Abstract

A neural network--based adaptive passive output feedback control problem is studied for a class of multi-input multi-output nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinearities and unknown parameters. Neural networks are used to identify unknown nonlinearities, and the update laws of weight parameters and constant parameters are proposed. The design methods of the adaptive passive controllers for this class of systems are discussed in the paper. The corresponding adaptive passive controllers and parametric adaptive laws are designed and presented respectively. It is proved that the closed-loop system composed of the original system and the designed controller is stable by the Lyapunov method, and the controller designed can render the closed system adaptive passive. Finally, a simulation example is given to prove the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1600

Abstract

This paper uses the double-factors grey prediction and the fuzzy controller for the elevator car speed control. We introduce double-factors grey control to predict car vibration for elevator speed during the operation. Simulation results show that based on multi-factors gray prediction fuzzy PI control for elevator velocity modulation system closer than simple gray fuzzy PI control elevator speed control system to the actual operation. The control effect of double factors grey fuzzy PI control elevator speed control system is also satisfactory. Abstract

Certificateless public key cryptography is a new paradigm with two interesting features. On one hand, it keeps the certificate free property of identity-based public key cryptography (ID-PKC), while on the other hand, it gets rid of the inherent key escrow problem of ID-PKC. These two distinctive features make certificateless threshold signature schemes more applicable in practice as it removes the cost of transmitting and verifying the public key certificates of the participants who are involved in signing, and yet without the fear of key escrow. In this paper, we analyze the security of an existing certificateless threshold signature (CLTHS) scheme recently proposed by Zhong et al.[26]. We show it is insure by demonstrating its three security drawbacks. Especially, we present a kind of public key replacement attack against it. Our attack reveals that it is subject to universal forgeries of type I adversaries. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1406

Abstract

In a recent paper [CHIN. PHYS. LETT. Vol.26,No.7(2009)070306 ], DONG et al. proposed a scheme for probabilistic controlled teleportation of a triplet W state using combined non-maximally entangled channel of two Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) states and one Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state. In this paper ,only using one Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) state and one Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state, the scheme for probabilistic controlled teleportation of a triplet W state is presented. Furthermore, Comparing with the widely used Bell-State measurement, Alice performs orthogonal complete basis measurement in the current work. Then Bob can faithfully reconstruct the original state by performing relevant unitary transformations. The total probability of successful teleportation is only dependent on channel coefficients of EPR state and GHZ state. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1546

Abstract

This paper concentrates on the solution of state feedback exact linearization zero steady-state error optimal control problem for nonlinear systems affected by external disturbances. Firstly, the nonlinear system model with external disturbances is converted to quasi-linear system model by differential homeomorphism. Using Internal Model Optional Control (IMOC), the disturbances compensator is designed, which exactly offset the impact of external disturbances on the system. Taking the  system and the disturbances compensator in series, a new augmented system is obtained. Then the zero steady-state error optimal control problem is transformed into the optimal regulator design problem of an augmented system, and the optimal static error feedback control law is designed according to the different quadratic performance index. At last, the simulation results show the effectiveness of the method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1214

Abstract

On UHV power transmission lines, when single-phase ground fault happen, it will appear secondary arc on lines, the existence of secondary arc impact on the stable operation of system. The effectiveness of single-pole autoreclosure (SPAR) in maintaining power system stability is largely determined by the speed with which secondary arc extinction, and hence autoreclosure, can be achieved. The paper adopts total harmonic distortion (THD) to judge the status of arc. First, the simulation model of secondary arc is established by ATP software. Then, faulted phase voltage and secondary arc are simulated in different close angle. Last, spectrum characteristics and harmonic content of faulted phase voltage and current are analyzed in different close angle, at the same time, THD of non-faulted phase is also analyzed by Fourier algorithm. Through the fault phase voltage and current simulation and Fourier analysis, which comes to the conclusion that at the peak in the power supply voltage secondary arc is the most difficult to extinguish and the harm to insulation is the greatest. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1411

Abstract

Since the conventional electro-mechanical converter of 2D valve had problems of step lose due to its small tooth-pitch angle, a novel rotary electromagnet with large tooth-pitch angle and coreless rotor structure was proposed. Combined with the approaches of magnetic circuit analysis, finite element simulation and experimental study, the static and dynamic characteristics of electromagnet including torque-angle characteristics, frequency response and step response were studied. The experimental results are in a close agreement with the simulated results. The electromagnet has sinusoidal torque-angle characteristics and good dynamic response. The maximum static torque is approximately 0.083N.M, and its frequency width is about 125Hz/-3dB, 130Hz/-90°, respectively, and the rise time is about 5.5 ms. It is appropriate to be used as the electro-mechanical converter of 2D proportional valve. DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1446

Abstract

The target of stand-alone hybrid power generation system was to supply the load demand with high reliability and economically as possible. To design these criteria the optimal design of the proposed configuration should be done by using intelligent optimization technique.  This study utilized Genetic Algorithm method to determine the optimal capacities of hydrogen, wind turbines and micro hydro unit according to the minimum cost objective functions that relate to these two factors. In this study, the cost objective function included the annual capital cost, annual operation maintenance cost, annual replacement cost and annual customer damage cost. The proposed method had been tested in the hybrid power generation system located in Leuwijawa village in Central Java of Indonesia. Simulation results showed that the optimum configuration can be achieved using 19.85 ton of hydrogen tanks, 21 x 100 kW wind turbines and 610 kW of micro hydro unit respectively. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1326

Abstract

Owing to the one-time scanning direction’s oneness and the limited slices’ number of the current CT imaging equipment, we propose an extraction algorithm of any angle virtual slice on 3D medical image based on the Hermite interpolation. In view of the large slice thickness, we first use the Hermite interpolation algorithm to interpolate the data between layers, and then by setting a virtual plane of normal vector and the interior point, combined with improved three-dimensional linear interpolation algorithm for image sequence to be cut we obtain a virtual slice, finally we observe the extraction with a three-dimensional reconstruction of the virtual slices. Experimental result shows that the extracted virtual slice is close to the actual slice, it can be used for computer-aided diagnosis, clinical diagnosis, and it compensates for the CT imaging equipment on the lack of imaging. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1409

Abstract

Stirling engine is being received more and more attention with the development of renewable energy utility. The paper described the design and simulation of a 3-KW Stirling engine based on a testing V-type machine while in the process of manufactured at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The engine was driven by solar energy. Based on the testing machine, the heater model of variable heat source, regenerator model and complete appliance model were built, and the thermal performance was simulated and shown under a typical sunlight in the area of Wuhan. The results suggested that the output power curve of Stirling engine appeared as the shape of a saddle in consideration that the radiant energy density of solar energy was non-constant, and electrical heating was employed to serve as the auxiliary heat source. There was about 1.83 KW output work of the manufactured engine during the simulation, and the effective efficiency was about 25.4%. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i6.1405
