Abstract

Parkinson’s Disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects motor functions and verbal communication of the patients. Early detection of this disease is crucial to improving patients’ quality of life. This study aims to develop an early detection system for Parkinson’s Disease by utilizing sound frequency as the primary feature. The algorithm employed in this research is Random Forest, with the analysis process following the CRISP-DM approach, which includes six phases: business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. Based on the test results, the developed model achieved an accuracy of 94.92% on the dataset used. These findings indicate that the Random Forest algorithm can be effectively implemented as an early detection system for Parkinson’s Disease using sound frequency data.

Abstract

Lung cancer is one of the deadliest diseases and a major global health issue. Early detection is crucial to improving survival rates; however, challenges remain in prediction accuracy due to class imbalance in medical datasets. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm combined with the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) for early detection of lung cancer. The dataset used was obtained from Kaggle.com and consists of 1000 patient records with 26 clinical and demographic features. The research process followed the CRISP-DM methodology, which includes business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment stages. In the modeling phase, the KNN algorithm was implemented with k=3 after applying SMOTE to balance the class distribution. Evaluation results showed excellent model performance with an accuracy of 99.50%, and precision, recall, and F1-score values that were nearly perfect. Therefore, the combination of the KNN algorithm and SMOTE has proven to be effective in enhancing the predictive capability for lung cancer severity levels, indicating its potential to be developed into a medical decision support system in the future.

Abstract

Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a wireless communication technology that utilizes visible light as a medium for transmitting information. This study develops a VLC-based audio communication system using a laser diode (LD) as a transmitter and a solar panel as an audio signal receiver. This system is designed to evaluate the performance of voice transmission in various lighting conditions (bright and dark), distances (1–48 meters), and variations in the angle of light transmission and reflection. The test results show that the system is able to transmit audio stably up to a distance of 48 meters, both in bright and dark conditions. However, the sound quality received tends to be higher and more stable in dark conditions, with an average dB value above 90 dB, and minimal interference from environmental light. In addition, high tones such as la, sol, and si show the best quality in both conditions. The test of the beam angle and reflection through the mirror also proved that the system remains effective even though the angle and distance increase, especially in low light intensity environments. From the overall results, this laser-based VLC system is proven to be an efficient, power-saving, and electromagnetic interference-resistant wireless audio communication alternative, and is very suitable for use in dark indoor environments or areas sensitive to radio waves. Abstract

Disturbances in power distribution networks, such as growing trees or the presence of animals near electrical cables, can disrupt electricity flow and pose safety risks. To address this, a remote monitoring system was developed using LoRa (Long Range) communication for long-distance, low-power data transmission. The system integrates a JSN-SR04T ultrasonic sensor to measure the distance between objects (e.g., trees) and power lines. When the detected distance is less than the safe limit of 2.5 meters, a warning buzzer is triggered, and the ESP32-CAM module captures an image of the surrounding area. Data and images are transmitted via LoRa RA-02 in a point-to-point setup and displayed in real-time using an IoT platform. Testing results show that the ultrasonic sensor provides accurate measurements with an average error of 1.12%. LoRa communication remained reliable up to approximately 348 meters, with minor interference caused by physical obstacles. The ESP32-CAM successfully captured images when objects were detected. This system proves to be effective for early detection and monitoring of potential disturbances in power distribution networks

Abstract

Motor induksi tiga fasa adalah alat listrik yang mengubah energy listrik menjadi energi mekanik, dimana listrik yang diubah adalah listrik 3 fasa. Abstract

