Abstract

Learning algorithm of neural network is always an important research contents in neural network theory research and application field, learning algorithm about the feed-forward neural network has no satisfactory solution in particular for its defects in calculation speed. The paper presents a new Fourier basis functions neural network algorithm and applied it to classify network trade customer. First, 21 customer classification indicators are designed, based on characteristics and behaviors analysis of network trade customer, including customer characteristics type variables and customer behaviors type variables,; Second, Fourier basis functions is used to improve the calculation flow and algorithm structure of original BP neural network algorithm to speed up its convergence and then a new Fourier basis neural network model is constructed. Finally the experimental results show that the problem of convergence speed can been solved, and the accuracy of the customer classification are ensured when the new algorithm is used in network trade customer classification practically. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.2978

Abstract

In the research on software aging and rejuvenation, one of the most important questions is when to trigger the rejuvenation action. And it is useful to predict the system resource utilization state efficiently for determining the rejuvenation time. In this paper, we propose software aging prediction model based on extreme learning machine (ELM) for a real VOD system. First, the data on the parameters of system resources and application server are collected. Then, the data is preprocessed by normalization and principal component analysis (PCA). Then, ELMs are constructed to model the extracted data series of systematic parameters. Finally, we get the predicted data of system resource by computing the sum of the outputs of these ELMs. Experiments show that the proposed software aging prediction method based on wavelet transform and ELM is superior to the artificial neural network (ANN) and support vector machine (SVM) in the aspects of prediction precision and efficiency. Based on the models employed here, software rejuvenation policies can be triggered by actual measurements. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3495

Abstract

This paper focuses on the task scheduling algorithms based on comprehensive QoS and constraint of expectation. Under the environment of dynamic cloud computing, efficiency improving of task scheduling and load balancing are eternal problems. For users, however, it's more important to meet their requirements of QoS. This paper relates to a benefit-fairness algorithm based on new Berger's model under the environment of dynamic cloud computing. According to the different type of task scheduling, we describe the priority of fairness, efficiency and the Balance between benefit and fairness respectively. We recompile the CloudSim and simulate the three task scheduling algorithms above on the basis of extended CloudSim respectively. The experimental results indicate that this algorithm dose not only meet the principle of giving priority to benefit with due to consideration to fairness, but also meet users' needs of synthesized QoS. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3513

Abstract

Scaling behavior is a extremely typical phenomenon in complex system research, as well as it can act that many Macro indicators in system or distribution function of some variables meet exactly power-law behavior, which possesses different kinds of Exponents. In this article, according to Phase Change concept in Physics, it is researched that the nature in critical state of complex network with Seepage model, and it is totally stated that the basic reason of Self-similar behavior, Fractal behavior, and so on, and also Phase Change in complex network in critical state of complex network in accord with power-law distribution.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3529

Abstract

In the process of NC machining, the optimization processing of graphic layout is a well-studied problem which has practical application value for improving the utilization rate of raw materials and saving the cost of production. In this paper, a new design of genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed for solving this problem. This improved genetic algorithm combines GA with the improved crossover operator and mutation operator. Moreover, the best individual preservation method is integrated into the algorithm. The improved genetic algorithm expands the search space and enhances the GA’s search capabilities. Furthermore, the maximum matching algorithm is proposed based on the lowest horizontal line algorithm, which effectively avoids blind elevating horizontal lines and improves the utilization rate of the lowest horizontal line. It is integrated with the improved genetic algorithm to solve the two-dimensional rectangular parts optimal layout problem which combines the advantages of two kinds of algorithms. The experimental results show that the algorithm can get a good optimization result.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3554

Abstract

On the basis of the research of wavelet transform and digital watermarking technology, this paper proposed a self-adaptive discrete wavelet transform(DWT) digital watermarking algorithm, which can achieve the purpose of embedding hidden watermarks by decompose three-level wavelet of image and decompose bit-plane of watermarking gray scale image by Arnold scrambling transformation. Layer adaptive threshold and quantizer were referenced in this algorithm, and which adaptive selected coefficient of detail subbands of embedded watermarking to improve the robustness of the watermarking. In testing of semi-blind watermarking, renewing of watermarking based on the embedding sequence of point locations and the quantizer sequence without participation of the original image. Experimental results show that the algorithm is effective to improve the robustness of the cut, adding noise, filtering, and compression image attack treatment.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.2761

Abstract

Semantic fusion of multiple data sources and semantic interoperability between heterogeneous systems in distributed environment can be implemented through integrating multiple fuzzy local ontologies. However, ontology merging is one of the valid ways for ontology integration. In order to solve the problem of attributes inconsistency for concept mapping in fuzzy ontology merging system, we present an automatic detection algorithm of inconsistency for the range, number and membership grade of attributes between mapping concepts, and adopt corresponding processing strategy during the fuzzy ontologies merging according to the different types of attributes inconsistency. Experiment results show that with regard to merging accuracy, the fuzzy ontology merging system in which the automatic detection algorithm and processing strategy of attributes inconsistency is embedded is better than those traditional ontology merging systems like GLUE, PROMPT and Chimaera.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i11.3490
