Abstract

Swamp buffalo in South Kalimantan is a potential commodity in terms of providing meat because its ability to digest crude fiber is better than cattle with low quality feed conditions, and has the ability to reproduce over a wide range from wet areas to relatively dry areas. The study was conducted in the North Hulu Sungai regency of South Kalimantan with the aim of studying the potential of swamp buffalo maintenance areas, assessing the constraints and impacts of swamp buffalo development efforts, determining the logic of the relationship between the problem of swamp buffalo development, compiling a Logical Framework Approach for problem solving (solution) the development of swamp buffalo, making the right strategy for the development of swamp buffaloes that involve the participation of farmers, the private sector, banks, local governments, and higher education institutions on an ongoing basis. Research design with descriptive and participatory methods with LQ analysis techniques, analysis of regional potential, and Logical Framework Analysis (LFA). The results show that swamp agroecological zones are very beneficial for swamp buffalo cultivation, the strategic role of meat producers, labor, sources of income, advocates of sources of animal protein, sources of seeds, tourist attraction, and development of local wisdom. Comparing between the LQ value of 2.327 and the value of livestock density, the HSU District is the base for developing swamp buffalo cattle. The strategy model of swamp buffalo development in HSU District is to increase the use of appropriate technology, promotion through typical Kal-Sel swamp buffalo tourism events, improve: the role of skilled communities, the role of extension agents and the government, increase capital and cooperative relations between business actors, locations cultivation close to transportation routes, regulating land use, and improving institutional performance

Abstract

This study aims to (i) know the optimal benefits of tofu and tempeh making business with limited resources, (ii) conduct sensitivity analysis on the optimal conditions of the benefits of tofu and tempeh business. This research was conducted in Murung Kupang Village, Babirik District, North Hulu Sungai Regency. The method of collecting data uses a case study by interviewing Pak Sarwani to obtain the necessary data. The point of optimal home industry and tofu solutions occurs at coordinates {(29.66), (357.47)}, this means that optimal benefits occur when production of tofu (X1) is 29.66 prints of tofu and (X2) of 357, 47 tempe cut each time the product. While the optimal amount of profit obtained is USD 1357,941 per one production in one day. Maximum and minimum limit for optimization of tempe and tempeh tofu industry. The maximum profit margin exits between 43,819 to 27,200 and the minimum margin of profit margin between 70,317 to 43,819, while the maximum limit of profit margin for tempe that has not been used is between 911,222 to 567,850, the minimum tempe profit margin between 1,468 to 911,222, and the translation value constraint function shadow 1 (soybeans) it appears that if the resource (right value) exceeds the 10% constraint function, ie from 102 663 933.33 to the optimal value of Rp 161,261, increasing from Rp 1,357,941 to Rp 1,519,202

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efficiency level of each marketing channel of alabio duck and salted eggs in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The research activity was carried out in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, in August-October 2013. The method used is survey method and interview with deliberately chosen location (purposive sampling). The efficiency analysis method uses the formula of Technical Efficiency Index and Economic Efficiency Index. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained technically and economically marketing efficiency was in channel III for the purpose of Palangkaraya and channel III for Simpang. Technically and economically marketing efficiency in marketing salted eggs is IET II channel <IEE which is 2.92 <3.8

Abstract

Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is one type of wood mushroom that is used as a vegetable and processed food. In the cultivation of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus), seeds are a determining factor. This study aims to obtain the best media composition in the growth of oyster mushroom F2 seedlings (Pleurotus ostreatus). The research conducted at the Amuntai STIPER Laboratory from April to June 2013, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 5 treatments and 4 replications. As a treatment, the composition of media (K) is (k1) 80% corn: 18% sawdust: 1% CaCO3: 1% CaSO4, (k2) 70% corn: 28% sawdust: 1% CaCO3: 1% CaSO4, ( k3) 60% corn: 38% sawdust: 1% CaCO3: 1% CaSO4, (k4) 50% corn: 48% sawdust: 1% CaCO3: 1% CaSO4, (k5) 40% corn: 58% sawdust : 1% CaCO3: 1% CaSO4. Observation data were analyzed by variance and DMRT follow-up at 5% level. The parameters observed were the growth of mycelium horizontally and vertically. The results showed that media composition (k2) 70% corn: 28% sawdust: 1% CaCO3: 1% CaSO4 gave the best results for F2 seedling growth

Abstract

The decline in sweet corn production needs to be done to increase production through the use of dry land, both those that have become agricultural land and those that have not been used. In the business of using dry land it is often found that problems such as productivity decline rapidly, low soil fertility and many types of weeds. Especially wide, narrow weed leaves and woody shrubs. Experiment using Split Plot Design. The main plot is the dose of glyphosate consists of 3 levels, namely g1= 1,5 l/ha, g2 = 2 l/ha, dan g3 = 2,5 l/ha. The subplot is a 2,4-D dose consisting of 3 levels, namely d1 = 0,5 l/ha, d2 = 1 l/ha, d3= 1,5 l/ha. The use of a herbicide mixture of glyphosate and 2,4-D was able to shift the weed composition with a value of C of 68.75% at 2 days before harvest. Glyphosate herbicide dose of 1.5 l/ha was able to produce plant growth rates of 2.23607813 g cm-2 days-1, and the weight of the selling cob was 129,408 g
