Abstract

Proses daur ulang (pemanfaatan kembali) sampah botol plastic menjadi paving block bertujuan untuk mencegah dan mengurangi peningkatan jumlah limbah sampah. Pengolahan sampah botol plastik melalui tiga proses yaitu, proses pencacahan, proses pendorongan dan proses pemanasan. Dalam implementasinya, mesin dilengkapi dengan sensor ultrasonik dan sensor suhu. Sensor ultrasonik berfungsi untuk melihat keberadaan atau kondisi pada wadah penampungan botol plastik, dimana sensor ini akan menjadi indikator bagi aktuator pencacah untuk bekerja. Sensor suhu untuk mengukur perubahan suhu selama proses daur ulang berjalan. Sensor akan dihubungkan pada Arduino Mega 2560 sebagai  kontroler pengolahan terhadap hasil pengukuran sensor. Sebagai penggerak (aktuator) pada sistem yang digunakan ialah Motor AC 1 HP dan Motor AC 1,5 HP yang terhubung ke PLC Omron CP1E melalui sebuah terminal. PLC digunakan sebagai kontroler yang mengatur dan mengerjakan seluruh proses daur ulang secara otomatis dengan menjalankan seluruh kerangka yang terdapat pada ladder diagram PLC. Adapun hasil akhir yang diperoleh adalah paving block.

Abstract

Multilayer plastic waste continues to increase due to the ever-growing consumption and needs of the global citizen and is one of the most challenging types of waste to recycling because of its nature. The accumulation and indiscriminate disposal of waste can pose a potential risk of environmental problems. A solution that can be implemented is to mix bitumen and waste polymer as asphalt manufacturing. Despite its advancement in research, many potential parameters are still to be discovered to achieve optimal results. Through cold plasma treatment, a surface treatment may occur at the multilayer polypropylene that causes the change from hydrophobic to hydrophilic properties. Treating the polymer with cold plasma will provide good hydrophilic properties without changing the overall chemical and thermal properties of the sample. This will result in an alternative aggregate for the bitumen for asphalt manufacturing. Bitumen coupled with the addition of plastic still provides an optimal hardness and ductility, meanwhile having a more economically viable manufacturing process than other processes.

Abstract

The technique of bones saw was used by many traders still uses the conventional method, namely with a butcher knife. To make cutting more efficient, bone saw machines are created which are widely marketed. However, the use of these tools is considered inefficient because during operation the meat attached to the bones will move into the machine through the cutting tool so that the motor work becomes heavy and even the cutting tools are prone to breaking, then the electrical power required is large enough to make traders use more conventional methods. This manufacturing technique aims to produce designs and working drawings of meat bone cutting machines and the components needed. Bone cutting machines are designed to be used by various groups of bone traders, market traders or home-based traders to increase production and use low electrical power. The machine was designed to be more efficient than the previous by modifying the cutting tool using a saw type, namely a chainsaw with a low electrical power of 550 Watt or equivalent to 0.75 HP and a blade speed of 2500 rpm. The machine was designed to use a spring to raise the machine automatically. The dimension of 800 mm × 700 mm × 1415 mm has double safety that is protected by a cover and a lever to provide distance between the machine and the operator.

Abstract

We propose a tracking system that can provide information from the truck coordinate analysis. Firstly, GSM will transmit the coordinates of the truck in real time via HTTP protocol to a website that has been hosted using shared hosting and displays a travel map on the Map Box API application. We also use MYSQL as a storage of truck coordinates. Reports will be generated after the truck arrives at the company. For system accuracy level, we set the delivery duration to the database every 10 seconds so that the generated path is closer to the original path. We compared our system with google maps to observe how accurate the system was built. The length difference of the track is 0.01 Km. The system also shows a very small deviation of starting point is 0.111322 meters and at the end point is 0.729938354 meters. While, the report contains truck ID, driver's identity, departure time, exact time, arrival time, distance, type of goods, quantity of goods, origin, destination, service, date, initial odometer, used odometer which later the results can be printed into a final report of truck usage.
