Abstract

Stunting is when a person's height is less than average based on age and gender. This study aims to determine the strategy of the Nagan Raya Health Office in reducing stunting rates. This type of research used qualitative research. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants were the Head of the Health Service, Head of Public Health, Head of Family Health and Nutrition, Head of Promotion and Community Empowerment, Head of Environmental Health, Occupational Health, and Sports. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data management, and concluding. The results showed that the Nagan Raya health department's strategy for reducing stunting rates was quite good. With eight integrated stunting reduction interventions, specific nutrition interventions, and sensitive nutrition interventions collaborated with cross-sectoral involvement. In conclusion, from 8 integrated stunting reduction interventions, the basis is stunting consultation. The obstacles are that it is difficult to use the budget for stunting, uniting stakeholders' perceptions, and the village government lacks knowledge. Supporting resources are sufficient, namely human resources (HR), facilities, and infrastructure, but it is still insufficient in terms of the budget. Suggestions that socialization is given to the village government. It is hoped that the Health Service and government organizations involved will remain consistent and unite their perceptions and maximize their budget.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the essential nutritional problems experienced by toddlers globally, especially in developing countries, including Indonesia. The impact of Stunting is not only in terms of health but also affects the level of intelligence of children. This study aims to find a keumamah product formulation that can be useful for supplementary feeding to prevent Stunting. The research design of this study is the Intact-Group Comparison model with two variables; (1) the experimental group and (2) the control group. To find the result, this research involves two types of test; pre-test and post-test. The pre-test is conducted before the experiment, while the post-test is performed after investigating both sample groups. The content of macronutrients, such as protein, fat, and carbohydrates, is higher in keumamah (Wooden fish), made from fresh fish with an oven drying process. The Keumamah made from fresh fish with the drying method using an oven is also more hygienic than those made from less fresh fish with the traditional drying process (Sun-drying). Keumamah dried in an oven is better than Keumamah dried with the conventional drying process (Sun-drying).

Abstract

A Knowledge factor, allergy history, and environment strongly influence the incidence of Dermatitis, followed by allergy history factors. From the survey results, the problem in this study is the high cases of Dermatitis in the community, which reached 623 points. This study aims to examine the impact of Knowledge, history of allergies, and the environment on the incidence of Dermatitis in the working area of Alue Rambot health center, Darul Makmur District Nagan Raya district. The research method used in this research is analytic with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in January 2022, The population in this study is people who suffer from Dermatitis in the working area of the Alue Rambot Health Center, as many as 623 sufferers, the sample in this study was taken based on the Slovin formula with an error rate (0.1), where a sample of 86 respondents was obtained with criteria who were willing to be interviewed and were in the working area of the Puskesmas.  Processing data using statistical tests, namely univariate and bivariate analysis, then tested using the Chi-Square test. The study results stated that after being analyzed, it turned out that there was an impact of Knowledge, history of allergies, and the environment affected the incidence of Dermatitis as evidenced by the value (P-value 0.05) with the Prevalence Ratio (7.302, 3.062, and 2.460). The conclusion turns out that the lack of public knowledge about the causes of Dermatitis, the presence of a previous history of allergies, and the environment regarding poor personal Hygiene has a significant influence on the incidence of Dermatitis. Local government advice directly implement socialization about Dermatitis by increasing Knowledge, breaking the chain of causes of allergy recurrence, and improving the cleanliness of the surrounding environment for the formation of work areas whose communities are dermatitis-free.

Abstract

Providers and organizers of health care in the city are health professionals. The number of health workers needed in Samarinda has not yet been determined according to WHO guidelines, which is a ratio that compares the number of health workers to the population. The method used in this study is a descriptive-analytical non-experimental design (cross-sectional). Following the study's goals, research participants used secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency's report for Samarinda City in 2018/2019 in the form of social and population data.  Results: The number of doctors in Samarinda did not meet the WHO minimum requirements for the ratio of doctors to population of 1:2,500, with a ratio of 1:10,249 in the Samarinda Seberang district. The number of nurses is identical, but the standard ratio of 1:855 cannot be met; six sub-districts fail to meet the ratio, Sungai Pinang is the most effective sub-district in terms of achieving the nurse-to-population ratio. Apart from Samarinda Ulu and Samarinda Kota, the distribution of pharmacists has caught the attention of almost all districts in the city of Samarinda, a total of eight districts. Even one pharmacy in the Sungai Pinang district must serve 54,386 people.. Conclusion: The distribution of health workers in Samarinda is not equally distributed, owing primarily to external issues.

