Abstract

The current healthcare facilities are unable to meet the demand of the population particularly in cancer treatment, which is one of the major issues in Indonesia and worldwide. Radiotherapy is one of the primary methods for treating cancer, but there are only 10 Regional Cancer Referral Hospitals with radiotherapy facilities in Indonesia, including XYZ Hospital in DKI Jakarta. Currently, XYZ Hospital has only one radiotherapy machine, the Linear Accelerator (LINAC), which is operating beyond its maximum capacity. This poses a risk of damaging the machine and prolonging patient queues. To address this issue, there is a need for the development of a Radiotherapy Installation. Feasibility studies have been conducted to assess the market, technical, and financial aspects of this development. Market studies indicate an increase in the number of radiotherapy patient visits until 2028. From a technical perspective, the development involves a two-story installation with an area of 1528 m2. It requires a workforce of 13 individuals working from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:00. However, from a financial perspective, an investment of Rp. 89.297.627.910 is required for the development. Financial studies show that the project has a Net Present Value (NPV) of –Rp. 31.539.067.503, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of -13,93%, and a Payback Period (PBP) of 6.7 years. Therefore, based on the feasibility study, the development of the XYZ Hospital Radiotherapy Installation is not recommended due to financial infeasibility. To make this development feasible, scenarios such as government subsidy increases, raising radiotherapy rates, and attracting more patients until the maximum capacity is met should be considered.Keywords – Feasibility, NPV, IRR, PBP, Radiotherapy.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy is a basic need that cannot be eliminated in the daily lives. With the increase in population, the need for electrical energy increases every year. Non-renewable energy has many examples, such as coal, oil, gas and so on. Wind energy is an alternative energy whose availability in nature. To convert wind energy into electrical energy, a Wind Power Plant is needed. In the conversion process using a generator. A generator that can be used is the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator 24 Slot 16 Pole (PMSG) which can produce magnetic flux and is suitable for use because with low rotation it can produce good efficiency to overcome areas with low wind speeds in Indonesia. To design and test through simulation with infolytica Magnet software based on the Finite Element Method. To increase efficiency in PMSG, this research analyze the effect of coil wire and the number of coils with coil wire diameters of 4 mm2, 6 mm2 and 8 mm2. For the number of coils starting from 25, 30 and 35 coils using a speed of 500 rpm and a load of 10 Ohms equalize all variations. Where the highest efficiency is 88.2%, the output power is 1609.4 Watt, the input power is 1842.0 Watts, the current is 12.49 Amperes and the voltage is 124.9 Volts, obtained on a wire area of 8 mm2 and a number 35 turns with an efficiency of 87.1%.Keywords - PLTB, Lilitan, Generator, Efficiency, Energy

Abstract

Equine Influenza (EI) is a highly contagious respiratory infection disease in equidae caused by two subtypes of Influenza A Virus (H7N7 and H3N8). Indonesia is recently importing high amounts of horses from The Netherlands intended for equestrian sports, pets, and breeders. This study was aimed to discover the presence of Equine Influenza Virus (EIV) and antibody titres against EIV in imported horses from the Netherlands using Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) techniques. The results obtained were then compared to imported horses’ data. A total of 199 nasopharyngeal swabs and 55 blood samples were collected. The results showed no material genetic of EIV was found in horses imported from the Netherlands, not all recently imported horses had antibodies against EIV, it’s indicated that the imported horses need to be measured the antibody post vaccination before arrived in Indonesia.Keywords - Horse, Equine Influenza, The Netherlands, PCR, ELISA

Abstract

The increasing population growth every year results in many problems, the problem that arises is the increasing amount of waste in the form of human feces that is thrown into septic tanks. Large amounts of human feces can be found, such as in Islamic boarding schools with the number of students continuing to increase, causing the amount of feces to also continue to increase. The problem of human feces can be overcome by utilizing feces into biogas. Utilizing biogas is a solution to replace fossil fuels and also prevents human waste from polluting the environment. The aim of the research is to find out the potential amount of student feces, find out the biogas produced using the anaerobic method, find out the results of converting biogas to LPG fuel and electrical energy and compare the costs of the energy conversion process so as to save the operational costs of the Islamic boarding school. The amount of feces produced from 59 people was 14.75 kg/day with the biogas obtained being 0.068 m3/day, the conversion of biogas to LPG fuel as much as 0.03128 kg/day, the electrical energy produced was 223,892 kJ/day, the result of converting biogas to electrical energy is 0.06224 kWh/day, the cost of saving gas fuel is IDR. 33,456 and the cost of saving electrical energy is Rp. 2,524. So the result of using biogas from human feces is that the greatest energy obtained is electrical energy, while the greatest savings are gas fuel.Keywords - Human Feces, Gas Fuel, Electrical Energy, Biogas, Anaerobic Methods.

