Abstract

This study discusses how the role of social workers in healing traumatic victims of KTD (Unwanted Pregnancy). The purpose of this research is to find out what are the roles played by social workers in healing traumatic victims of KTD. This study uses qualitative research through observation and interview techniques in which researchers are directly involved in the research process to obtain the information needed. The subject of the informants in this study were social workers who handled the victims of unwanted pregnancies in Women's Social Protection and Rehabilitation Center (BPRSW). The results of this study indicate that the role of social workers in healing traumatic victims of KTD is done by providing guidance, motivation and advice to victims so that victims are free from trauma and can continue their lives well in pregnancy.Keywords: The Role Of Social Workers, Healing Of Traumatic, Unwanted Pregnancy

Abstract

Women are a very productive source of labor in all fields. In this case village women tend to be housewives and their space to develop skills is very limited. Researchers aimed to determine the empowerment of cadres in the family welfare in the District of Pakis, Magelang Regency. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the Head of the Banyusidi Village, the Driving Cadre of the Banyusidi Village. In collecting data researchers used the method of observation, interviews and documentation. While in the data analysis techniques researchers used data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that PKK Cadre Empowerment based on the theory of the empowerment process was divided into 5 stages namely Enabling, Empowering, Protecting, Supporting, and Fostering. Of the 5 stages the process has not been able to run optimally, especially in Enabling and Fostering. While the factors which become obstacles in empowering women through PKK come from members and also from the environment. While the supporters are strong encouragement from the board and the existence of support from outside the group.Keywords: Empowerment of women, PKK, Family Welfare

Abstract

Every family would want a clean and healthy environment. The level of achieving social welfare can also be passed through behaviors that reflect cleanliness of the environment. This also applies to scavenger families in Babarsari's shanties. In this context, the research was conducted in Babarsari's shanties in the type of field research and was descriptive qualitative in nature. Those who work as scavengers do not recognize clean and healthy living behaviors or PHBS. They are used to environmental life which can be said to not support the survival of their children. An environment full of garbage has become their usual sight. To analyze PHBS, Abraham Maslow's theory of Hirearki's theory of Human Needs is used. The results of this study are that those scavenger families do not have the awareness of the importance of basic needs, such as clean and healthy life behavior or PHBS.Keywords: Social Welfare, Family, Scavenger, Healthy Living Behaviors

Abstract

This article describes the discrimination of people with HIV / AIDS in the Smile Plus Temanggung Peer Support Group. Besides this research is also to find out the subject responding to discrimination that occurs in the family environment, work environment, and social environment. In this study, the authors used a qualitative method with a case study model. The focus of the study is to examine the discrimination experienced by people with HIV / AIDS. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation, with triangulation techniques to test the validity of the data. The results of this study show that of the five research subjects four of them experienced discrimination in the form of direct discrimination and indirect discrimination with sources of discrimination originating from the family and work environment, while in the social environment they did not experience discrimination because the environment did not know their status.Keywords: Discrimination, HIV / AIDS, Peer support groups, Smile Plus

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the role played by the Sayangi Tunas Cilik Foundation Partner of Save the Children Pusat Dukungan Anak dan Keluarga (PDAK) program in building social service management in Yogyakarta orphanages. The results showed that there were several roles, namely the facilitative role through the socialization of the application of the National Childcare Standards (SNPA), the educational role through training in the form of workshops and capacity building in case counseling, the role of representatives through PDAK efforts in assisting the completeness of LKSA accreditation administration and the technical role through data processing training with a case management approach. The results of the role of building service management include understanding and developing LKSA's capabilities in family-based care, implementing case management, and acknowledging LKSA through accreditation. All the assistance roles carried out by PDAK are to increase family-based care and instill a culture of good parenting, and to support the recognition of the LKSA service system through LKSA accreditation.Keywords: Role of PDAK, management of social services, children and families

Abstract

This study discusses how the coping strategies of graduate students who have two roles, namely as students and workers. The purpose of this research is to find out the coping strategies of students who work in organizing, completing assignments and carrying out lectures. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interview and observation techniques, that is, the researcher was directly involved (participatory). The informants in this study were five students of the 2018 social work class, Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The results of this study indicate that the obstacles experienced by students who work are the difficulty in dividing time, changes in class schedules, and work assignments. The strategy used to overcome the obstacles that exist for the smooth running of the study is to use strategy focused coping, emotion focused coping, long-term coping, and short-term coping. Keywords: Strategy coping, students, work.
