Abstract

Abstract The problems in this study are (1) how much income earned by farmers from seaweed cultivation activities in Sandi Village, South Kaledupa District (2) How much is the feasibility value of seaweed cultivation by farmers (3) How is the structure of the seaweed market in the Village South Kaledupa District. This research was carried out with the aim to determine (1) the income received by seaweed farmers (2) to determine the feasibility value of seaweed farming (3) to determine the seaweed market structure in Sandi Village, South Kaledupa District. The population in this study were all farmers who cultivated seaweed which amounted to 50 people. Determination of respondents is done by census method by taking all farmers totaling 50 respondents. The results showed that the average income obtained by farmers within 6 months amounted to IDR. 5,576,000 with an average rope length of 1277 meters used by farmers, with an income of IDR 929,333 per capita per month. That seaweed business is feasible to be cultivated and developed. The market structure faced by each marketing agency for seaweed in Sandi village is the same. Farmers and village collectors face an oligopsony market structure. Dry seaweed produced by respondents after being sold to exporters, the seaweed sold back to the Industry in Surabaya to be managed and processed further so that the market structure faced by large traders (exporters) lead to the oligopoly market. Abstract

Abstract   Problem statements in this research are: how much is the cost incurred by farmers in tomato farming in Waklii Village, Kapontori Sub-district, Buton Regency and how much is the income obtained from tomato farming in Wakuli Village, Kapontori Sub-district, Buton Regency. This study aims to determine how much the average cost received by farmers from tomato farming in Wakuli Village, Kapontori Sub-district Buton Regency and how much the average income received by tomato farmers in Wakuli Village, Kapontori sub-district, Buton Regency, this research was carried out in Wakuli Village, Kapontori Sub-district of Buton Regency for two months from June to July 2015. The population of this study was existing tomato farmers, the research sample took 30 tomato farmers. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and data analysis using cost and revenue analysis. The results showed that the costs incurred by farmers in conducting tomato farming activities with an average land area of 1 ha with an average cost of IDR 5,715,983 and the average acceptance of IDR 14,303,667, with the average income of the respondent farmers, is IDR 8,587,983. Recommendations Local governments, especially at the regency level, need to establish regulations relating to the tomato marketing system, especially determining basic prices.   Keywords: cost and acceptance analysis, tomato farming

Abstract

Abstract   The thing rises of the Balinese-Hindu farmers in the implementation of the Subak system in their fields. In this system, common life is arranged among farmers, where the irrigation system is carried out fairly and evenly, all problems are discussed together such as determining the planting tune, and the type of rice to be planted. If there is a violation, the sanction is determined through a civil ceremony or ritual held in Pura. This study aims to determine the income of lowland rice farmers who implemented the Subak system in the Subak Pura Sari in Baubau Town. The results showed that the average income of lowland rice farming that implemented the Subak system in Baubau Town was IDR 12,767,352 in the form of rice per planting season, with an average cost of IDR 9.162,648 in the period from 2016 to 2017. While in terms of efficiency, farming is profitable because the R/C ratio is greater than 1, namely 1.39. Fulfillment of the needs of farmers with this income is considered because the number of regional minimum wages (UMR) in Southeast Sulawesi in 2017 is at the figure of IDR 2,002,625 per month.   Keywords: Subak system, rice fields, farm income

Abstract

Abstract The problem formulation of this research are: (I) How big is the level of farming income of wetland rice before and after receiving financial assistance from the PUAP program at the Panca Usaha GAPOKTAN in Wakangka Village, Kapontori Sub-district, Buton Regency; and (2) How much is the level of effectiveness of the PUAP program funding assistance to the level of wetland rice farming income in Wakangka Village, Kapontori Sub-district. The purpose of this study were (1) to find out the level of wetland rice farming income level before and after receiving financial assistance from the PUAP program at the Panca Usaha GAPOKTAN in Wakangka Village, Kapontori Sub-district; and (2) To determine the level of effectiveness of PUAP funding assistance to the level of wetland rice farming income in Wakangka Village, Kapontori Sub-district. This research was carried out in the village of Wakangka, Kapontori Sub-district, Buton Regency, from August to September 2016 by taking 30 farmers as samples. The analysis used in this study farming acceptance is the multiplication between production and selling price, farming costs are all expenditures used in a farm, and net income is the difference between income and expenditure. The return can be written as follows: TRi = Yi x Pyi; Total cost (TC) = FC + VC and farm income is the difference between revenue and all costs. (Pd) = TR - TC. After the income is known, quantitative analysis is then analyzed, then paired sample t-test is carried out with the help of SPSS 20 for windows. Based on the results of the study and discussion shows that there is a difference in the average income level of the farmer's group (GAPOKTAN) Panca Usaha in Wakangka Village before and after receiving PUAP funding, which is IDR. 839,666.67 or an increase of 7.77%. The average income of farmers before receiving PUAP assistance amounted IDR IDR10,805,090.00 after receiving PUAP assistance amounting to IDR 11,644,756.67 with an average land area of 0.94 Ha. PUAP program in Panca Usaha GAPOKTAN Wakangka Village is said to be effectively seen from the outcome variables which consist of the level of income and revolving PUAP funds before and after receiving PUAP program assistance. Abstract

Abstract   The problem statement in this research is: Whether the factors of production (land area and seeds) affect the income of shallot farming in Lapandewa Kaindea, Lapandewa sub-district, South Buton Regency? The purpose of this study was to determine whether the factors of production (Land area and seeds) affect the income of onion farming in Lapandewa Kaindea Village, Lapandewa Sub-district, South Buton Regency. The Population of this study is the onion farmers in Lapandewa Kaindea Village, Lapandewa sub-district, South Buton Regency. The researcher?s sample took was 32 farmers. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and analyzed using income analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that farmers in Lapandewa Kaindea Village, Lapandewa District, South Buton Regency, were the factors of production in the form of costs (labor, seeds, and fertilizer) that significantly affected the red onion farming income. With an R2 value of 0.981. This means that the factors of production in the form of (labor, seeds, and fertilizer) have an effect of 98.10% only, the rest is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. Recommendations on the part of the government are expected to give more attention to farmers, both in the form of handling fertilizer prices, fertilizer, and fake fertilizer distribution.   Keywords: Effect of production factors, revenue, onion
