Abstract

Company X is one of the companies engaged in the telecommunications business. To improve customer service, the company developed an Application Programming Interface). The developed API is used to promote product packages to customers. Sending data via API to millions of customers at the same time, can lead to failures due to the inability of the server to process that data. JMeter is one of the tools that can be used to perform performance testing of an API by providing TPS calculation output. Bulk data files are used as input to process large amounts of customer data on JMeter. Proper thread properties settings affect the TPS value, and the study has managed to achieve the TPS value to be achieved with error rate = 0, which means success.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to evaluate the performance of information systems in terms of functionality of the in-house developed and outsourced information systems of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Samar, Philippines. A descriptive research design was used in order to obtain information on the performance of the information systems in terms of functionality. The technique employed for data collection was physical evaluation using an observation sheet. A total of thirteen (13) information systems were subjected to performance evaluation as there were thirteen HEIs from the different provinces of Samar Island that participated in the study. The overall results showed that the outsourced systems had better performance in terms of functionality since most of the indicators were completely existing and functional. On the other hand, the in-house systems have performed fairly with regards to the required features and functionalities of the system. The results of the study suggest that HEIs should acquire information systems that are completely functional, regardless of what acquisition method is adopted. Having information systems equipped with the required functionality features, the administrative and academic functions of HEIs are effectively and efficiently delivered.

Abstract

Air Sugihan is one of the 18 sub-districts in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province which has 19 villages. After observation, in the annual program policy planning carried out by the Air Sugihan District, almost all development plans need to have an information base for future time estimates, namely predictions of population growth rates. Therefore, this study aims to contribute to the Air Sugihan sub-district by conducting a predictive analysis of the population growth rate with the least square method and implementing it into an application. The use of the least square method is a suitable method for predicting the rate of population growth. From the results of the analysis of prediction calculations for 2021, the same results were obtained with the details of the birth value of 762 with MAD errors (77.04) and MAPE (11.78 %), the death value of 460 with MAD errors (65.41) and MAPE (20.41 %), the Migration-coming value of 637 with MAD errors (190.67) and MAPE (81.55 %) and the Migration-away value of 877 with errors MAD (169.99) and MAPE (45.35 %). With the implementation into the application, it facilitates the process of managing population growth rate data in determining the results of predictions or forecasting and conclusions can be drawn from the prediction results for which factors or variables are more specific to affect the rate of population growth in the future.

Abstract

Control Objective for Information Related Technology (COBIT 4.0 and 4.1) is one of Indonesia's most popular information technology audit frameworks. This article compares the maturity level of implementing information systems in Indonesia, especially government agencies, educational institutions, health institutions, and companies. The method used is a literature study of the research results from 2015-to 2020 related to COBIT 4.0 and COBIT 4.1. This study's results indicate that the conceptual framework of COBIT 4.1 is more dominant than COBIT 4.0. The Plan and Organize (PO) domain and the Delivery and Support (DS) domain are mainly used to focus studies on government agencies and companies. Meanwhile, the maturity level is dominated by the repeatable but intuitive (level 2) and defined process (level 3), which can be repeated and defined. Thus, studies on information system audit using the COBIT 4.0 and 4.1 conceptual frameworks need to be improved in education and health agencies or other agencies that integrate business processes with information technology.

Abstract

Education in the industrial era 4.0 experienced very significant changes. The role of information technology is a significant trend in education. Since the pandemic occurred at the beginning of 2020, almost all schools and even universities have indirectly demanded rapid changes in adapting to digitalization methods. It was also found that there were many obstacles during the pandemic in the implementation of information technology. The Indonesian state itself in education is still adapting and starting to develop with the existence of models of information technology approaches that can be implemented in academic activities, especially on campuses. Since 2010 it has been following the smart campus concept and model development. However, it was found to be varied due to the absence of a benchmark index in the campus's preparation, monitoring, and evaluation. Through the Rainbow Framework, this will be a solution in measuring the feasibility level through monitoring and evaluating the use of technology with a quality assurance approach. The results can be seen from the components that have been built using the calculation model for the quality of technology education in Indonesia.
