motifs used kaluak paku symbolizing the close kinship , daunbodi symbolizes a woman there must be stored, which symbolizes broad-mindedness siba Minang people. Holsters / songket using cotton, macau and gold thread, red hearts, meaning the philosophy contained is the value manners that are owned by women Minang, salendang bajaik made of red satin, wearing ornate gold thread embroidery and puncture pinhead, salendang bajaik symbolizes child support, that the Minang women are responsible for their offspring. Suntiang ketek pan made of golden yellow, motif used motifs of flora and fauna, edit symbolizes kinship values upheld by the Minang community. Jewelry is a necklace worn girder pnyiaram armpit / girder ula, made of a material pan golden yellow and silver, where the necklace symbolizes that women are always in a circle of truth, has a solid foundation, bracelets symbolize sustenance that obtained more than desired. Tarompa Tatutuik red, wearing ornate velvet embroidered with gold thread and stab pinhead. Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of kitchen necessities at Hotel Grand Zuri Padang. This research is a descriptive study using qualitative data with survey method. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. This study consists of four indicators, namely management: Planning related to the objective to be achieved is to meet the needs of the guests at meal times, so that kitchen operations run smoothly and achieve the revenue targets that have been set hotel. Organizing related to the work to be done in managing the goods that check stock in chiller and banquet event order to know the event, an order item, perform an examination of the goods that come, and storage of goods into the chiller. The briefing conducted by chef and chef sake done by way of coordination and control. Control of inventory management is done by the chef needs kitchen and for the chef by controlling the way employees work, ensuring that the work is progressing in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and guidebooks that have been granted to employees.Keywords: management, stock, kitchen

Abstract

This research aims to get an overview of personal hygiene  at Pastry  courses.  This type of research is a research survey, the population is  students  who follow the Pastry  courses  listed on the semester January-June 2015 that took the Pastry Courses  and sample  taken  through the total sampling.  Research instrument using the format of research using using two alternative  answers. Data analysis techniques by means of determining frequency distribution  data and determine the level of attainment of respondents.  Personal hygiene  in  workshops the Home Economic is good.  Personal  hygiene with sub indicators of fingers and hands well.Indicators of the head and the hair well. Indicators of clothing work clothes very well. Indicators  shoes stated very good .   Keywords: Personal Hygiene, Pastry Courses, Workshops

Abstract

In the development of a beauty parlor in the city of Padang growing rapidlybut in some unknown operational problems. This study aimed to describe theprofile of a beauty parlor in the city of Padang. This type of research isquantitative descriptive. The research population is all employees, amounting to90 people and all sampled (total sampling). Data collection technique is using aquestionnaire (questionnaire) are adjusted in the form of a Likert scale andGuttman scale that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data wereanalyzed using the percentage formula and categorizing. Based on the results ofresearch on the type of skin beauty care categories. type of hair beauty services ata very good category. Based on the quality of human resources on the acquisitionof competence in the field of beauty expertise acquired 71% of data is a graduateSMA / SMK general, 28% of graduates of vocational Tata Beauty is only 1% TataBeauty Diploma graduates, 47% attended a course skin care, while the formalstatus of the course 29% 62% non-formal. Salon business personnel workaccording to the division of tasks in the medium category with a percentage of78%. 72% of business personnel maintain the beauty salon Health and Safety atWork in the medium category. 62%. Personnel beauty salon business has apersonality according to professional ethics in the unfavorable category. 70% havea beauty salon business personnel hygiene and personal appearance in the mediumcategory. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the public perception of the image of budget hotels in the District Tangah Koto Padang. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The study population was people who were around the budget hotels in the city of Padang District of Koto Tangah amounted to 275 people. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling using purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study 74 people. Data collection techniques performed using a questionnaire using a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Results of research describing About Public Perception image Bed in District Tangah Koto Padang. otherwise the unfavorable category with an average value of 60.20 in the range of 49-> 63. While each of the indicators are: (1) The impression otherwise unfavorable category with an average value of 15.716, in the range of 18 -> 24 (2) Belief expressed unfavorable category with an average value of 26.31, in the range of 21- < 27. Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning media in the form of CD which can assiststudents in learning Flat Pattern Design by methods Pivot Method. This study is alsoto gain an overview of the feasibility study CD media as a learning medium FlatPattern Design. This study is a Research and Development (Research andDevelopment (R & D) is a research method used to produce a particular product andtest the effectiveness of a particular product. CD learning be tested in the Departmentof Family Welfare to students S1 dressmaking class of 2014 the number of 19 people.The steps undertaken in the development of learning CD media are: 1) pendefenisianstage. 2) design phase, 3) the development stage, at this stage of the development ofdata analysis are: 1) the validity of the data analysis, 2) practicalities of data analysis,and data analysis effectiveness. Based on the results of data analysis that is performedto test the validity of validator that expert instructional media obtained a score of 4,13considered valid and validator matter experts obtained a score of 4,4 can becategorized as very valid, the practicalities of the test carried out to a small group ofstudents obtained a score of 3,8 can be categorized as practical while testing thepracticalities large group obtained a score of 4,03 can be considered a practical andeffective data analysis of student test results before and after using instructional CDmedia increased 20,4% which can be considered effective. The media are in a verydecent criteria used as a medium of learning in terms of the validity of the dataanalysis, the practicalities and effectiveness.Kata kunci: CD pembelajaran, flat pattern design, pivot method

