Abstract

Rainfall is water that falls to the ground surface over a certain period and is measured in millimeters (mm). Rainfall is essential for the life of living things. Forecasting plays a significant role in decision-making in modern times, with two main methods: causal models and time series. Time series models have five types of data patterns: random, constant, seasonal, cyclical, and trend. For rainfall forecasting, the Double Exponential Smoothing and Triple Exponential Smoothing methods are used for trend pattern data. This research compares the two approaches based on error values using average rainfall data in Bojonegoro. The results show that Double Exponential Smoothing has a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 0.6996%, while Triple Exponential Smoothing has a MAPE of 119.1497%. So, Double Exponential Smoothing is more accurate.

Abstract

This study evaluates the application of Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT)-based decision support systems in the recruitment process of financial managers in technology companies "TechInnovate". This study aims to identify the extent to which the use of MAUT can increase objectivity and effectiveness in candidate selection. The quantitative method was used by collecting data from 50 candidates who volunteered for this position. The assessment criteria that have been determined include Education and Qualifications, Work Experience, Analytical and Financial Skills, Communication Skills, Leadership and Team Management, Ethics and Integrity, Technology Capabilities, Adaptability and Innovation, Decision Making Ability. Data is collected through scores assigned to each criterion for each candidate, which are then aggregated taking into account the relative weights of each criterion. Statistical analysis is applied to evaluate the distribution of scores and the effectiveness of the system in selecting the most suitable candidates. Results from this study show that the application of MAUT is significant in improving objectivity in recruitment decision making, with high scores strongly correlated with expected job performance in in-depth interviews and follow-up evaluations. This study proves that integrating a systematic approach in recruitment not only strengthens the selection process but also promotes data-driven and objective decisions. The implications of this research are relevant for companies operating in dynamic and technology-centric environments, suggesting the integration of MAUT-based decision support systems as an effective strategy in the recruitment process.

Abstract

The initial phase of farmers cannot quickly regulate the selection of the quality of produced chili peppers due to limitations in manpower and time. This can lead to inaccuracies in chili selection, resulting in not all marketed chilies being in good condition. The color quality of chili peppers is one of the characteristics that can be observed. Some important factors that also concern chili farmers include the level of chili ripeness, adverse effects on consumers, and a decrease in farmers' or traders' turnover. Based on these problems, researchers developed a design for a chili ripeness sorting tool with a color sensor to sort chili color quality. This research model utilizes Research & Development, with the following stages: potential and problems, information collection, product design planning, product development, product testing, and product revision. The chili ripeness sorting tool based on Arduino Uno utilizes the TCS 3200 color sensor as a device to capture chili color data and a servo motor as an actuator. Based on product testing, the success rate of color readings is 93.33%. This product is expected to assist chili farmers in sorting and determining the quality of chilies to be sold to consumers.
