Abstract

The Mina Karya Fishery Product Marketers Processing Group (Poklahsar) is a business group in Tambaklorok, Semarang, that processes marine products. It currently faces limitations in product processing and diversification, marketing, and finance. This group has the potential to grow and reach a broader market. PKM activities aim to increase POKLAHSAR 'Mina Karya' capacity to diversify processed mangroves and optimize marketing and financial management capabilities. Activity methods include training, assistance in using appropriate technology related to mangrove-processed diversification, and finance and marketing management skills. The results of PKM activities are an increase in the capacity of Poklahsar Mina Karya in diversifying processed mangrove production and the ability of the results of PKM activities to increase the capacity of Poklahsar Mina Karya in production, marketing, and finance. Spinner machine assistance accelerates the draining process to only 10 minutes and durability for three months. The disc mill flouring machine technology helped diversify products and increase Marketing and finance training, helped partners expand market reach to a national scale, and optimized business management, creating new economic opportunities.

Abstract

The training program on item response theory (IRT) analysis using R Studio for teachers in Manokwari aims to enhance their understanding of modern test theory and their ability to use R Studio as an analytical tool. Many teachers are unfamiliar with these concepts, so the training provides in-depth knowledge and practical applications to analyze test data and estimate student abilities. This interactive, practice-based training involved 30 teachers and included socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, and evaluation of R Studio in test item analysis. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers' knowledge and skills. Before the training, 90 percent of teachers were unfamiliar with R Studio, and 70 percent lacked understanding of IRT. After the training, 70 percent of teachers could use R Studio for student answer analysis, and 80 percent demonstrated a good grasp of modern test theory concepts. This improvement reflects the program's success in achieving its objectives and has the potential to enhance the quality of educational assessments in Manokwari. By utilizing IRT analysis more effectively, teachers can make better-informed decisions in the teaching and learning process, ultimately contributing to improved educational outcomes.

Abstract

The optimisation of water table management is a significant strategy to prevent the risk of fire and peat subsidence. Peatlands, unique ecosystems, are frequently damaged by drainage due to human activities. The hydrological restoration program aims to protect and manage peat ecosystems, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the resilience of fire-free villages. The success indicators of peat rewetting can be indicated by a shallow water table and a slow rate of subsidence. The objective is to optimise the water table management to prevent fires and subsidence, while increasing community awareness of its importance in agriculture. The implementation of Community Service Activities was conducted in Punggur Kecil Village, involving the Farmer Group in Parit Toom Jaya and the Fire Care Community Parit Rahmat group in the Kapuas River-Punggur Besar River Peat Hydrological Unit. These activities included socialization, educational sessions, and field visits to peatlands to gain insight into the concept of peat rewetting techniques. Practical training was also provided on measuring and monitoring water tables, followed by regular evaluations to assess progress. This strategy not only enhances agricultural productivity but also reduces fire risks and land subsidence, providing a sustainable, long-term solution for peatland ecosystem management.

Abstract

Yobeh Village, located in the Sentani district, consisted of 3 community units (RW) and 7 neighborhood units (RT) with a total of 173 families and 692 residents. A portion of the community, approximately 56 families with around 246 residents, lived along the shores of the island in the Lake Sentani area. The waters of Lake Sentani served as the "center of life" for the community, where the lake was utilized for fishing, disposing of household waste, and fulfilling bathing, washing, and sanitation needs. It was also used as a source of raw water for drinking and other clean water needs. This community service activity aimed to provide the community with an understanding of the importance of clean water for life. It also equipped them with the skills to assemble and operate filtration technology equipment using four filtration tubes arranged in series. Tube 1 contained bio foam media, tube 2 contained polypropylene media, tube 3 contained Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) media, and tube 4 contained Chlorine, Taste, and Odor (CTO) media. Testing the quality of the filtered water demonstrated very significant improvements, meeting the requirements for hygienic clean water suitable as raw water for drinking purposes.

Abstract

Effective management of cash flow is an essential element in sustaining and expanding Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Inadequate financial recording and minimal digital financial literacy contribute to the challenges faced by many MSMEs in Indonesia in managing their cash flow. This program explores the capacity of QR Code technology, specifically the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), to improve the management of cash flow in MSMEs. The objective of the study was to adopt QRIS as a digital payment system in order to enhance cash flow efficiency. A training and mentorship program was carried out for 30 MSMEs associated with the East Java IKM Forum. The program followed a five-stage approach, which included planning, execution, evaluation, feedback, and sustainability program. The findings demonstrate a notable enhancement in the digital financial literacy of the participants after the session. The integration of QRIS into the daily operations of MSMEs facilitated more efficient cash flow management and expanded consumer outreach. The implementation of QRIS technology shown its efficacy in enabling financial monitoring and broadening commercial prospects for MSMEs.

Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a serious health problem in Indonesia with the Aedes aegypti mosquito as the main vector. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of sugar solution-based mosquito traps in reducing mosquito populations at SD Ummu Aiman. The traps were made using simple materials and then distributed to the school's mosquito-prone areas. Socialization and education were conducted for teachers through presentations, questions and answers, and hands-on practice of making the traps. Their effectiveness was evaluated through an online questionnaire. The results showed a significant reduction in the frequency of mosquito presence after trap installation, with an increase in respondents who no longer encountered mosquitoes from 5 percent to 25 percent. 85 percent of respondents considered the traps effective and safe, and the majority were willing to implement them in their area. The program successfully increased teachers' knowledge and engagement in mosquito control, despite facing constraints such as limited time, resources, and odor from the traps. Continuous support and regular evaluation are expected to increase the effectiveness and acceptance of this innovation. The sugar solution-based mosquito trap innovation is expected to be an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution for dengue vector control in schools.
