Abstract

Research has been carried out with the title of the biobriquette quality mixture of coconut shell, corn cobs, and rice husk with sago flour as adhesive. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the bio-briquettes with a mixture of coconut shells, corn cobs and rice husks with sago flour as an adhesive. In this study the raw material used was coconut shell with the process of drying at temperatures of 3500C, corn cobs with a temperature of 1500C and rice husks with a temperature of 1200C with the composition used was 60%: 20%: 20%, 60%: 25%: 15%, 60%: 30%: 10% and 60%: 35%: 5% then sieving particle size for all 40 mesh samples, mixing using 3 grams of sago flour as bio-briquette adhesive, then bio-briquette printing and drying is done. Furthermore testing of compressive strength, moisture content, ash content, calorific value and combustion time with the results of compressive strength testing using the tool. TA.XTPlus Texture Analyzer the best characteristics obtained in the composition 60%: 35%: 5% with a value of 9.82 kg /cm2, and the best characteristic moisture content was tested in the composition of 60%: 30%: 10% with a value of 4.59%. The quality produced from the biobriquette mixture of coconut shell, corn cobs, and rice husk with sago flour as adhesive can be categorized as good. This is seen from the testing of water content, ash content and calorific value that meets the Indonesian national standard and the burning time of 152.18 minutes, except for compressive strength testing that does not equal to the quality standards of Indonesia.

Abstract

It has been done field lecture with the title of study of rock structural layer in the village in the district Elo Mallawa Maros South Sulawesi Regency. The purpose of this field of lecture is to determine the structure of rock lining at the site of field lecture. The methods used in the course of this field are the methods of discussion, sampling and measurement. The tools used are geological compass, meter, hammer geology, GPS and ATK. Results obtained in the location of the lecture field is the presence of production stones consisting of several types of rock layers. The types of rock layers acquired are Rijang stone, sandstone, stone clay, and limestone. And the obtained stone layer has a strike and a dip N 353° E 64°.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of variations of coconut shell charcoal and bamboo charcoal on briquette characteristics, thus obtained optimum composition that produces briquette with the best characteristic. This research is a laboratory experimentation study, with free variables being charcoal compositions, and bound variables are characteristic briquettes consisting of: Heat value, moisture content, and ignition length. The results showed that variations in the composition of briquette from coconut charcoal and bamboo charcoal influenced briquette characteristics, moisture value, moisture content, and the length of time of ignition. The highest heat value is obtained on the composition of 10% of bamboo charcoal and 90% of coconut shell Charcoal is 7110.73 cal/G with a water content of 4.82% and the length of time of 150.45 minutes.

Abstract

This field study aims to look at the structure of rock layers and formations in the Mallawa area of Maros Regency. The method used in this studi is sampling at two points where these two points are estimated to have alignment on the layer. This method is a method of observation, direct measurement, and rock sampling at each point. From . This is obtained by several rock samples from each point which are then tested using water which serves to test the permeability and porosity of rock samples, while the hardness of the rock is tested by giving a scratch on the sample. From the research it was concluded that in general the rock structure in Pada’ Elo, Kecamatan. Mallawa, Maros Regency is composed of sedimentary rock formations.

Abstract

This study is about Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) which aims to determine the absorbance value of henna leaf extract (Lawsonia Inermis L) as a sensitizer in DSSC and find out how the effect of immersion time of TiO2 layer on the efficiency value produced. The method used to make the extract is maceration and to doping TiO2 using the doctor blade method with an area of 1.5x1.5 cm. In this study UV-Vis testing was carried out to determine the absorbance value of dye henna leaf extract, current and voltage testing to determine the current and voltage values obtained from cells and SEM tests to determine the surface structure of TiO2 layers. The absorbance value of the nail extract leaf extract is based on the results of the UV Vis test which is 0.077 which is located in an area with a wavelength of 663 nm. For the TiO2 coating immersion time obtained the lowest efficiency value of cells with immersion of TiO2 layer for 1 hour which is 0.0038%, then immersion of TiO2 layer for 12 hours obtained efficiency value 0.0056% and soaking TiO2 layer for 24 hours obtained efficiency value 0.0083%.

