Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article entitled, “Evaluation to the Formulation of the Bill on Islamic Boarding School and Religious Education” focuses on the evaluation to the formation process and the material of the Bill on Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) and Religious Education. The instrument used is the Law of Regulation on Drafting the Law No. 12 of 2011 on Establishment of Laws and Regulations as well as the Ministerial Regulation from the State Minister for State Apparatus Reform No.: Per/04/M.PAN/4/2007 about General Guidance on Formulation, Implementation, Work Evaluation, and Revision of Public Policy in Central and Regional Government Institutions especially in relation with the principle of public policy formulation. This study finds that the Bill on Pesantren and Religious Education is elitist and has not fulfilled the requirement of policy formulation in democratic model. And the material of the Bill on Pesantren and Religious Education as an alternative policy has not fulfilled the principle of justice and diversity as decreed in the Regulation on Drafting the Law. The writer’s recommendation is that the proposed Bill on Pesantren and Religious Education as an alternative policy needs to be cancelled. KEYWORDS: public policy, pesantren (Islamic boarding school), religious education, policy evaluation

Abstract

ABSTRACT: "Am I my brother's guard?" This question becomes a reflection of individuals as social being who meet with other people every day in their differences. This question inspires the conscience of each person to take the right attitude when dealing with others. And the attitude referred to here is responsibility in the concept of levinas, which is different from everyday understanding. This thought was then tried to collide with diversity in Indonesia, especially the attitude of religious people when dealing with adherents of other religions. so that the moment of meeting with others truly becomes an ethical moment towards meeting, based on this attitude of responsibility. Based on library data, the author tries to describe the concept of levinas responsibility so that ultimately every difference can be seen as a gift and shared wealth. Through reflection on the unique concept of the responsibility of levinas, the authors put it as a foundation for the relations of religious life and Indonesian society, which often experience clashes due to pluralistic reasons. It is very appropriate, if Levinas's responsibilities are implied into the lives of our people because also the essence of Levinas's thinking actually has a strong foundation in our country's philosophy. KEYWORDS:  responsibility, plurality, religion, others, le visage, meeting

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Today, humans are always faced with the complexity of the acute world situation. This situation is nothing but an increasingly worsening environmental crisis. This emergency situation is inseparable from the increasingly exalted anthropocentric ego. The assumption that eliminates intrinsic value to other ecosystems and the wrong way of life leads to the separation of relations between humans and the surrounding reality. The interdependent context between all ecosystems is degraded due to the wrong attitude of life from humans. The loss of the relationship brought a variety of environmental damage which caused the destruction of human existence itself. Poverty, hunger, war, global warming, floods and drought are a few of the critical phenomena of nature. For these increasingly emergency natural phenomena, this thesis is written as a critical reflection for humans to re-examine their nature as religious, social and ecological creatures as well as concrete action that must be done to reconstruct relations (reconciliation) with nature, with the surrounding environment and especially reconciliation with his own life through ecological metanoia and a new lifestyle.  KEYWORDS: relation, antrophosentrism ego, ecological exigent, multidimensional perspective, awareness, reconciliation, repentance and new lifestyle.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The millennial geration are considered to have active characters and to master technical and individual controls. This competency is often not balanced with the individual's ability to care about the problems of national ideology. The ideology in this matter is Pancasila which is still seen as a product of the past, intimidative and even turning into techniques of mass degradation. First, the author raises the thoughts of George Ritzer and Roland Robertson who mentioned that the authenticity of globalization must be firmly grounded in globalization. Second, the writer used Gabriel Marcel's perspective which offers a different approach to the millennial generation that lives in the digital revolution, the presence as a collective action. The intended action is a social action in which individuals are willing to take part through their presence that involves feelings and openness to the issue of nationalism so that Pancasila can be experienced as an ideology that is rich in collective values and habitus. KEYWORDS: ideology, pancasila, the millennial generation, techniques of mass degradation, globalization, glocalization, digital revolution, presence, collective action nationalism, values, habits
