Abstract

The Klandasan Parking Building (GPK) is an 8-story parking built in Balikpapan that serves as vehicle parking and uses a conventional structure system (columns, beams, plates) where the highest beam is about 800 mm. To maximize the clearance of each story, an alternative structure system is planned by removing beams called flat slabs. The new plan is conducted by modifying the structure into a dual system which consists of an Intermediate Moment Resisting Frame, a flat plate with drop panels used to withstand gravitational loads on buildings and a Structural Wall System (SWS) installed to resist lateral loads such as earthquake and wind. Structure’s plan refers to SNI 03-2847-2013 and SNI 03-1726-2012 which are Indonesia’s concrete and earthquake codes respectively. In addition, PPURG 1987 is also used to determine loads for the building. The analysis result shows that the building could be changed from 8 to 9 stories using the same total height of 8 stories. The depth of plates and drop panels which are supported by interior and exterior columns are 250 mm and 100 mm respectively. Turning to the shear wall, a thickness of 350 mm can be used to resist lateral loads.

Abstract

Sampai saat ini teknik pengecoran logam masih sering dipakai oleh industri kecil maupun besar dalam pembuatan berbagai macam produk. Salah satu metode pengecoran yaitu cetakan pasir, dimana cetakan berupa pasir diberikan pengikat. Pasir silika memiliki mineral kuarsa dengan kadar SiO2 lebih dari 95% yang memiliki ketahanan terhadap temperatur tinggi. Tingginya biaya pembelian pasir baru dan banyaknya limbah pasir bekas pengecoran yang tidak dipakai mengharuskan adanya biaya pembuangan pasir bekas. Salah satu pengoptimalan biaya produksi dengan menggunakan kembali pasir bekas yang telah dicampurkan dengan pasir baru. Berdasarkan American Foundry Society (AFS), cetakan pasir harus memenuhi persyaratan sebelum dilakukan pengecoran dengan melakukan beberapa pengujian pada cetakan kering yaitu uji kadar abu / lost on ignation (LOI) dan uji kekuatan tarik pasir. Hasil penelitian pengujian kadar abu (LOI) terjadi kenaikan seiring dengan banyaknya penggunaan pasir bekas pada cetakan yaitu sebesar 0.18%, 0.79%, 1.99%, dan 2.16%. Peningkatan ini juga terjadi pada pengujian kekuatan tarik pasir yaitu sebesar 39.3 N/Cm2, 59.58 N/Cm2, 60.42 N/Cm2, dan 62.21 N/Cm2. Hal ini disebabkan karena penggunaan pasir bekas dari proses pengecoran yang telah tercampur oleh pengotor dari proses pengecoran sebelumnya. Kenaikan nilai kekuatan tarik pasir dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan distribusi ukuran butir pasir yang dikarenakan ukuran butir pasir berhubungan dengan kepadatan pasir pada cetakan pasir. Dengan melakukan pemanfaatan limbah pasir bekas dapat mengurangi biaya pengeluaran pembelian pasir yaitu sebesar 23.3% pada rasio penggunaan pasir baru dengan pasir bekas 30:70. Hal ini dapat mengurangi limbah pasir bekas (menurunkan jumlah pasir dibuang) dan juga menurunkan biaya pengeluaran pasir dalam industri pengecoran logam.