Abstract

In 2022, the University Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) was in the second phase of expansion, focusing on increasing the influx of new students. Each year, UAI allocated funds to execute diverse promotional strategies. However, the effectiveness of the undertaken promotional measures is deemed suboptimal, as the student admissions continue to exhibit fluctuations. To address this issue, researchers have employed the data mining method utilizing the K-Means Clustering algorithm. This study adopts both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Following the data cleaning stage, the initial sample size of 4,342 students is reduced to 2,650. The K-Means Clustering analysis identifies three clusters: the main cluster, minimum cluster, and adaptive cluster. Based on the characteristic data within the first cluster, it is recommended that UAI prioritizes promotional efforts towards students from private high schools in the Jabodetabek area. Additionally, the marketing communication mix, including brochures, banners, printed media, television, and radio, needs to be reassessed. In executing promotional strategies, UAI is advised to carefully consider the unique characteristics of each cluster and to maximize the utilization of social media and websites by incorporating elements of the 7C Framework.Keywords - K-Means, Clustering, Promotion Strategy

Abstract

Plastic to Solar (PLATOS) machine is a machine that processes plastic waste or used oil into fuel through a pyrolysis process. Based on observations made, pure diesel produced by the PLATOS machine has a very cloudy color or brownish black. Therefore, to get clearer fluid, a purification process is needed, one of which is by using bentonite powder. Bentonite powder used is Bleaching Earth Bentonite which can bind or absorb dirt and unwanted materials in oil or diesel, so that oil or diesel becomes paler and clearer. The heating method is used in the purification trial using a blow torch fire flame gun and an aluminum pan as a diesel fuel container. This study aims to observe the extent of the effect of using bentonite to improve the quality of diesel fuel that has been produced. The research was conducted by conducting 4 times the purification process with the same amount of bentonite and diesel weight of 20 grams and 1 liter. Based on the experiments that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the diesel produced has specifications that are within the limits of diesel specifications set by the Director General of Oil and Gas. Overall, the results of these specifications can state that the use of bentonite powder with heating methods up to 100o C can improve the quality of diesel fuel well.Keywords – Bentonite, Purification Process, Pyrolysis, Solar.

Abstract

Eggshells are part of urban wastes. The nutrition content in eggshells is 94% calcium carbonate, 1% potassium phosphate, and 1% magnesium carbonate. One alternative to overcome this waste is to utilize it as eggshell flour. This study aims to determine the acceptability, analyse the nutritional content, and assess the contribution of nutrients to the Reference Nutrition Label (ALG) of onion chips substituted with eggshell flour as an alternative food source of calcium. This type of research is experimental with a completely randomized design. The eggshell flour used was commercial and non-commercial eggshell flour with a total of eight (8) formulas. Panelists were 30 students of University Al-Azhar Indonesia with two replicates. The results of the organoleptic test (hedonic and hedonic quality) were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test, with the Mann-Whitney further test at a real level of 5%. The results showed that the A1B1 formula with the addition of eggshell flour as much as 10% and the use of commercial eggshell flour as the selected formula based on the Exponential Comparison Method (MPE). The results of the analysis of the nutritional content of the selected formula per 100 grams are energy 505 kcal, protein 9 grams, fat 31,5 grams, carbohydrates 46 grams, water content 4,3 grams, ash content 9,5 grams, and calcium 414,8 mg. Abstract

The FSO communication system is a communication system that uses the atmosphere as a propagation medium for light, which is used as an optical source to transmit data to the receiver. Due to using the atmosphere as a propagation medium causes the FSO communication system to be susceptible to signal weakening caused by varying atmospheric attenuation. So, it is necessary to conduct research on FSO performance based on atmospheric conditions. This research carried out communication design using FSO technology in Pekanbaru City, analyzing the influence of rainy weather and wind data using FSO MIMO. After analyzing and optimizing the parameters contained in the FSO device to achieve the best FSO performance. The design simulation was carried out using optisystem software for Free Space Optics (FSO) analysis using the FSO MIMO technique in rainy and windy weather in Pekanbaru City. One of the impacts of using the atmosphere as a propagation medium is large attenuation. The variables analyzed by the researchers were the rain variable and the wind variable. If the laser uses power up to 10 mW at a frequency wave of 1550 nm. The simulation results of the four-channel FSO MIMO system are able to provide a maximum beam distance of up to 2 km in rainfall conditions and 8 km in windy conditions. This value was obtained through analysis of the BER and Q-Factor values in the simulation results.Keywords - FSO-MIMO, BER, Optisystem

Abstract

There are several agencies that have not utilized information technology as a medium to increase productivity and learning for human resources. One of them is at PT. PLN (Persero) UIP JBB – UPP JBB 1 Lontar there are obstacles in collecting constraints that arise in the construction sector. The collection of obstacles is still done manually using spreadsheets, and sometimes HR is confused about which obstacles should be discussed at weekly meetings, and the distribution of information related to obstacles is not yet comprehensive to every employee. One solution in processing and providing information systems is in the form of a website. Based on these problems, this research uses a Knowledge Management System (KMS) to collect, store, process and disseminate knowledge so that the information obtained is more accurate and efficient. Assisted by the Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization (SECI) model which can be used in building an application is the basis for creating knowledge and transferring theory. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that KMS can be applied as an information system to manage any obstacle data that arises in the construction sector at UPP JBB 1 Lontar. There are features required on a website based on the SECI model, including a column for proposing follow-up on constraints, a constraint data document, and an urgent risk column in the Externalization process, a menu feature for downloading constraint data in the Combination process, as well as a constraint and proposal data feature in the Internalization process.Keywords – Knowledge Management System (KMS), SECI Model, Use Case Diagram, Website
