Abstract

The aim of this study is to understand the effect of company's fundamental factors and BI rate on systematic risk (beta) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). In portfolio theory, there are two types of risk, namely systematic risk and non-systematic risk. The focus of this study is on systematic risk which was measured through beta (β), where each stock had a different beta. The analyses used independent variables of sales growth (SG), net profit margin (NPM), debt to equity ratio (DER) and BI rate (benchmark interest rate) on stock beta. The data used were quarterly data of issuers listedin the LQ-45 index in the period of 2009-2016 which were analysed using panel data regression method. The conclusion from panel data analysis of LQ-45 index is that SG, NPM and DER contribute a significant impact on systematic risk, but the macroeconomic proxy, namelyBI rate, does not offer significant influence on stock beta (β).Implication: corporate fundamental factors such as sales growth, net profit margin and solvency has effect significantly on beta (β), however BI rate does not.

To identify the factors that influence the brand image of online store, empirical study was conducted to analyze the direct influence of electronic customer satisfaction, electronic word of mouth toward the brand image of online store, and to analyze the indirect effect of electronic customer satisfaction toward the brand image of online store through electronic word of mouth. Data were collected from 200 online store consumers and analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling method. From the results of processing data to test the proposed hypothesis, it is known that to improve the brand image of online stores, the online store manager should focus on how to boost the number of consumers who will provide reviews about online stores or push electronic word of mouth.

Abstract

This study aims at determining strategic role groups related to the management of agro-science technopark site based on external conditions (opportunities and threats) and internal condition (strengths and weaknesses). Data were collected through observation and focus group discussion. Data analysis in this study employs SWOT analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). SWOT analysis uses internal and competitiveness factors to reveal that the strategic position of the management is within the first quadrant (Strengths-Opportunities strategy) with the coordinate points of 0.76 and 2.52. Paired comparative evaluation with AHP reveals that the global priority value from strategic role groups is: PS1 (0.419) local government’s role, stakeholders, and institutional management; PS2 (0.239) research institutions’ role, research and development; PS3 (0.210) community and business world’s role; PS5 (0.136) regional condition and availability of raw materials’ role; and PS4 (0.131) institutional role and marketing system.

Abstract

In order to encourage credit growth that experienced sluggishness from 2012 to 2016, Bank Indonesia sought to increase lending by lowering the benchmark interest rate so that it could be followed by a decline in lending rates by banks in Indonesia. But this is thought to cause competition to become a low oligopoly and decrease efficiency. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the amount of credits paid, estimating the market power and efficiency of commercial banks in Indonesia for the 2012-2016 period. Efficiency method used is Data Envelopment Analysis, while to estimate market power using two stage least square. The results of the demand equation show GDP and WCCR_GDP have no significant effect while the rest variables have significant effect. From the two equations using Bresnahan-Lau’s model, market power is 0.231. Efficiency measurement obtained a good efficiency scale even reaching 100% in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out how the effect of financial performance is proxied by ROA and ROE on the firm value which is proxied by Tobin's Q with CSR that is proxied by cost allocation as moderating the plantation sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2013-2016. This research will seek the causes of whether CSR data allocation is able to strengthen or weaken the influence of financial performance on firm value. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and eight companies were selected as samples of plantations with a four-year research period to obtain 32 sample units. The analytical method used is descriptive statistical testing, panel data regression analysis and moderated regression analysis (MRA) using e-views software 9.0 versions. Based on the result of the test, the financial performance variables that are proxied by ROA and ROE partially and simultaneously have a significant positive effect on firm value. While the MRA showed that CSR weakens the relationship between financial performance and company value. Based on the result that the companies and investors need to pay attention to the composition of financial performance and disclosure of corporate social responsibility, hence the investor is able to minimize the risks that will be borne when investing their capital.