Abstract

 Today's traditional performing arts are starting to be pushed by modern cultural arts which are preferred by various groups. This is because the packaging of modern performing arts is more attractive when compared to traditional performing arts, so that especially young people, prefer modern cultural arts. Traditional performing arts are the legacy of our ancestors who have the values ​​of human life. In addition, the packaging for a traditional performance is also interesting to see and appreciate as a regional traditional art. The RRI Surakarta auditorium building was established in 1958 and is a facility that is still in use today. This building is one of the venues for performing arts in Surakarta and has undergone several renovations. Its current condition has decreased in quality in terms of function. The RRI Surakarta building is a cultural heritage building so that efforts to preserve its physical aspects must refer to RI Law Number 11 of 2010 concerning Cultural Heritage. The preservation of this building needs more attention for the government and RRI itself. This conservation effort should be realized in the implementation of spatial planning as mandated in Law no. 26 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning which explains that in spatial planning management must pay attention to various aspects, including cultural values ​​contained in historic areas. In a more micro scope, conservation efforts need to be made to buildings and the environment that are designated as cultural heritage, as mandated in Law no. 28 of 2002 concerning Buildings. This study will use a descriptive analytic method that uses a location image to determine the feasibility level. So that it will produce designs that are able to accommodate the needs of the modern era without neglecting its status as a cultural heritage.   Keywords: cultural heritage, redesign, auditorium, culture     Abstrak   Seni pertunjukan tradisional saat ini mulai terdesak oleh seni budaya modern yang lebih disukai oleh berbagai kalangan. Hal ini disebabkan kemasan seni pertunjukan modern lebih menarik jika dibandingkan dengan seni pertunjukan tradisional, sehingga sebagian masyarakat khususnya kaum muda lebih menyukai seni budaya modern. Seni pertunjukan tradisional merupakan peninggalan leluhur nenek moyang yang memiliki nilai-nilai kehidupan manusia. Selain itu, kemasan sebuah pertunjukan tradisional juga menarik untuk dilihat dan dihayati sebagai kesenian tradisional daerah. Gedung auditorium RRI Surakarta didirikan pada tahun 1958 dan merupakan fasilitas yang masih digunakan hingga sekarang. Gedung ini menjadi salah satu tempat pertunjukan kesenian yang ada di Surakarta dan telah mengalami beberapa kali renovasi namun kondisinya saat ini mengalami penurunan kualitas dari segi fungsi. Bangunan RRI Surakarta termasuk gedung cagar budaya sehingga upaya pelestarian aspek fisiknya harus mengacu pada UU RI Nomor 11 tahun 2010 tentang Cagar Budaya.  Kelestarian bangunan ini perlu mendapatkan perhatian lebih bagi pemerintah maupun pihak RRI sendiri. Upaya pelestarian ini sebaiknya diwujudkan dalam penyelenggaraan penataan ruang sebagaimana yang diamanatkan dalam UU No. 26 Tahun 2007 tentang Penataan Ruang yang menjelaskan bahwa dalam penyelenggaraan penataan ruang harus memperhatikan berbagai aspek, termasuk nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam kawasan bersejarah. Dalam lingkup yang lebih mikro, upaya pelestarian perlu dilakukan terhadap bangunan gedung dan lingkungan yang ditetapkan sebagai cagar budaya, sebagaimana yang diamanatkan dalam UU No. 28 Tahun 2002 tentang Bangunan Gedung. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik yang menggunakan gambar lokasi untuk kemudian diketahui tingkat kelayakannya. Sehingga akan dihasilkan hasil desain yang mampu meangakomodasi kebutuhan pada era modern saat ini tanpa mengabaikan statusnya sebagai cagar budaya.   Kata Kunci: cagar budaya, redesain, auditorium, budaya

Abstract

The era of globalization requires humans to continue to innovate in developing technology. The comfort factors of a room are largely determined by the location, characteristics and activities in it. Determination of the amount of power in the Air Conditioner is carried out based on the amount of cooling load obtained. The method used is data the collection of the outside temperature, the measurement of the area of the component to be calculated, and the heat transfer coefficient for the components used. The results show that the cooling load in the 104F lecture room of 21,133 Watt of equivalent to 72,109 BTU/h. While the cooling load in the 105F lecture room, the results are 13,444 W or equivalent to 45,873 BTU/h. From that finding, it can be concluded that the power of the Air Conditioner used in the two rooms has not covered the amount of existing cooling, because the 104F lecture room has three Air Conditioners whereas one Air Conditioner has a power of 2 PK or equivalent to ±18,000 BTU/h, and 105F have two Air Conditioners with the same power. So that the cooling load of the two rooms is greater than the power of the Air Conditioner used.

Abstract

In this paper, the combination of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) welding methods are used in a double V groove SS304 10 mm thick plate. Welding current variation of 110A SMAW/120A GTAW, 100A SMAW/130A GTAW, and 90A SMAW/140A GTAW was used to observe the effect of the welding current variation on the tensile strength and microstructure. Tensile test and metallography test were performed to observe the phenomenon. ImageJ software was used for microstructure analysis. The welding current variation resulted in higher tensile strength with the highest current on GTAW method, while a more dispersed and lathy ferrite structure was observed on the microstructure.

