Abstract

Effect of planting distance and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on growth and production of soybean (Glycine max L. Merill).   This study aims to determine and obtain the best spacing with liquid organic fertilizer concentration on the growth and production of soybean (Glycine max L. Merill). This research has been carried out on the land of Tanjung Raja village, North Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra Province. This research was conducted from May to August 2019. This study used a split-plot design field experiment. With 12 treatment combinations and repeated 3 times. The treatment factors are as follows: Plant Planting Distance (J) consists of: J1: 20 cm x 20 cm, J2: 40 cm x 20 cm, J3: 60 cm x 20 cm, The dose of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (O) consists of: O0 : Control (without poc), O1 : 20 ml/liter, O2 : 30 ml/liter, O3: 40 ml/liter. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of primary branches (stalk), number of pods planted, number of cipo pods (empty), yield per clump (g), weight of 100 seeds (g). Based on the results of the study, it was stated that the treatment with a spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm with a concentration of liquid organic fertilizer 40 ml/liter of water gave the highest yield of 49.13 plants or 9.83 tons/ha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of mulch and the type of organic fertilizer from livestock waste that have the best effect on the growth and production of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L). This study used an experimental method with a split plot design consisting of 9 combinations which were repeated 3 times so that 27 plots and 5 sample plants were obtained. The treatment in question is as follows: Factor I = Mulch Type (M) consisting of 3 replications: M0 = No Mulch, M1 = Jengkol Bark Mulch, M2 = Rice Husk Organic Mulch. Factor II = Types of Livestock Waste (K) consisting of 3 replications: K0 = without livestock waste fertilizer, K1 = Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer, K2 = Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), number of tubers per clump (tuber), tuber weight per clump (grams), tuber weight per plot (grams). The combination treatment between rice husk organic mulch and organic fertilizer from chicken manure gave the highest effect on the growth and production of shallots at 1.09 kg/plot or equivalent to 10.90 tons/ha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and obtain the best dose of organic fertilizer for chicken manure and NPK fertilizer for the growth of hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) plants. This research has been carried out in Purwosari Village, Tanjung Lago Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency. This research activity took place from May to August 2018. This study used factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 12 combinations, 3 replications, and 5 sample plants. The treatment is as follows: Organic Fertilizer Chicken Manure (O), O0 = 0 ton / ha, O1 = 5 tons / ha, O2 = 10 tons / ha, O3 = 15 tons / ha, NPK Fertilizer (A), A1 = 200 kg / ha, A2 = 300 kg / ha, A3 = 400 kg / ha. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf width (cm), root length (cm), plant dry weight (g). Based on the results of the analysis showed that the dose of organic fertilizer chicken manure had no significant effect on all the variables observed, the dose of NPK fertilizer had a very real effect on the leaf area variable, but had no significant effect on other variables. The conclusions that can be drawn from this study, the dose of organic manure of chicken manure 10 tons / ha and the dose of NPK fertilizer 300 kg / ha is the highest treatment for the growth of hybrid corn plants (Zea mays L.).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keefektifan asap cair sebagai pestisida organik dalam mengendalikan hama kutu daun (Myzus persicae) pada tanaman cabai. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret – Juni 2018. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan 4 kali ulangan. Dimana P1 = 0 hari sekali (tanpa aplikasi), P2 = Aplikasi asap cair 2 hari sekali, P3 = Aplikasi asap cair 4 hari sekali, P4 = Aplikasi asap cair 6 hari sekali, dan P5 = Aplikasi asap cair 8 hari sekali. Aplikasi asap cair dilakukan sesuai perlakuan dengan menggunakan handsprayer dengan konsentrasi 2%. Aplikasi asap cair dilakukan pada sore hari yaitu pukul 17.00 WIB. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa populasi hama kutu daun tertinggi pada perlakuan  0 hari sekali / tanpa aplikasi asap cair (P1) yaitu 8,67 ekor dan populasi terendah pada perlakuam aplikasi asap cair setiap 2 hari sekali (P2) yaitu 5,02 ekor, begitu juga pada tingkat serangannya yaitu tertinggi pada perlakuan P1 dan terendah pada perlakuan P2. Asap cair yang diaplikasikan dengan interval 2 hari sekali mampu menekan populasi dan serangan hama kutu daun pada tanaman cabai. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of liquid smoke as an organic pesticide in controlling aphids (Myzus persicae) on chili plants. This research was conducted in March – June 2018.  The study used the experimental method with 4 replications. Where P1 = 0 days (without application), P2 = liquid smoke application every 2 days, P3 = liquid smoke application every 4 days, P4 = liquid smoke application every 6 days, and P5 = liquid smoke application every 8 days. The application of liquid smoke was carried out according to the treatment using a handsprayer with a concentration of 2%. The application of liquid smoke is carried out in the afternoon at 17.00 WIB. The results showed that the highest population of aphids was in the treatment once every 0 days / without the application of liquid smoke (P1) which was 8.67 individuals and the lowest population was in the treatment of application of liquid smoke every 2 days (P2) which was 5.02 individuals, as well as at the attack level, which was the highest in treatment P1 and the lowest in treatment P2. Liquid smoke that is applied at intervals of 2 days is able to suppress the population and attack of aphids on chili plants.

