Abstract

Robot path planning is a NP problem; traditional optimization methods are not very effective to solve it. Traditional genetic algorithm trapped into the local minimum easily. Therefore, based on a simple genetic algorithm and combine the base ideology of orthogonal design method then applied it to the population initialization, using the intergenerational elite mechanism, as well as the introduction of adaptive local search operator to prevent trapped into the local minimum and improve the convergence speed to form a new genetic algorithm. Through the series of numerical experiments, the new algorithm has been proved to be efficiency. We also use the proposed algorithm to solve the robot path planning problem and the experiment results indicated that the new algorithm is efficiency for solving the robot path planning problems and the best path usually can be found. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i8.1191

Abstract

Premature convergence is the main obstacle to the application of genetic algorithm.  The study on convergence of GA is always one of the most important theoretical issues. Via analyzing the convergence rate of GA, the average computational complexity can be implied and the optimization efficiency of GA can be judged. This paper proposed an approach to calculating the first expected hitting time and analyzed the bounds of the first hitting time of concrete GA using the proposed approach. And this paper proposed a strategy which included  transformation of fitness function, self-adaptive crossover and mutation probability and close relative breeding avoidance method in order to overcome premature convergence. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i8.1641

Abstract

The roller bearing characteristic frequencies contain very little energy, and are usually overwhelmed by noise and higher levels of structural vibrations. Therefore, envelope spectrum analysis is widely used to detection bearing localized fault. In order to overcome the shortcomings in the traditional envelope analysis in which manually specifying a resonant frequency band is required, a new approach based on the fusion of the Laplace wavelet transform and envelope spectrum is proposed for detection and diagnosis defects in roller element bearings. The basic principle is introduced in detail. Laplace wavelet transform is self-adaptive to non-stationary and non-linear signal. The methodology developed in this paper decomposes the original times series data in intrinsic oscillation modes, using the Laplace wavelet transform. Then the envelope spectrum is applied to the selected daughter wavelet that stands for the bearing faults. The experimental results show that Laplace wavelet can extract the impulse response from strong noise signals and can effectively diagnose the faults of bearing. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i8.1653

Abstract

This paper studies the effect of various mitigation loop configurations namely: single horizontal mitigation loop (two conductors), two separate horizontal mitigation loops (four conductors) and single vertical mitigation loop (two conductors), on the magnetic field produced by 220kV double-circuit overhead transmission line. Also, in this paper a further reduction in the magnetic field is achieved by inserting properly-selected capacitors within these mitigation loops. The obtained results indicate that the reduction in the magnetic field by using these mitigation loops largely depends on the arrangements and the locations of these loops with respect to the conductors of 220kV double-circuit overhead transmission line. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i8.1521

Abstract

In order to solve the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) 3-d track planning problems, according to UAV flight are subject to different threats, UAV flight track was established optimal decision-making system, and the fuel consumption, radar threats, missile threats, anti-aircraft threats and atmosphere threats are determined as the evaluation index of objective function, and optimal mathematical model of UAV flight track is constructed. Experience evaluation method is often used to Weight calculation, but there is certain subjectivity .Therefore information entropy method is adopted to determine the Weights by the set of track plans. Grey incidence analysis method is applied to deal with the gray correlation information between the various indicators and to solve the model. Finally, the optimal model is used to scheme selection for flight track planning problem with four threat radar points, five missile threat points, six artillery threat points and four climate threat points to the threat point of flight track planning scheme options. And get the flight track with the best overall performance and Minimum Comprehensive cost, the research provides a theoretical basis for further studying the three-dimensional UAV flight track optimization. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i8.1635
