Abstract

This paper is to demonstrate an optimizational PID control with changing integration rate approach, and it was validated and researched by applying to the two-linked tanks system. Analyzed the control principle of variable integral PID in this research, and optimized the variable function of variable integral PID control to improve the design.Deduced the improved variable integral PID control algorithm, and it was applied to the two-linked tanks system. And then made a simulation system and application experiment in the advanced process control experimental apparatus to value it. The results show that the optimizational variable integral PID control enables the system to improve the rapidity, stationarity and accuracy, also shows that the correctness and superiority of the control method. It really an useful method to provide a advanced way for the control system. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1808

Abstract

Taking the botnet incident response plan decision-making as an example, we construct a new graph model to represent complex plan resolution domain by using action decomposition. In this model we introduced action layer, relation between subactions and decompose the complex incident response plan into many layers. This graphic model provides a powerful representing framework on the complex plan domain. By analyzing the decomposing method and the action node structure, we prove that the store space size of this graphic representation is not increased exponentially when the action node added. We present a quantitatively analyzing algorithm on the plan resolution domain. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1869

Abstract

Monitoring the flow behaviour on the micro-scale is very important in many industrial and biochemical process, the multiphase coexistence in microchannel provides many attractive characteristics compared to a single-phase flow. The precise flow rate control and well-defined channel geometries make it possible for us to make detailed investigation on multiphase flow phenomena on micro scale. This paper aims at the solid-liquid two phase flow visualization in the cross-sections of a novel microchannel based on the electrical resistance tomography (ERT) technique. Experimental results reveal that ERT image reconstruction technique base on Agilent data acquisition system can effectively detect the particle distribution in the microchannel. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1885

Abstract

In Graph Theory, independent number and, dominating number are three of the important parameters to measure the resilience of graphs, respectively denoted by  and  for a graph . But predecessors have proved that computing them are very hard. So computing  and of some particular known graphs is extremely valuable. In this paper, we determine  and of -star graphs, denoted by , followed by some relative conclusions of -star, denoted by  as the isomorphism of . In addition, our method giving dominating set of  is more easily understood than [7], which presented a broadcast algorithm to determine dominating set of. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1901

Abstract

Based on the hierarchical characteristics of passengers transfer behavior and the state-dependent queuing model, the D-M/G/C/C queuing network simulation model was put forward for simulating the coordination of subjective passenger behavior and objective distribution environment. Then, the generation method and algorithm of the model is elaborated. In case study, the simulation results are consistent with the actual states of passenger outbound process. So, it is a practical simulation tool for analyzing the dynamic situations of passengers use facilities. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1912

Abstract

In this paper, we have proposed a tunable two dimensional (2D) photonic crystal (PhC) channel drop filter (CDF) using ring resonators with suitable quality factor (Q) and transmission efficiency; we investigate parameters which have an effect on resonant wavelength in this CDF, such as dielectric constant of inner, coupling, adjacent and whole rods of the structure. Dropping efficiency at the resonance and quality factor of single ring are 90% and 1046, respectively. The footprint of the proposed structure is about 125.6μm2; therefore this structure can be used in the future photonic integrated circuits. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1788

Abstract

The reliable transfer in Network on Chip can be guaranteed by crosstalk avoidance and error detection code. In this paper,we propose a joint coding scheme combined with crosstalk avoidance coding with error control coding. The Fibonacci numeral system is applied to satisfy the requirement of crosstalk avoidance coding, and the error detection is achieved by adding parity bits. We also implement the codec in register transfer level. Furthermore, the schemes of codec applying to fault-tolerant router are analyzed. The experimental result shows that "once encode, multiple decode" scheme outperforms other schemes in trade-o_ of delay, area and power. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1862

Abstract

The most sufficient test methods are based on a test case set which covers all combinations of parameters. However, the scale of test cases is always too large and their cost cannot be accepted. People will first consider the implementation of critical test cases. Even if the test is terminated suddenly, the test cases of high importance will have been executed. It improves the testing efficiency while securing the detection rate of defect. The contribution of this paper is how to generate pair-wise testing cases with a priority. Firstly, We design formulas to compute the weights of priorities. Secondly, we adopt a greed algorithm to solve the combined testing problems. Furthermore, we integrate the greed strategy into a genetic algorithm which makes the most efficient testing in critical parameters and their sets, and ensures its detection rate of defect under limited resources. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1880

Abstract

According to Chinese coal industry standard MT313-1992 and European standard EN 1804-2-2001, using the modern CAE technology, based on the coupling meshing technology of structured grids and unstructured grids, the finite element strength analysis on 360-type double-telescopic prop is carried out under axial 1.5 times, axial 2.0 times rated load and off-center 0.3R 1.1 times rated load. The stability of the prop is studied using the buckling analysis. The results show that without regard to the dynamic load, the prop can bear 2.0 times axial pressure and 1.1 times off-center 0.3R pressure, and the stress distribution is even. Except the guide sleeve-I and the middle cylinder, other parts have high safety coefficient and can be optimized. The critical buckling load coefficient of the prop is 2.764, and the buckling instability of the type of prop will not happen if used under the rated working condition set by Chinese coal industry standard MT313-1992 and European standard EN 1804-2-2001. The paper can provide the basis for setting new related technology standard. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1896

Abstract

In order to solve the amplitude attenuation of electric fast transient (EFT) generator operating in high frequency, the charging and discharging process of energy storage capacitor in EFT generator are analyzed, the main circuit voltage variation mathematical model is established, the parameters of main loop circuit and the parameters of switch driving waveform which affect burst amplitude are discussed. Through the simulation, this paper puts forward effective methods to overcome burst amplitude attenuation in high frequency. The simulation results show that when the frequency is low, the duty ratio of drive signal have little effect on energy storage capacitor voltage amplitude attenuation. when the charging resistance is less than 500 Ω, the duty ratio of drive signal is less than 0.125, the repetition frequency of burst reaches 1.2 MHz, the amplitude attenuation of energy storage capacitor voltage is less than 9%, the amplitude of burst satisfies IEC61000-4-4 standards. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i1.1875