Abstract

The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sjakhyakirti University, Palembang, taking place from July 2021 to September 2021 This study was designed using a Randomized Block Design (RAK), with four replications and six treatments. Each treatment was repeated four times (6 x 4) there were 24 experimental units and each experimental unit consisted of four corn plants, so there were 96 polybaq. The treatments consisted of: P0 = no herbicide (0 ml/liter), P1 = herbicide 10 ml/liter, P2 = herbicide 20 ml/liter, P3 = herbicide 30 ml/liter, P4 = herbicide 40 ml/liter, and P5 = herbicide 50 ml/liter. The variables observed were sweet corn plant height (cm), sweet corn weight (gr), percentage of weed mortality (%). Based on the results of the study, the administration of organic herbicides with P5 (50 ml/liter) gave the best results for all observed variables. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sjakhyakirti Palembang, berlangsung dari bulan Juli 2021 sampai dengan September 2021, Penelitian ini dirancang menggunakan  Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), dengan empat ulangan  dan enam perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak empat kali (6 x 4)  terdapat 24 unit percobaan dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari empat tanaman  jagung, sehingga terdapat  96 polybaq. Perlakuannya terdiri : P0 = tanpa  herbisida  ( 0 ml/liter),  P1 = herbisida  10 ml/liter, P2 = herbisida 20 ml/liter, P3 = herbisida 30 ml/liter, P4 = herbisida 40 ml/liter, dan P5 = herbisida 50 ml/liter. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pemberian herbisida organic perlakuan P5 (50 ml/liter ) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap semua feubah yang diamati.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, mempelajari dan mendapatkan komposisi media tanam  dan dosis pupuk NPK majemuk yang dapat  memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus L) asal sambung pucuk di polybag. Penelitian ini telah  dilaksanakan di kebun pembibitan tanaman buah buahan  milik petani penangkar tanaman buah buahan  yang terletak di desa Saka Tiga kecamatan Indralaya Utara Kabupaten Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan, Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai dari  bulan Desember 2020  sampai dengan  Maret  2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split-plot Design) dengan 12 kombinasi perlakuan, dengan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali, serta 4 tanaman contoh. Adapun Petak utama adalah komposisi media tanam (M)  :M0 = Tanah top soil, M1 = Tanah top soil : Kompos kotoran ayam (2: 1), M2 =  Tanah top soil : Kompos Kotoran ayam : Pasir (2:1:1) dan M3 =  Tanah Top soil : Kompos kotoran ayam : Sekam padi (2:1:1) . Anak petak adalah dosis pupuk NPK majemuk (D):D1=20 g/polybag, D2= 40 g/polybag dan D3= 60 g/polybag.Peubah pengamatan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: 1). Pertambahan tinggi tanaman (cm), 2). Pertambahan jumlah cabang primer/tanaman (cabang), 3). Pertambahan lilit batang/tanaman (cm), 4). Pertambahan jumlah akar primer/tanaman (akar) dan 5). Pertambahan panjang akar primer/tanaman (cm). Hasil analisis keragaman menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan komposisi media tanam dan pemberian  pupuk NPK majemuk berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap semua peubah yang diamati.  Akan tetapi untuk interaksi antar perlakuan hanya berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap peubah pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan jumlah akar primer dan  pertambahan panjang akar primer/tanaman. Sedangkan untuk peubah pertambahan jumlah cabang primer dan pertambahan jumlah lilit batang/tanaman tidak berpengaruh nyata. Kombinasi Penerapan komposisi media tanam:  2 bagian  tanah top soil + 1 bagian kompos kotoran ayam+1 bagian pasir  dan pemberian pupuk  NPK majemuk dengan dosis 60 g/tanaman memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan  bibit tanaman nangka asal sambung pucuk  di polybag.