Abstract

Hospitalization does not only cause anxiety of the children, but also of the parents. Parental responses to child hospitalization such as: anger, anxiety, insecurity, uncooperative, frustrated and stressful. One of effort to minimize parental stress is the implementation of atraumatic care by nurses. The objective of this study is to know the relationship between the implementation of atraumatic care by nurses with parental stress during the infant’s hospitalization in perinatology ward, Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The type of this study was non-experimental research, with a cross-sectional design. Purposive sampling Technique was used with total of 95 respondents, whose parents were hospitalized in the Perinatology ward of Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data analysis used kendall tau. The results of this study indicated that there was a relationship between the application of atraumatic care by nurses with parental stress during the process of infant’s hospitalization in the Perinatology ward of Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Kendall tau test results obtained correlation coefficient of 0.889 with p = 0.000 (p value 0.05). The majority of the implementation of atraumatic care was in the good category, that was 43 respondents (45.2%) and the stress experienced by parents in the low stress category, that was 44 respondents (46.3%). The better implementation of atraumatic care, the lower the stress level of parents. The conclusion was There was a relationship between the implementation of atraumatic care by nurses with parental stress during infant’s hospitalization.

Abstract

Hospitalization of infant causes stress of the parents. Stress which is experienced by parents during infant’s hospitalization has a negative impact. Some of the effects of parental stress include physical problems (fatigue, insomnia, gastritis, headaches, anorexia), and psychosocial problems (frustration, depression, self-blame, emotional and uncooperative) One of the services that can minimize parental stress is implementation of family centered care. The objective of this research is to know the relationship between the implementation of family centered care by nurse with parental stress during infant’s hospitalization in Perinatology Ward Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul,Yogyakarta.This research was a non-experimental, with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total of 95 respondents whose parents were hospitalized in the Perinatology Ward of Panembahan Senopati Hospital, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data was perfomed by kendall tau test. Family centered care application carried out by nurses in the Perinatology Ward of Panembahan Senopati Hospital Bantul, Yogyakarta, was in the majority in the good category of 45 respondents (47.4%), and the stress experienced by parents in the low stress category was 44 respondents (46.3%). Correlation test results p-value = 0.000 (p-value 0.05)and r = 0.899.The conclussion was there was a relationship between the implementation of family centered care performed by nurses with parental stress during infant’s hospitalization. The better implementation of family centered care, the lower the stress level of parents.

Abstract

Recently, tuberculosis is still a global health problem in the world as well as in Indonesia. Millions of people die and contract tuberculosis every year. Various strategies and efforts are made to reduce the incidence of TB one with health education. Health education for more effective results required an educational media. Audiovisual media and booklets are considered interesting media. This study aims to know the effect of health education with audiovisual and booklet media toward caregiver behavior in preventing tuberculosis in family members. The research used Quasy experiment approach and one group pretest-posttest with control group design. This study was conducted in 2 health centers in Bantul district, with a total sample of 30 respondents The results of this study indicated that in the intervention group there was an increase in TB prevention behavior score of 28.46. This number is more than in the control group which is equal to 9. The comparison test results are obtained p = 0.000. The conclusion of this study was that health education with audiovisual media can improve caregiver behavior in preventing tuberculosis in family members.

Abstract

Head of Family knowledge about earthquake disaster management is very important in disaster preparedness, it is expected that the community is ready to handle earthquake disaster. In order not to panic and grow negatively against them. The people of Kiringan village are very affected by the earthquake disaster due to disaster prone areas. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of knowledge level of disaster management with earthquake disaster preparedness to family head in Kiringan Village, Canden, Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta. There search used quantitative research type with analytic observation with crosssectional design. The sampling technique using consecutive sampling and samples in this study were 57 family heads in Kiringan Village Canden Jetis Bantul Yogyakarta. Bivariate analysis using spearman rank test. There wasn’t significant correlation between knowledge level of disaster management with earthquake disaster preparedness in the head of family in Kiringan village, Canden, Jetis, Village, Bantul, Yogyakarta got value of Correlation Coefficient 0.104, with significant value equal to 0.441 (p value 0.05). There was nocorrelation between knowledge level of disaster management with earthquake disaster preparedness on family head in Kiringan Village, Canden, Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The public demand for health service professionalism and transparent financial management made some Puskesmas in Semarang regency changed the status of public health center to BLUD. The implementation of Puskesmas BLUD and non-BLUD requires resources that it can work well in order to meet the expectations of the community. The aim of this study is to know the difference of work motivation and job satisfaction of employees in Puskesmas BLUD and non-BLUD. Method of this research is a comparative descriptive with a quantitative approach. The object of this research are work motivation and job satisfaction of employees in Puskesmas BLUD and non-BLUD Semarang regency. This Research showed that Sig value. (P-value) work motivation variable was 0.019 smaller than α value (0.05). It showed that there was a difference of work motivation of employees in Puskemas BLUD and non-BLUD. Sig value (P-value) variable of job satisfaction was 0.020 smaller than α value (0.05). It showed that there was a difference of job satisfaction of BLUD and non-BLUD. The average of non-BLUD employees motivation were 76.59 smaller than the average of BLUD employees were 78.25. The average of job satisfaction of BLUD employees were 129.20 bigger than the average of non-BLUD employee were 124.26. Job satisfaction of employees in Puskesmas BLUD was higher than non-BLUD employees.
