Abstract

The goal of this research is to determine the level of satisfaction of tourists who visited Budapest as a cultural heritage tourism destination in terms of experience quality, which includes interaction quality, physical environment quality, access quality, and outcome quality. In this study, the holiday satisfaction (HOLSAT) model is used to examine tourist satisfaction levels by comparing the mean of expectation and experience from each attribute. In total, 131 on-line questioners’ responses from international tourists who visited Budapest between October 24 and November 17, 2019 were collected. The findings show that there are seven attributes indicating tourist satisfaction: staff knowledge, language competence, preservation, sign & information, ease of access, public transportation, and safety & security. Technology, traffic, and crowdedness are three indicators of tourist dissatisfaction. Furthermore, service, staff interaction, exhibition display, facilities, cleanliness, site accessibility, unpleasant behaviour of other visitors, and learning experience have a less significant difference between expectation and experience

Abstract

Ecotourism has been identified as a potential source of tourism development, particularly in conservation areas such as national parks. Ecotourism principles should be implemented in order to achieve the goals of sustainable tourism. One of the ecotourism principles for minimizing the negative impacts of tourism activities is waste disposal methods. Baluran National Park is a conservation site with the primary goal of preserving its ecosystem while also being accessible to tourists. As one of the potential ecotourism sites, the purpose of this study was to use qualitative research to investigate the practices of implementing ecotourism principles on waste disposal methods in order to reduce the negative impact caused by tourism activity in Baluran National Park. The observation will concentrate on how the six waste disposal methods (Ceballos-Lascurain, 1996) are implemented in the main tourist areas of Baluran National Park, which are Batangan, Bekol, and Bama. The results show that four waste disposal methods, namely reducing waste with non-toxic materials, reusing materials on-site or off-site recycling, efficient recycling by sorting materials, and material control, have not been implemented in Baluran National Park. Meanwhile, composting or anaerobically digesting biodegradable wastes and purchasing materials from local people are two methods that have been applied, but not thoroughly.

Abstract

Since its inception in 2010, the Sri Gethuk Waterfall Tourism Area has seen a steady increase in the number of tourists who visit. Prior to 2015, the highest number of tourism visits recorded was 140.315. This increasing sum has compelled the tourism site’s management to build supporting facilities in this tourism site. As these tourism-supporting facilities have been built on an annual basis, they have gradually transformed a land that was previously a forest and rainfed rice land. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the transformation of land use on the Sri Gethuk tourism site. It makes use of chronological or time series imagery data to learn about land use in 1999, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2018. Additionally, the digitized data is analyzed with overlay techniques. The overlay analysis has obtained a new area as a result of the intersection from two changing of land use areas. This research discovers that there was a drastic change on two interval years, which were on 2011 until 2013 as the large change of the land reached 0,631664 Ha. Furthermore, the large change of the land on 2013 until 2015 reached 0,517924 Ha. Along the escalation of tourism visits, the supporting tourism facilities had been built on this tourism site on 2011 until 2015, for instance: parking lots, prayer room, stalls, toilet, pathway, hall, gazebo, and concreting the dock area.