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang Etnobotani tanaman bermanfaat di Desa Manggaraya kecamatan Tanjung lago kabupaten Banyuasin Sumatera Selatan dilakukan pada bulan Mei - Juni 2021. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman, dan  bagian-bagian tanaman yang dimanfaatkan sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat di Desa Manggaraya.. Metode penelitian menggunakan survei eksploratif dengan metode kualitatif untuk menginventarisasai jenis-jenis tumbuhan serta pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat. Metode ini didukung dengan pendekatan RRA (Rapid Rural Apprasial), dengan teknik sampling menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Sampel responden sebanyak 25 orang adalah masyarakat yang dianggap paling tahu tentang pemanfaatan tanaman yang ada didesa Manggaraya. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di desa Manggaraya diperoleh 38 spesies dari 21 famili terdiri dari  tanaman pangan jenis tanaman serealea 3 spesies, umbi-umbian 3 spesies, tanaman hortikultura tanaman sayuran 6 spesies, tanaman buah-buahan 8 spesies, tanaman hias 9 spesies, tanaman rempah-rempah (obat) 5 spesies, jenis tanaman palma 4 spesies, dan jenis tanaman pohon 1 spesies, Bagian tanaman yang dimanfatkan daun, bunga, buah, biji, umbi, rimpang.Research on the ethnobotany of beneficial plants in Manggaraya Village, Tanjung Lago sub-district, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra was carried out in May - June 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of plants, and plant parts used according to the needs of the community in Manggaraya Village. The research method uses an exploratory survey with a qualitative method to make an inventory of plant species and their use by the community. This method is supported by the RRA (Rapid Rural Apprasial) approach, with a sampling technique using a purposive sampling technique. The data collected were analyzed descriptively. The sample of respondents as many as 25 people are people who are considered to know the most about the use of plants in the village of Manggaraya. The results of the research conducted in Manggaraya village obtained 38 species plants from 21 families consisting of 3 species of food crops, cereals, 3 species of tubers, 6 species of horticultural plants, 8 species of fruit plants, 9 species of ornamental plants, and 9 species of ornamental plants. spices (medicine) 5 species, palm plant species 4 species, and tree plant species 1 species, Plant parts utilized by leaves, flowers, fruit, seeds, tubers, rhizomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan frekuensi pemberian POC dari limbah air beras (air leri) yang tepat pada beberapa varietas semangka. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di lahan Jalan H.M. Aqil, KM 16, RT 49, RW 17, Kelurahan Sukajadi, Kecamatan Talang Kelapa, Kabupaten Banyuasi, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, waktu penelitian dari bulan September sampai November 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan petak terbagi (split plot design) dengan 3 ulangan sehingga didapatkan 36 petak. Adapun perlakuan yang dimaksud sebagai berikut : Petak utama yaitu Frekuensi pemberian POC air leri (F) terdiri dari F0 = tanpa pemberian POC air leri ; F1 = 4 hari sekali ; F2 =  6 hari sekali ; F3 = 8 hari sekali, sedangkan Anak petak yaitu varietas tanaman semangka (V) terdiri dari V1 = Bonita ; V2 = Maduri ; V3 = Winda. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah panjang tanaman (cm), jumlah cabang,), panjang buah (cm), diameter buah (cm), berat buah (kg). Berdasarkan hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara tabulasi kombinasi perlakuam frekuensi 6 hari sekali dengan varietas Maduri memberikan pengaruh tertinggi terhadap produksi semangka. Berat buah sebesar 2,93 kg/tanaman setara dengan 10,12 ton/ha.This study aims to determine the frequency of administration of POC from rice water waste (leri water) in several watermelon varieties. This research has been carried out on Jalan H.M. Aqil, KM 16, RT 49, RW 