Jurnal IPI menyajikan informasi mutakhir hasil kajian dan penelitian bidang kepustakawanan, yang mencakup: - Ilmu perpustakaan—profesi pustakawan, organisasi pustakawan, tata ruang perpustakaan; koleksi perpustakaan, manajemen koleksi, otomasi perpustakaan, dan perpustakaa digital. - Ilmu dokumentasi—preservasi koleksi, manajemen database, metadata, katalogisasi, klasifikasi, warisan budaya/dokumenter, kemas ulang informasi, digitalisasi koleksi, alih media, dan pengelolaan pengetahuan. - Ilmu informasi—organisasi informasi, manajemen informasi perpustakaan, publikasi ilmiah, bibliometrik, altmetrik, webometrik, dan sistem informasi perpustakaan.

<![CDATA[This study aims to formulate the concept identity number of college library collections using barcodes. Identity number (ID) is prepared according to the characteristics of the university. The preparation is guided by the concept used in preparing the student’s identity number (NIM). This research was conducted at Andalas University. The research data was collected using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Based on the questionnaire results 80% of libraries in Indonesia still use barcodes as a medium to provide collection identity numbers. Some of these libraries do not have written rules for compiling barcode numbers. The ID number compiled in this study contains elements of year, ownership code (faculty), location code where the collection is located, type of collection, the source of acquisition, and index number. The resulting identity number has accommodated all collections in universities, both central library, faculty, and departments. This concept supports the integration process of college library collections and makes it easier to identify collection ownership. Another advantage is that there is no identical identity number for different collections (redundancy) which can cause inconsistencies in the giving of identity. In addition, consideration of the use of various elements in the preparation of this identification number is to facilitate the grouping of collections, as well as the preparation of periodic reports on the library.]]>

<![CDATA[Perpustakaan keliling selama ini biasanya hanya memberikan layanan membaca ditempat saja padahal pembaca khususnya anak-anak lebih suka dibacakan cerita atau mendengarkan dongeng sehingga kunjungan per hari masyarakat ke perpustakaan keliling contohnya di Kota Makassar hanya berkisar rata-rata 20-50 orang/ kunjungan dan angka budaya baca di Kota Makassar pada saat itu (2015) masih rendah yakni di angka 28, 34 %. Perpustakaan keliling merupakan layanan ekstensi dari layanan Perpustakaan Umum Kota Makassar yakni memberikan layanan perpustakaan kepada masyarakat yang lokasinya jauh dari perpustakaan. Awal tahun 2016, akhirnya perpustakaan keliling Kota Makassar melakukan inovasi dengan memberikan layanan tambahan dongeng keliling dengan nama program Dongeng Keliling bersama Perpustakaan Keliling (Dongkel with Mobile Library). Program Dongkel with Mobile Library yang sudah berjalan dua tahun ini merupakan program yang dirancang sebagai daya tarik perpustakaan keliling khususnya kepada anak-anak untuk gemar membaca. Selain itu layanan ini sebagai wadah pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berprofesi sebagai pendongeng atau yang hobi dengan mendongeng. Dengan program ini perpustakaan keliling mampu merekrut 26 pendongeng yang terdiri dari pendongeng lokal, alumni juara dongeng dan pemerhati minat baca. Setelah program ini berjalan antusias masyarakat yang dikunjungi perpustakaan keliling sangat tinggi bahkan meminta untuk dikunjugi ulang. Dongkel with Mobile Library dapat meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung atau pembaca di Perpustakaan Keliling. Pada tahun 2016, Pengunjung naik rata-rata 100 orang/ kunjungan/ hari khususnya anak-anak. Kemudian angka budaya baca tahun 2017 tumbuh menjadi 42,91 %. Selain itu jadwal permintaan atau pemesanan mobil perpustakaan keliling meningkat dan beberapa pendongeng mendapat panggilan khusus mendongeng atau menjadi dewan juri dibeberapa tempat hingga di luar daerah yang tentunya itu semua buah dari program ini menjadi salah satu usaha mendekatkan perpustakaan kepada masyarakat dan meningkatkan kegemaran membaca serta peran perpustakaan menjadi wadah para pendongeng di Kota Makassar. Pada tahun 2017, inovasi Dongkel with Mobile Library mendapatkan penghargaan dari Kepmenpan RB sebagai Top 99 Inovasi Nasional.Kata Kunci : Perpustakaan Kelilin]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted to find out how to digitally natively in finding information to fulfill their duties. The results of this study will provide a discourse for librarians to understand the character of users and to improve the quality of excellent service. The approach uses the Ellis, Cox and Hall information behavior model. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that respondents prefer to go straight to the shelf without looking at the catalog first, using the internet as a companion information source. Respondents use the internet as a means to seek entertainment and social networking. The second respondent in the search for information on the use of the internet as an information source is more dominant than the library.]]>

