Abstract

This paper proposed a novel blind color digital watermarking algorithm based on Integer Discrete Wavelet Transform (IDWT) and Human Visual System (HVS). Firstly, color watermark image was processed into one dimension digital information, and color host image was converted into YIQ color space. Then, according to the features of HVS, encrypted watermark was embedded adaptively into the Y luminance component of the YIQ color space in IDWT domain. The proposed algorithm allowed extracting watermark without the help of original watermark and host image. Experiment results show that the embedded watermark is invisible and robust against common image attacks. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1900

Abstract

Train control system is to control the velocity and the distance between trains in the railway and to protect the safe and high efficiency of train running. An ideal train control system testing and simulation platform should simulate the real railway operating environment and the train running. There are different requirements for the train visualization in the train control system testing and simulation platform. According to the specific analysis of the train running behavior and multiresolution theory, this paper raised the train visualization modeling of different resolution. Meanwhile the aggregation and disaggregation process between different resolution models were analyzed in detail. After all, the availability of this method was certified by 3D train simulation cases. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1911

Abstract

This paper proposes a rotor speed identification method for sensorless induction motor drives based on a model reference adaptive system (MRAS). In this scheme, the error between estimated stator current and real stator current is regarded as the system error to estimate the rotor speed. Adaptive full-order flux observers for estimating the rotor speed are developed using Lyapunov’s stability theory. The stator resistance identification algorithm is developed with rotor speed estimating method in a systematic manner. Because of the stator resistance varies with inner temperature of the motor, the influence of motor speed estimation due to stator resistance identification error is analyzed. The error compensation method for stator resistance estimation is also proposed. Simulation and experimental results show the good performance for the proposed scheme in speed and robustness for sensorless induction motor drives. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1865

Abstract

This study developed a new kind of speech detecting method by using millimeter wave. Because of the advantage of the millimeter wave, this speech detecting method has great potential application and may provide some exciting possibility for wide applications. However, the MMW conduct speech is in less intelligible and poor audibility since it is corrupted by additive combined noise. This paper, therefore, also developed an algorithm of wavelet packet threshold by using hard threshold and soft threshold for removing noise based on the good capability of wavelet packet for analyzing time-frequency signal. Comparing to traditional speech enhancement algorithm, the results from both simulation and listening evaluation suggest that the proposed algorithm takes on a better performance on noise removing while the distortion of MMW radar speech remains acceptable, the enhanced speech also sounds more pleasant to human listeners, resulting in improved results over classical speech enhancement algorithms. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1879

Abstract

In this paper, a novel regression algorithm named ν-twin support vector regression (ν-TSVR) is presented, improving upon the recently proposed twin support vector regression (TSVR). It also tries to seek two nonparallel down- and up-bounds for the unknown function. By treating the size of one-sided -insensitive tube as optimization variables with corresponding parameters s, we reformulate the original TSVR as a more sensible model. To this end, ν-TSVR has the advantage that s are learned simultaneously with regressor. Meantime, we give a theoretical result concerning the meaning of s. Moreover, by introducing structural risk minimization principle, the over-fitting phenomenon in TSVR can be avoided. We analyze the algorithm theoretically and demonstrate its effectiveness via the experimental results on several artificial and benchmark datasets. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1895

Abstract

In this paper, an improved finite element (FE) model is proposed to investigate the temperature distribution in gas insulated transmission lines (GILs). The solution of joule losses in eddy current field analysis is indirectly coupled into fluid and thermal fields. As is different from the traditional methods, the surrounding air of the GIL is involved in the model to avoid constant convective heat transfer coefficient, thus multiple species transport technique is employed to deal with the problem of two fluid types in a single model. In addition, the temperature dependent electrical and thermal properties of the materials are considered. The steady-state and transient thermal analysis of the GIL are performed separately with the improved model. The corresponding temperature distributions are compared with experimental results reported in the literature. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1247

Abstract

Video surveillance technology plays an important role in the security field, with its intuitive, convenient and abundant information and is widely used in city traffic, civil security and other various fields especially in the important safety departments or major events. In this paper, according to the video surveillance system features and functional requirements, we use embedded system ,OMAP4460 and Android operating system on the basis of the panoramic technology to realize vertical 180 degrees horizontal 360-degree panoramic video surveillance. In the paper we profoundly analyze and discuss the embedded panoramic video surveillance system mainly from the hardware platform structures, the design of the peripheral circuit and the panorama function implement. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1874

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the efficiency of some kind of Greedy Algorithms with respect to dictionaries from Hilbert spaces. We establish ideal Lebesgue-type inequality for Orthogonal Matching Pursuit also known in literature as the Orthogonal Greedy Algorithm for -coherent dictionaries. We show that the Orthogonal Matching Pursuit provides an almost optimal approximation on the first. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1890

Abstract

Transportation networks have been developed during the recent decades with the rapid growth of economy. At the same time, the conflicts between different transportation modes were getting more and more intense. To describe the competition relationship in integrated transportation system, a multi-agent competition model was presented. It is important to provide decision support for regulators to lead more reasonable distribution of resources for planning and operating the integrated transportation network. Thus, a simulation program was developed to implement the proposed model and provide computer-aid decision support. Finally, several experiments were conducted to illustrate the effectiveness of this technique. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1906

Abstract

Aiming at GPS dynamic filtering method, this paper uses the method of multi-scale analysis, combines the “current” statistical model of automotive carrier with multi-scale signal transformation which is based on statistical characteristic, establishes the new algorithm of multi-scale data fusion for GPS dynamic filter combining with normal Kalman filter algorithm, at last achieves the optimal fusion estimated value of the target states based on global information at the finest scale. When the above algorithm is used to GPS dynamic filter, the simulated results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively increase estimated precision of target states compared with the conventional KF. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1918
