Abstract

Putusan keuangan badan usaha adalah cara badan usaha membiayai kegiatan investasinya yang secara garis besar dapat dilakukan dengan dua cara yakni menggunakan sumber pembiayaan dari dalam (internal financing) dan dari luar (external financing). Pembiayaan internal dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan laba ditahan sedangkan pembiayaan eksternal dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa alternatif antara lain dengan menggunakan pinjaman bank, menerbitkan surat utang jangka pendek, yaitu commercial paper, surat utang jangka panjang yaitu obligasi, dan ekutias atau saham. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada urutan pertama dari pembiayaan eksternal yaitu dengan menggunakan pinjaman. Secara teori, ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi badan usaha dalam menentukan besar-kecilnya penggunaan utang, antara lain profitabilitas, risiko bisnis, skala badan usaha, besarnya pajak yang dibayar, dan struktur kepemilikan badan usaha tersebut. Dalam praktiknya tingkat signifikansi dari faktor-faktor tersebut berbeda antara badan usaha yang satu dengan yang lain dan besar kecilnya pengaruh faktor-faktor tersebut dalam menjelaskan besar-kecilnya penggunaan utang tiap badan usaha berbeda-beda,

Abstract

The falling down of WTC building in US at September 11, 2001 give the seriously impact to the foreign exchange rate fluctuation, especially for the given countries around the world whose has deeply active transaction concern to US Dollar, including the countries in ASEAN region. The change of foreign exchange rate in ASEAN region not always appreciated but some of them turn to depreciated when it's ahead to US Dollar. This situation will influence the discrepancy on rate of return of US dollar in ASEAN countries, before and after the accident of September 11.According to our research, the result significantly explore the differentiation on rate return during seven days before and after the accident but there's no differentiation on rate of return during three days and the day after seven days from the accident.

Abstract

Several studies in international investment give understanding about chance to invest in others countries. This article purposes to descript another investment opportunity for Indonesian investor in international area. The sample including Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX), Strait Times Singapore (STS), Nikkei 225 Japan (Nikkei), Dow Jones Industrial Average USA (DJIA), dan Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) 100 London. Data sets are weekly market return for years 1998 through 1999 periode.The result showed that in sample periode, JSX market returns have negatif relation or very little relation with others markets. Its means investors have chance to diversify their investment portfolio in international area.

Abstract

Linux is an operating system that it's presence offer many "new concepts" to the market. It’s an open source software developed under GNU project using General Public License (GPL), that gives everyone freedom to run, copy, distribute, study, change, and improve the software. The GNU Project was launched in 1984 to develop a complete Unix-like operating system which is free software: the GNU system. GNU is a recursive acronym for "GNU's Not Unix”; it is pronounced “guh-NEW", In Other way we can say that Linux developed, manufactured, and distributed by it's own costumers. They joined together in the Linux communities and create a network among them. It has a unique lateral pattern of relationship. The Author named all of this as the “Linux Phenomenon". This articles will begin by explaining theories about network, and then discuss the and then discuss the Linux phenomenon. Later, the author will explore the Linux's "breakthrough" in networking, and the implication of "how to do business".

Abstract

Although in both economic literatures and practices the most frequently used catchword is "globalization ", the current company environment in reality is not characterized by such worldwide multilaterally or an increasing degree of homogeneity in customer tastes. Recent research suggests that globalisasi is a myth. Far from taking place in a single global market, most business activities by large firms take place in regional blocks especially in AFT A, NAFTA, and European Union. Nevertheless, some indications point to a transition from regionalization to globalisasi in the long run.

This paper will describe about methods or tools for approach of Quality Control, involving functions in educational institution to monitoring, controlling and increasing the effect of Learning Process in Study Program. Technique of Control Chart, Survey of Student, and House of Quality (HOQ) used to justify the methods in one subject as an integrated system.