17, Sukajadi Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasi Regency, South Sumatra Province, the research time is from September to November 2020. This study uses an experimental method with a split plot design with 3 replicates so that 36 plots were obtained. The treatment referred to as follows: The main plot, namely the frequency of giving POC leri water (F) consisting of F0 = without giving POC leri water; F1 = once every 4 days; F2 = every 6 days; F3 = once every 8 days, while the subplots are watermelon plant varieties (V) consisting of V1 = Bonita ; V2 = Madurai ; V3 = Winda. The variables observed in this study were plant length (cm), number of branches, fruit length (cm), fruit diameter (cm), fruit weight (kg). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that tabulated the combination of treatment with a frequency of once every 6 days with the Maduri variety gave the highest effect on watermelon production. Fruit weight of 2.93 kg/plant is equivalent to 10.12 tons/ha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dan mendapatkan takaran pupuk kotoran ayam yang tepat terhadap produksi tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan petani di Desa Purwosari, Kecamatan Tanjung Lago, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Sumatera Selatan, pada bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Tunggal, dengan 7 perlakuan dan diulang 4 kali. Adapun perlakuannya sebagai berikut : Perlakuan takaran pupuk kotoran ayam (A) : A0 = kontrol (tanpa pupuk kotoran ayam) ; A1 = 5 ton/ha ; A2 = 10 ton/ha ; A3 = 15 ton/ha ; A4 = 20 ton/ha ; A5 = 25 ton/ha dan A6 = 30 ton/ha. Peubah yang diamati yaitu jumlah anakan, jumlah umbi perumpun dan berat umbi perumpun. Berdasarkan analisi keragaman menunjukkan bahwa perakuan takaran pupuk kotoran ayam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat umbi perumpun dan berpengaruh tidaknyata terhadap peubah lainnya. Pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam dengan takaran 30 ton/ha memberikan hasil terbaik pada tanaman bawang merah.This study aims to determine and obtain the right dose of chicken manure on the production of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.). This study used an experimental method with a Single Randomized Block Design (RAK), with 7 treatments and repeated 4 times. The treatments are as follows: Treatment of chicken manure (A) : A0 = control (without chicken manure) ; A1 = 5 ton/ha ; A2 = 10 tos/ha ; A3 = 15 ton/ha ; A4 = 20 ton/ha ; A5 = 25 ton/ha and A6 = 30 ton/ha. The observed variables were the number of tillers, the number of tubers in the cluster and the weight of the tubers in the cluster. Based on the analysis of diversity, it was shown that the measurement of the chicken manure fertilizer had a very significant effect on the weight of the tuber clumps and had no significant effect on other variables. The application of chicken manure at a dose of 30 ton/ha gave the best results on shallot plants.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mentukan takaran pupuk organik cair kulit pisang kepok dan takaran  NPK  majemuk  yang  terbaik terhadap produksi tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan milik pertani yang terletak Kelurahan Sukajadi Kecamatan Talang kelapa Kabupaten Banyuasin Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan April sampai Agustus 2020. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan petak terbagi (Split Plot Design) terdapat 2 perlakuan di ulang 3 kali dan 5 tanaman contoh. Perlakuannya terdiri dari petak utama : Pupuk Organik Cair Kulit Pisang Kepok (O) yaitu O1 = 100 ml/L, O2 = 150 ml/L, O3= 200 ml/L. Anak petak : Pupuk NPK Majemuk (P) yaitu P1 = 25%, P2 = 50%, P3 = 75%. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah umbi per rumpun (umbi), berat umbi per rumpun (g), berat umbi per petak (kg).  Secara tabulasi kombinasi pupuk organik cair  kulit pisang kepok  150 ml/L dengan pupuk NPK majemuk 75%  memberikan  hasil tertinggi  terhadap produksi tanaman bawang merah sebesar 1,13 kg/ petak setara dengan 11,30 ton/ha