Abstract

This research uses shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) welding method combined with flux core art welding (FCAW) welding method using ASTM A36 10 mm steel material and using double V seam. Then the electrode used in this study is for SMAW E7018 welding. , while for FCAW E71T1 welding. The current variations used are SMAW 60A, 75A, 90A and FCAW 190A, 205A, 220A. The purpose of this research is to determine the optimal current that produces the highest tensile and impact strength and differences in microstructure in the weld metal area. From the results of this study, the highest tensile and impact strengths were at 90A SMAW and 220A FCAW with a tensile strength of 526.96 N/mm and an impact strength of 1.2044 J/mm2. Then the microstructure formed is Grain Boundry Ferrite (GBF), Pearlite (P), Arcicular Ferrite (AF), Ferrite (F). Where the percentage of SMAW weld metal is 72.1% Ferrite and 27.9% Pearlite, while in FCAW weld metal it is 75.63% Ferrite and 24.37% Pearlite.

Abstract

Currently, there is a significant decrease in both the quantity and quality of Green Open Space (RTH), which impacts reducing the quality of the urban environment. The destruction of the buffer zone in the form of green open space has reduced water absorption into the ground, thus impacting the occurrence of floods. This study aims to identify the infiltration capability of green open space affected by floods in Balikpapan City. The main variables used in this study are the distribution of green open spaces and the distribution of flood locations; the analytical method used in this study is the overlay. Based on the research results, results can see that the flood-affected Public Green Open Space has an area of 477.1506 hectares. The number of Public Green Open Spaces affected by flooding is 65 units, with the type of Public Open Space covering urban forests, median road bodies, cemeteries, tourism/sports green open spaces, river borders, and city parks.

Abstract

The application of magnetic levitation that is currently developing is on land transportation in the form of maglev trains.Magnetic levitation is a system that uses an electromagnetic field to work against the force of gravity. The common point in application the magnetic levitation is used is the lack of contact and thus no friction this increases efficiency and system life. Magnetic levitation technology is still developing today. The magnetic levitation ball requires a good control method to maintain the ball's position on the mat against the earth's surface. This research implements Hybrid Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control with fuzzy as a control system on magnetic levitation ball. The research for magnetic levitation ball uses Auto Tuning PID and Fuzzy–Takagi Sugeno controls. In the PID system, an auto-tuning system is carried out on simulink MATLAB R2019, and in fuzzy the function is designed to store input in the form of error (e) and delta error (de) while the function displays output in the form of effective height distance. Then defuzzification on fuzzy uses the Center of Area (COA) method. In magnetic levitation research, objects can experience ideal service conditions at a distance of 0.006 m from the end of the solenoid. in the transfer function test to reach a steady state, the risetime is 0.007817 s, the overshoot is 157.051%. then the PID tuning test to reach a steady state obtained a risetime of 0.214371 s, an overshoot of 0.460%. and in the fuzzy-PID hybrid test to reach steady state, the risetime is 0.044902 s and the overshoot is -0.357%.

Abstract

Fault in the power system can pose a hazard not only to the equipment but also to the people working near it. Disturbances that can arise range from a short circuit that causes a spark, to a short circuit that can cause an arc flash. The arc hazard level can be estimated to determine the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that must be used by humans when working in electrified areas. In addition to the PPE level, arc current values can also be used to determine the safe distance between equipment and people. This research collects data on a distribution system of 65 buses which are the main distributors near the load, so their reliability must be high. System protection uses over current relay (OCR) and ground fault relay (GFR) to protect the system from 3-phase and 1-phase short circuit fault. The simulation results show that OCR and GFR can protect the system from short circuit disturbances that are close to the relay location. The higher the proximity to the source, the higher the PPE level and the safe distance between humans and electrical equipment.

Abstract

The role of green open space in urban areas is very important to reduce the saturation of urban communities. In addition to ecological functions, green open spaces are also important for the community to carry out socio-cultural, aesthetic, and economic interactions. Therefore, the government stipulates by law that each city must set aside 30% of its area for green open space (RTH) in its regional plans. Mojokerto has changed its function from year to year, such as agricultural land, which has changed its designation into residential areas, buildings, and industrial areas, as well as roads. In order to prevent uncontrolled land use change and a lack of attention to green open space in the future, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of land requirements in the Green Open Space (RTH) area in the Mojokerto region.
