Abstract

The economic stability of a country can be seen from the inflation rate. This study aimed to analyze the influence of monetary and fiscal aspects on inflation and the most effective policies for inflation problems in Indonesia, using time series data for 2010-2019 and the VECM model. The result showed that the money supply and tax revenue influence inflation and that there is a one-way causality relationship. The interest rate variable has not control inflation. The result of the causality test also shows that interest rate does not affect the money supply variabel, and tax revenue variables do not affect the money supply variable. The explanation of the estimation result of the VECM model generally shows that there is a long-term relationship and short-term relationship of each variable.

Abstract

BBanks are financial institutions involved in the state development process that provide services to the public and have functions, such as raising funds. Banks cannot carry out their tasks properly if there are no funds; one of the ways the banks attract the public to raise funds is the time deposit interest rate. This study aims to determine what factors can affect commercial banks' deposit rates in Indonesia from 2010 to 2019. This research method uses multiple regression analysis techniques using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method using secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the BI rate significantly affects the deposit rate. Inflation significantly affects deposit rates. Meanwhile, economic growth does not affect substantially deposit rates. The estimation results of the VECM model show that there is a significant effect in the long run but not substantial in the short term.

Abstract

The economic development aimed at improving people’s welfare often ignores the negative impact of the surrounding environment. The high use of energy aimed to increase the national income of the five ASEAN members hurts the environment by increasing CO2 levels in the air. This research aims to analyze the effect of CO2 emissions, coal consumption, electricity consumption and deforestation on national output in five ASEAN members. The variable used in this research is national output as the dependent variable and CO2 emissions, coal consumption, electricity consumption and deforestation as the independent variables. This research uses secondary data. The data is the panel data of five ASEAN members (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar) from 2002 until 2018. The research method in this time is panel data regression, using Fixed Effect Model. This research shows that in five ASEAN members from 2002 until 2018, CO2 emissions harm national output, coal consumption, and electricity consumption positively affects national outcome, while deforestation does not affect national output.

Abstract

This study tries to use the Spatial concept by analyzing the observed spatial patterns and spatial autocorrelation, as well as evaluating the spatial modeling of each region in 60 districts/cities in five Southern Sumatra Provinces. This research used Geoda. Geoda will then provide a spatial description of the condition of the percentage of GRDP presented in the Moran I statistics, LISA and LISA Clusterd Map in 2015-2019. The results of this study are expected to show the spatial relationship of GRDP between 60 regencies/cities in five provinces in Sumbagsel and be able to indicate how the spatial relationship is in the clustered pattern of regions with the same characteristics. Furthermore, the LISA Cluster map is expected to describe the grouping of GRDP in 11 regions. The SAR model was chosen to analyze cases of spatial linkage. This study will further provide an economic analysis of how the percentage of the population and GRDP influence, In addition, this study will examine how the influence of the Development Index and poverty on GRDP. Therefore, this research will be one of the studies that has the latest updates because it uses two approaches; spatial approach and economic approach presented in the results of the discussion and discussion.