<![CDATA[Library replication is an information literacy improvement program for women’s empowerment in Bojanegara Village, Sigaluh District, Banjarnegara District, Central Java Province. Activities carried out include improving the quality of human resources and infrastructure assistance. In order to find out and describe the perceptions and motivations of female librarians for library replication programs in the location villages, this study uses quantitative descriptive methods. Collecting data other than through questionnaires, interviews were also conducted using interview guides. To analyze the data, used the Relative Distribution Frequency Method and Cross Tabulation Analysis. The results showed that the perception and motivation of female readers influenced the implementation of librarian replication programs.]]>

This article describes the new innovation of information retrieval services at Pusjatan’s library. The method of this articles is literature review and case study in Pusjatan’s Library. The result is, electronic journal (e-journal) is one of e-resources in Pusjatan’s library which can support the research in Pusjatan. <![CDATA[The achievement of librarian performance is closely related to the purpose of its agency. Librarians within the scope of the Ministry of Agriculture are librarians who are appointed through the selection of Civil Servant registration and regulated Performance by Minister of Administrative Reform Decree No. 132 / KEP / M.PAN / 12/2002 on Functional Position of Librarian and Credit Score. Achieving optimal performance requires a boost in running it. The motivation for work is a good driver factor not separated. This study aimed to analyzed how motivational factors significantly affect the performance of librarians scope of the Ministry of Agriculture. The study was conducted on 30 institutions under the Ministry of Agriculture with the number of respondents as much as 72 respondents. The result shows that motivating factors that affect the performance of librarians in the scope of the ministry of agriculture namely working conditions and salary/allowances. While the policy, quality of supervision, and interpersonal relationships do not affect the performance of librarians.]]>

<![CDATA[Bahasan mengenai generasi millennial saat ini menjadi trend karena perilaku mereka yang berbeda dengan generasi sebelumnya. Bagaimana dengan generasi pascamillenial yang saat ini sudah mulai terlihat?. Generasi pasca milenial yang biasa disebut generasi Zhed dan alfa mempunyai ciri yang unik diantara generasi millennials yaitu sangat mahir menggunakan teknologi. Tulisan ini akan mencoba melihat bagaimana perpustakaan dijalankan oleh generasi millennials untuk para generasi pascamillenials. Metodologi yang dipakai adalah deskriptif analis terhadap aspek pengadaan dan pengolahan informasi , aspek Pelayanan perpustakaan dan aspek kualifikasi Pustakawan di era generasi pascamillenial, data diambil dengan menggunakan forum grup diskusi dengan melibatkan pustakawan dari Inggris, Malaysia, India dan Jepang. Untuk mendukung data dilakukan studi pustaka dan wawancara dari pakar salah satunya adalah dari Library of Congress – Washington DC yang sedang berkunjung ke Indonesia untuk menghadiri Lokakarya. Data dianalisa dan diolah secara deskritif sehingga mendapatkan gambaran utuh mengenai bagaimana pengelolaan perpustakaan di tangan generasi millennials. Temuan yang diperoleh adalah ketiga aspek tersebut akan sangat berubah dengan hadirnya teknolgi kecerdasan buatan dan bigdata serta machine learning. Selain itu perpustakaan akan berperan penting sebagai hyper konektifitas pengetahuan yang berfungsi sebagai konektor pengetahuan kepada komunitas, pemerintah, individu. kesimpulan dari paper ini adalah pelayanan perpustakaan di era pascamillenial akan semakin kompleks dan kemampuan pustakawan yang akan banyak berubah dari dari banyak hal bukan hanya aspek teknis maupun aspek non teknis seperti kemampuan untuk mentransformasikan pengetahuan kepada pemustaka di tangan generasi pascamilenial.]]>