Abstract

It has been done field lectures to determine Strike and dip in the village in the ELO district, Mallawa Maros South Sulawesi Regency. The purpose of this lecture is to know the value of Strike and dip in the lecture site field. The methods used are methods of discussion, sampling and measurement. The tools used are geological compass, GPS, geological Hammer, ATK and meter. From the results of measurements obtained Strike and DIP N353oE/64o value at the location of the lecture field.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the level of radioactivity in the district of Mamuju and compare it with other land activities. and prove previous research on land activity in Mamuju is quite high. Measurements are done using the method of counting and identifying. That is identifying the radionuclides contained in the sample according to the Uranium and Thorium series. The tools used are LBC (Low Background Counter) and Gamma spectrometry. The results showed that: land activity in all samples has exceeded the limits established by PERKA BAPETEN and IAEA (International of Atomic Agency). The highest radioactivity results are found in the Takandeang region. And on all three samples showed the results of a very significant natural radionulida activity on vulnerable concentrations of activity in European countries.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the direction and type of active faults in the region of South Sulawesi by using the hypocenter and Centroid (HC). The data used is secondary data obtained from the hypocenter USGS, IRIS, GEOFON website and the data obtained from BMKG centroid that is processed using the focus mechanism to coordinate limit  LS –  BT. According to the research by the method of HC obtained by the type and direction of the active faults in the region I with the type of normal foult directed N6E/32 south-north , region II with the type of strike-slip fault directed N358E/83  north-south, Region III with the type of oblique fault directed N74E/16  southwest-northeast, Region IV with the type of normal foult directed  N109E/56 northwest- southeast and in the region of V with the type of strike-slip fault directed N332E/50 southeast-northwest.

Abstract

The manufacture and characterization of the lithium bus Composite (oxalate) borate with the addition of magnesium chloride (LiBOB/MgCl2). Electrolytes as a media transfer ion battery, plays an important role in the charge-discharge process of lithium ion batteries. The basic ingredients used in the study are lithium hydroxide (LIOH), Borid acid (H3BO3), Our acid dehydrate (H2C2O4 • 2H2O) and magnesium chloride hexahydrate (MgCl2 • 6H2O). The method used in this research is solid state reaction or known as solid-solid method. Based on the results of the XRD characterization, shows the peaks of LiBOB experiencing a shift after being added with 2.5%; 5% and 7.5% MgCl2 • 6H2O, in addition it also raises new peaks of magnesium. While the spread of the material is blown the sample appears evenly with the SEM-EDX test, however there are some elements that are experiencing clotting. And the FTIR test showed a change in the frequency of each mass increase of MgCl2 • 6H2O, but did not cause peak changes in each sample. In the EIS test results, obtaining a low electrical conductivity value, due to agglomeration of the material after the addition of elemental magnesium that is ionic. Thus also causes the diffusion of ions to lower.

Abstract

Research has been conducted which aims to determine the effect of various colors of LED light and sound effects with frequency of 280Hz-16KHz. This research was conducted by seeding mustard greens for 2 weeks then moving mustard greens to polybags by giving two treatments. First treatment of mustard greens illuminated by LED lights with the color red, yellow, green and the fourth polybag left without the addition of LED light. The second treatment is every 1 polybag of green mustard illuminated by LED lights with red, yellow, green lights at night for 4 hours then exposed to sound in the morning for 4 hours and the fourth polybag is exposed to sound without the addition of lights. The results of this study indicate the effect of the addition of red LED light color on the plant is clearly seen in the width of green mustard leaves that have wider leaves between the addition of other LED light colors and the number of leaves produced more than the addition of yellow, green and without additional light. The effect of exposure to sound on the plant has a fairly good influence on the height of the stem, stem width and number of leaves compared to plants that are not given sound exposure and in plants that are given additional LED light then the sound produces better plant growth compared to plants that only given additional lights or just given a sound.