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the adoption of Sapta Pesona Attraction in Fort Fort De Kock Bukittinggi which includes seven indicators Sapta Pesona namely: safe, orderly, clean, cool, beautiful, friendly, and memories. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. This study population is the average monthly number is 8231 people. The number of samples in this study are numbered 99 people were taken by using the formula Riduwan. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling (purposive sampling). Data collection techniques using a questionnaire based on the Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the overall application of stepping in attraction Fort Fort de Kock Bukittinggi classified in the category quite well with the average value score of 176.99 in the range of 160 - <200 with the interpretation of the percentage of 46.47%, while under each each indicator are: for safe, orderly, clean, friendly and reasonably good memories of the category and to cool and beautiful in both categories.Key Word: Application, Sapta Pesona, Tourist

Abstract

The purpose in this research to describe the role of supervisionat housekeeping department Royal Denai Hotel Bukittinggi that have five indicators are: supervision of human resource, materials, equipment,standart operating procedure and work area. Abstract

Riau Malay songket woven in Dumai City is a traditional cloth Melayu Riau Riau Malay cultural heritage. Current issues Malay songket weaving is not widely known outside the community of Riau, this study aimed to describe the Riau Malay songket woven In Kota Dumai which includes the type of thread, color, dye and dyeing yarnThe method used is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data in this study is done by using observation, interviews and documentation. Source of data taken is shaped notes both written and non-written (recorded) derived from informants who were interviewed, documentation, literature study. Furthermore, the data reviewed and analyzed by the steps of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Data validation was done with the extension of observation, increase persistence and triangulation.The results showed that the type of thread used to weave songket in Kota Dumai Riau Malay is cotton yarn (CSM) with an assortment of colors, embroidery thread and gold thread for motives. Riau Malay songket woven color in Dumai city which initially predominantly use original colors (red, yellow, green) has developed into unlimited colors, so that the use of color today are very diverse. Dyes used for dyeing yarn dye is artificial (synthetic). Substances in the form of powder or powder color is called dye procion. Natural dye is not used as a reason for the creation of a long natural dyes and natural dye material limitations that exist. The process of yarn dyeing yarn bleaching done in advance, after the bleached yarn dyeing yarn made into a synthetic dye..Keyword: Songket, Melayu, Dumai

Abstract

Computer applications courses mandatory for students dressmaking Family Welfare Department, but there is no module as media student learning, so that students are less active and creative in the PBM. This study aims to generate media forms of learning modules that can help students dressmaking Department of Family Welfare in learning computer applications to design decorative materials using CorelDRAWX4 program. Research also gain an overview of the feasibility of the learning module as a learning medium of computer applications, including the validation module and the practicalities of the module.This study is a Research and Development (R & D) is a research method used to produce a particular product and test the feasibility of the product. In this case a learning module. This learning module is tested its validity by 4 people validator experts in media and materials and tests performed on the practicalities of S1 students dressmaking class of 2014 the number of 18 people. The steps undertaken in the development of this learning module are: 1) define phase. 2) design phase, 3) stages develop. At this stage of the development of data analysis, namely: 1) the validity of the data analysis module, 2) data analysis module practicalities. Data analysis techniques used by calculating the mean.Based on the research results, test the validity of the obtained scores of 4.31 validator can be categorized as very valid. While the practicalities of the test results performed to a small group of students obtained a score of 3.21 categorized as very practical while testing the practicalities of a large group obtained a score of 3.54 categorized as very practical. These modules are in decent Criteria used as a medium of learning courses computer applications student dressmaking Family Welfare Department, Faculty of Engineering University of Padang on designing decorative materials using CorelDRAW X4 program.Kata kunci: Pengembangan Modul , aplikasi komputer, mendesain ragam hias menggunakan progrgram CorelDRAW X4