Amidst intense competition in the online transportation sector in Indonesia, customer satisfaction has become crucial, yet related research remains fragmented. This study conducted a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of journals from 2021 to 2025 to map trends, platforms, and factors influencing user satisfaction. The analysis results show that Gojek and Grab are the most frequently studied platforms. Service quality and price are the most commonly analyzed factors and have consistently been proven to have a positive and significant impact on user satisfaction. This study integrates existing findings to provide a comprehensive overview.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim dan kerusakan lingkungan akibat alih fungsi lahan yang tidak terkendali, memberikan dampak pada terjadinya bencana alam. Banjir adalah satu jenis bencana alam yang menjadi permasalahan didaerah perkotaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi material ringan pada desain rumah tinggal sederhana adaptif terhadap banjir sebagai respons terhadap meningkatnya frekuensi bencana banjir di kawasan perkotaan, khususnya di Kota Bandar Lampung seperti kecamatan Bumi Waras, Teluk Betung Selatan, Terluk Betung Timur, dan Kecamatan Panjang. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh konfigurasi tatanan ruang pada denah rumah sederhana tipe 36 dan pemilihan material terhadap berat bangunan sebagai parameter kritis dalam kinerja sistem adaptif seperti apung atau elevasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi literatur dan analisis komparatif terhadap dua model denah rumah tipe 36A plong atau lurus dan zig-zag atau bersilang. Hasil penelitian terhadap analisis volumetrik dan perhitungan berat total menunjukkan bahwa tipe plong memiliki berat lebih ringan, yaitu 5.020,88 kg dibandingkan tipe zig-zag sebesar 5.420,30 kg, atau 9,6% lebih berat akibat kebutuhan konfigurasi ruang ekstra yang berkorelasi terhadap berat mati bangunan. Material ringan seperti baja ringan, sandwich panel, dan genteng metal terbukti efektif mengurangi beban mati, meskipun material seperti PVC pada plafon perlu dipertimbangkan ulang karena menyumbang 31,79% terhadap beban non-struktural. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, desain tipe 36A lebih direkomendasikan karena memberikan efisiensi struktural, reduksi massa, dan optimalisasi material, mendukung konsep rumah adaptif yang aman, berkelanjutan, dan responsif terhadap perubahan iklim.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tantangan manajemen risiko bencana di Rumah Sakit Aman Bencana (RSAB). Hasil studi menyatakan bahwa Manajemen Risiko Bencana adalah rangkaian tindakan yang meliputi perencanaan dan penanganan bencana sebelum, selama, dan setelah terjadinya bencana. Dalam implementasi manajemen risiko bencana, Rumah Sakit Aman Bencana (RSAB) menghadapi beragam tantangan. Pertama, RSAB harus mengatasi tantangan dalam penanganan bencana terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Hal ini mencakup aspek seperti aksesibilitas fisik, penyediaan peralatan medis khusus, pelatihan staf, dan komunikasi efektif. RSAB juga perlu dilengkapi dengan fasilitas pendukung seperti handrails, guiding block, dan sistem peringatan dini untuk memastikan keselamatan dan pelayanan yang optimal bagi penyandang disabilitas. Kedua, RSAB juga dihadapkan pada tantangan dalam pembangunan infrastruktur yang tahan bencana, termasuk masalah pembiayaan, aspek teknis, dan ketersediaan sumber daya. Ketiga, RSAB dihadapkan oleh tantangan implementasi Hospital Disaster Plan (HDP) dan standarisasi RSAB, hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang terlatih, keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi informasi, dan perubahan kondisi lingkungan yang tidak terduga. Keempat, tantangan dalam pembentukan klaster kesehatan dan penyusunan pedoman RSAB dimana sangat memerlukan koordinasi efektif antar berbagai pihak serta penanganan perbedaan kebutuhan dan kapasitas setiap rumah sakit. Kelima, tantangan yang dihadapi adalah RSAB harus memiliki ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana, seperti bangunan tahan bencana, sistem pemadam kebakaran, jalur evakuasi yang jelas, peralatan medis darurat, sistem peringatan dini, dan pasokan air dan listrik cadangan.

Abstract

Vernacular architecture represents the physical embodiment of local wisdom shaped by adaptation to environmental conditions, cultural practices, and available materials. One example of such architecture in Indonesia is Lamban Pesagi, the traditional house of the Lampung Pepadun ethnic group, which holds significant historical, cultural, and technical value. This study aims to identify and analyze the wooden joinery systems employed in the construction of Lamban Pesagi as part of efforts to preserve traditional building techniques increasingly threatened by modernization. The research adopts a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach through field observation, visual documentation, technical sketching, and literature review. The object of study is a Lamban Pesagi structure relocated to the Lampung Museum. The findings reveal a variety of joinery techniques, including mortise-and-tenon joints, wooden pegs, ornamental clamped joints, oblique mortise-and-tenon, and lashed joints. Each joint type serves specific structural functions according to its location in the foundation, mid-structure, or roof zone and demonstrates a high level of technical sophistication. These techniques not only ensure structural strength and stability but also provide lateral flexibility and efficient use of local materials. The identified joinery systems exhibit strong potential for integration into contemporary timber construction practices focused on sustainability. The documentation and analysis of these traditional joints contribute significantly to the preservation of Nusantara’s architectural heritage and the development of sustainable construction practices rooted in indigenous knowledge.

Abstract

Wilayah pesisir selatan Jawa memiliki potensi risiko bencana tsunami yang sangat tinggi akibat keberadaan zona subduksi megathrust. Salah satu wilayah terdampak potensial adalah Kelurahan Ploso di Kabupaten Pacitan, Jawa Timur. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesiapan jalur evakuasi dan lokasi tempat evakuasi bencana tsunami berdasarkan pendekatan partisipatif masyarakat. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kombinasi pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif, dengan pemetaan ancaman, proyeksi jumlah penduduk terdampak, serta analisis kapasitas evakuasi jalur berdasarkan standar BNPB dan ITB. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar jalur evakuasi eksisting belum memenuhi kriteria teknis evakuasi karena hambatan fisik, kapasitas sempit, serta keterbatasan aksesibilitas bagi kelompok rentan. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam penentuan jalur dan tempat evakuasi menunjukkan efektivitas pendekatan bottom-up dalam perencanaan mitigasi bencana. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perlunya pembangunan Tempat Evakuasi Sementara (TES), peningkatan kapasitas jalur evakuasi, dan integrasi perencanaan teknis dengan pendekatan sosial untuk mewujudkan kawasan tangguh bencana berbasis komunitas
