Abstract

The intensive market competition requires company to quickly respond every single change that happen in order to offer a - state of the art - product to customer. These fact strive company accommodating all the inputs from various sources with different perspective. Therefore, it is necessary for a company to create a team that involve various management functions.These various function are organised in the form of modular architecture which consist of product architecture, process, and knowledge. A proper comprehension in product structure, production process, and knowledge in market technology should make company more rapidly in promoting their product in efficiently lower cost.

Abstract

Nowadays implementation of quality management needs some techniques to collect information for managerial decision-making so continuous improvement process can be achieved. One of the important aspects in quality management is making decision base on facts or data. Facts or data could be collected through quality performance measurement and must be processed through statistical-analytical process. The Eight Steps and Seven Tools (DELTA in Indonesian Phrases, means DELapan langkah dan Tujuh Alat) is a statistical method that is developed to facilitate the quality improvement process, identify operational problems, and make the right actions to solve tire problems. The spreading of this successful method in Japan has been done by conducting periodic national convention on Quality Control Circle.This paper describes how to implement this method for solving the problem of teaching-leaming-process-improvement for Mathematical 1 subject in Faculty of Economics, the University of Surabaya. At the end, this paper discusses evidences that indicate about the usefulness of this method.

Abstract

Consequence of the freely floating system and freely foreign exchange system, rupiah could he easily fluctuated, because exchange rate shift not in response but as governed by the interaction between supply and demand in the money markets. The supply and demand forces are influenced by the relative interest rate and relative of inflation. Thus this study examine whether there is a difference of magnitude in the influence of the relative interest rate and relative rate of inflation to the USD - IRD exchange rate when Indonesia adopts respectively the managed float exchange rate system and the freely floating exchange rate system. The finding shows at the level of confidence 95%, that there is no significant difference in the influence of the relative interest rate and relative rate of inflation to the USD - IRD exchange rates between both systems.

Abstract

Career development in organization is an issue that getting more and more attention, both from academicians and practitioners. Career mobility in organization can't be separated from leadership role within, Moreover, career system applied in organization also has effect toward career mobility. Career mobility in an organization can be viewed either in individual context or organizational context. In an individual context, there are several factors affecting career mobility, such as social class; education and training; self-concept regarding career; career choice; family influence; age; gender; and race. At the same time, career mobility in an organizational context is affected by factors such as internal tabor market; career ladder; promotion; training and development; selection criteria and method; and internal competition.

Abstract

Pertimbangan strategi dalam manajemen sumber daya badan usaha telah diterima secant luas. Banyak makalah yang telah membahas konsep tentang hal tersebut, namun penerapan konsep tersebut pada badan usaha aktual seringkali dipertanyakan, sehingga menimbulkan pendapat bahiva teori/konsep tidak sesuai dengan praktek. Bertitik tolak dari hal tersebut,, makalah ini membahas tentang penerapan manajemen sumber daya yang strategis di suatu badan usaha aktual, yaitu Qantas Airways Limited, sehingga dapat diperoleh gambaran yangjelas tentang aplikasi dari konsep yang ada. Analisa stategi manajemen sumber daya Qantas dilakukan berdasarkan pertimbangan kemampuan Qantas dalam nienghasilkan nilai tambah bagi stakeholders utamanya. Analisa dilakukan mulai dari Ungkungan eksternal, internal dan kompetensi utama yang dimiliki oleh Qantas. Dari hasil analisa tersebut dapat ditemukan ancaman dan peluang utama dari Qantas, sehingga dibagian akhir makalah ini akan dibahas rekomendasi untuk strategi Qantas di masa mendatang berdasarkan sumber daya internal yang Qantas miliki.

Abstract

Indonesian Local Governments have to finance their activities from their own effort. Realizing that there are many wealthy regions, but not slightly un-wealthy regions, it is important to think about effectiveness and accountability for Local Govemmenst to manage their asset to bring into real wealthy community.This article tries to give a few perspectives how to manage income for Local Government. It gives explanation about definition of income for Local Government, how they should be got and how they should be recorded under accrual base to become accountable, and how they should be used to measure effectiveness of Local Government activities.