Abstract

A work accident is an unexpected event or event that can cause harm to the work process, causing human and property casualties. Therefore prevention must be carried out by reducing hazard factors that lead to accidents, taking into account unsafe action, unsafe conditions, and safety management: system, the worker's mental condition, and the worker's physical condition. The method in this research is descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional design. We took a sample of 45 respondents. The sampling technique is the total population. We performed a logistic regression test using the Stata 14 application in this study. Results study could concluded there is a significant relationship between the use of PPE ( P-value = 0.001 , OR = 14.14, CI = 2.86 – 60.21 ) and unsafe acts (P-value = 0.015, OR = 5.5, CI = 1.39 – 21.71) with work accidents in the District Johan the Hero of West Aceh Regency in 2022.  We suggest that welding workshop owners provide protective equipment for their workers to create comfort, work safety, and reduce potential hazards while working. We also recommend using n methods to increase self-confidence so that you can focus and be careful when welding.

Abstract

Basic Home Sanitation is an effort to make the house and its environment healthy. Houses with poor sanitation will facilitate the spread of infectious diseases, especially respiratory and digestive tract diseases. This study aims to assess the effect of a Mother's Knowledge about the Importance of Basic Household Sanitation on sanitation practices. The research method is a qualitative and quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. Sampling used the purposive sampling method and obtained 57 samples, namely homemakers. Data was collected using questionnaires and in-depth interviews by visiting residents' homes. Statistical analysis results show that waste management significantly affects maternal sanitation practices. While the qualitative results using NVIVO show that the people of Babul Makmur Village have a habit of managing waste by collecting waste in open trash cans. Some respondents immediately burned the garbage collected in their yards. Some throw garbage directly into the vacant land and burn it if the debris accumulates in large quantities. All wastewater generated from household activities and public bathing is discharged through sewers, leading to surrounding water bodies. we conclude that there is a need for community-based total sanitation socialization

Abstract

Stunting has still been a primary target of the worldwide health agenda—external determinants such as economic, demographic, and environmental factors are the major causes. From now on, both external and internal factors are referred to as "nutritional ecologies". This research aims to examine the nutritional ecologies of stunting in a village-based tourist destination, namely Sigerongan Village of West Lombok, through several steps – (1) identifying factors leading to stunting in the village, (2) formulating the primary drive of the prevalence of stunting, (3) developing a model of free-stunting village-based tourism, and (4) proposing social and cultural interventions to tackle the stunting issue. This longitudinal study employs several methods, especially prototypical research and reflective analysis. The data analyses were chi-square and fisher test exact test to examine the relationships among variables. The intervention model is generated and named "Dewi Santi," which is the acronym for "Desa Wisata Tahan Stunting" or "Stunting-Free Village-based Tourism" model. The complex nature of stunting requires an ecological approach that includes nutritional ecologies so that it is translatable into practice and can be rooted in a particular culture whereby the prevalence is high. However, this study's limitation lies in its design, which was only tried to examine the nutritional problem, and research design can be broadened and varied for future studies.

Abstract

The PROLANIS program is a health program initiated by BPJS Kesehatan to prevent diabetes mellitus and hypertension complications. According to Riskesdas data, in 2018, there were 1,017,290 people with diabetes mellitus and 658,201 people with hypertension in Indonesia. This research method is qualitative, and the data collection technique uses in-depth interviews with five types of informants and secondary data observations, namely the coverage of active participants and the number of primary health care employees. There are five types of informants: the head of the primary health care, the doctor in charge, the PROLANIS officer at the primary health care, the BPJS Kesehatan officer, and the PROLANIS participant. The target number of PROLANIS controlled before the pandemic was not achieved. The COVID-19 pandemic conditions increasingly made the target number of PROLANIS participants increasingly unattainable because several PROLANIS activities involved not being implemented. Participants fostered in clubs are limited and selected according to the participants' commitment to participating in PROLANIS activities. Primary health care is expected to carry out innovations so that PROLANIS activities can be carried out in other forms that reduce but still control the health status of the trained participants

Abstract

Mangroves are ecosystems in coastal areas that economically have excellent benefits derived from wood, seeds, and fruit. The most frequently used mangrove fruit as a food source is Sonneratia alba fruit, and Sonneratia alba fruit can be used to produce mangrove syrup. This study aimed to determine the effect of sugar on the organoleptic properties of Mangrove syrup from Sonneratia alba fruit. The organoleptic test method used a hedonic test (preference test) using a rating scale of 1 (dislike very much), 2 (dislikes), 3 (neutral), 4 (likes), and 5 (preferences very much). The treatment P3 (Sonneratia alba 60%: Sugar 40%) was the most highly rated in the quality of taste, color, and aroma, while the most ordered texture quality by the panelists was treatment P2 (Sonneratia alba 40%: sugar 60%).
