Abstract

Post Natal Care starts from the first 2 hours after the birth of the placenta until 6 weeks / 42 days after that. During the puerperium, the mother will experience physiological changes. Changes occur in the reproductive system. Changes in the reproductive system include breast (mamae), uterine involutio, discharge of lochia, changes in the endometrium, cervix, vulva and vagina, and in the perineum. Data shows that the number of post-partum mothers in 2015 was 589 (64%), in 2016 the number of post-partum mothers was 931 (65%), in 2017 there were 1,230 people (67%), in 2018 as many as 804 people. This case study aims to determine the success of breast care implementation on the success of maternal breastfeeding in Post Natal Care (PNC) patients. The design of this case study is to use a descriptive research design with the application of case studies with case study subjects using one patient according to predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data were obtained by direct assessment and interviews with patients and documents at the hospital. The results of the case study found that the application of breast care was effective in increasing the volume of milk produced. The hospital is expected to add and develop existing knowledge and improve the quality of health services, especially for the implementation of breast care for postpartum mothers with breast and breastfeeding problems.

Abstract

Aging reduces physical, psychological and social functioning. Cognitive impairment causes disabilities in daily functions and limits quality of life. In the elderly there is often a partial or total dependence on external assistance or care. The importance of a study to conduct a study on Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) on the Cognitive Aspects and the Level of Independence of the Elderly with a Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) measurement tool, in elderly people living in coastal areas who are part of the assisted blood of the nursing department. The type of research used is descriptive research, in August-December 2018 on the coast of Toronipa. The population in this study were all elderly who live in the Toronipa coastal area of ??Konawe Regency, an assessment instrument that functions to measure functional independence in self-care and mobility and is also used as a criterion in assessing functional ability for 10 minutes and assessing cognitive function in the areas of orientation, memory, attention and calculation, language construction and visuals. Patients score between 0 and 30 points, and cut-offs of 23/24 are usually used to indicate significant cognitive decline. Research result; Analysis on cognitive function: normal category 20 people (40.0%) while cognitive function disorders as many as 30 people (60.0%). The category of the independence level of the elderly, independent in carrying out daily activities as many as 48 people (96.0%), while those who experienced dependence amounted to 2 people (4.0%). The results of the analysis with the Chi Square test, the value of p = 0.510, meaning that the P value is greater than 0 , 05, so that there is no relationship between MCI from a cognitive aspect with the level of independence of the elderly in the coastal area of ??Toronipa.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease that usually affects the digestive tract with symptoms of fever that lasts more than one week, indigestion, and impaired consciousness (Lestari, 2016). Giving a warm compress in the axilla area has a good effect in reducing body temperature in children with fever because that area has large blood vessels. In Indonesia in 2013 the number of typhoid fever sufferers was 9,747 in hospitalized patients (Ministry of Health, 2013). Kendari City Hospital noted that there were 199 cases of typhoid in children in 2016, 234 cases in 2017, and 229 cases in 2018 (Medical Records and SIRS of Kendari City Hospital). Objective: To describe nursing care in children with typhoid fever in decreasing body temperature. Methods: In this study, researchers used a descriptive study, namely a case study. Results: Nursing diagnosis, namely hyperthermia associated with disease. After 3x24 hours of nursing care, the results obtained evaluation of temperature 37.0ºC, pulse 100 times / minute, breathing 20 times / minute, blood pressure 110/70 mmHg, and no increase in skin temperature. Bottom Line: a warm compress can treat an increase in body temperature.

Abstract

Lemiding (Stenochlaena Palustris) is one type of vegetable that grows on peatland, which is a type of fern or fern that is included in the kingdom of plantae and the pteridophyta division (ferns) which is commonly found in the forests of Kalimantan, especially West Kalimantan. Lemiding is one that is easy and fast to adapt to nature, so that it can grow anywhere such as on tree trunks, rotten wood or dry land, even though this local vegetable will flourish on peatlands because of the considerable water intensity facilitate breeding. In the region of West Kalimantan, Lemiding plants are usually consumed in two types, namely young lemiding (white) and old lemiding (red). Red lemiding is a green lemiding with a reddish color, while white lemiding is a green lemiding with a pale color. Lemiding in the people of Kalimantan is processed into vegetables or added as the main vegetable in the typical foods of West Kalimantan, namely spicy porridge. This study aims to determine the comparison of Fe levels in young and old Stenochlaena Palustris in the Kubu Raya Regency. The inspection methodology that will be used is using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Based on the results of the study obtained an average Fe content in young lemiding is 0.39 mg / L and old lemiding is 0.48 mg / L. Statistical test results obtained by computerized data processing throughtest Mann Whitney U obtained p value of 0.038, p <0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted which means that there are differences in Fe levels in young lemids and old lemiding.

Abstract

Maternal and child health is the third SDG target, which is to ensure a healthy life and promote welfare for all people of all ages. The class of pregnant women is part of the Maternal and Child Health Program that has been implemented since 2009. The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of the class of pregnant women on the knowledge and attitudes of early detection of high risk factors in the Lalowaru Health Center, Konawe Selatan Regency. The method in this study used a quasi-experimental. The treatment group was given intervention in the form of education using a pocket book for 6 months (starting from the second trimester of pregnancy to the third trimester of pregnancy). The control group did not receive education and pocket books. The research sample consisted of 40 respondents consisting of the intervention group of 20 people and the control group of 20 people. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon signed test. The results showed that education increased the knowledge of pregnant women about early detection of pregnancy (mean posttest in the intervention group: 92.69 ± 0.96 (p-value = 0.000)). Education improves the attitudes of pregnant women about early detection of pregnancy (mean posttest intervention: 96.36 ± 0.84 (p-value = 0.000)). Education increases ANC visits for pregnant women about early detection of pregnancy.
