Abstract

A test method was proposed and a measurement system was developed to characterize the compression resilience properties of textiles based on the mechanical device, microelectronics, sensors and control system. Derived from the typical pressure-displacement curve and test data, four indices were defined to characterize the compression performance of textiles. The test principle and the evaluation method for compression resilience of textiles were introduced. Twelve types of textile fabrics with different structural features and made from different textile materials were tested. The one-way ANOVA analysis was carried out to identify the significance of the differences of the evaluation indices among the fabrics. The results show that each index is significantly different among different fabrics. The denim has the maximum compressional resilience and the polar fleece has the minimum compressional resilience. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.1992

Abstract

The design and machining of globoidal cam is difficult, because the shape of working surface is complex, and the curved surface of its space is undevelopable. Based on the above reasons,we proposed the parametric Modeling method for globoidal cam based. Through the secondary development, we realized the parameterized modeling of globoidal cam. Base on using of globular indexing cam NC milling machine existing in the lab, research the programming technology, analyses the defects of conventional programming method, raise improvement measures, control the programming error, modify the feeding speed, develop the special purpose programming software, creat globular indexing cam NC machining program automaticly ,improve the machining precision and efficiency of globular indexing cam. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2027

Abstract

Pedestal looseness and rub-impact are two important faults in rotating machinery. Once the Pedestal looseness is developed in a rotor system, the rotor is more likely to make contact with stator under tight clearance conditions. Due to the presence of both Pedestal looseness and rub-impact, the whole system becomes highly nonlinear and instability. The present study is aimed to simulate a chaotic system of the nonlinear rotor system and the system can adaptively be converted to normal working state under the circumstance of the chaotic state occasioned by outside perturbation for the complicated chaotic system. The nonlinear dynamic equations of rotor-bearing system with coupling faults of pedestal looseness and rub-impact force are derived and a multi-parameter adaptive control algorithm is given. As a result, it is found that those systems possess various nonlinear dynamical inherences. The numerical results also show that the parametric adaptive control method is appropriate to those rotor-bearing systems, outside interference under the state of chaos arising from the situation can be adaptive to adjust to normal working condition. It has strongly control capability of stability. The theoretical and practical idea for controlling rotor–bearing systems and optimizing their operation can be more precise. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2054

Abstract

Flatness is a very important shape and position of plane surface error and has great influence on the operating function of the work-piece. The traditional measurement methods of flatness can not be satisfied with the real-time requirement, and the uncertainty of flatness is not easy to be evaluated either. So a new method is proposed based on Geometrical product specification (GPS) standard-chain. That is: the coordinate value of small work-piece is occurred by portable Coordinate Measure Machine (CMM), the flatness is calculated from these coordinates using least-square arithmetic, and the uncertainty of flatness is estimated by the experimental matrix. The qualified products are separated by the tolerance and the agreement of supply and demand sides, and all the results are shown in an interface in real-time. Random inspection shows that this method can realize to pick the rejects online, increase the measurement efficiency, and decrease the probability of misconstruction. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2083

Abstract

The articulated arm coordinate measuring machine (AACMM) is a new type coordinate measuring machine (CMM) base on the linkage structure. The kinematic model of a 6-DOF AACMM with DH method was established, and from the kinematic model the coordinate systems and joint structural parameters of the AACMM are obtained. The Jacobian matrix was deduced by differential transformation from the kinematic model of the AACMM, and according to the Jacobian matrix, the error transfer coefficients of the joint structural parameters were calculated. Then with the calculation results the influence of the joint structural parameters on the measuring accuracy of the AACMM was analyzed, which provides a theoretical basis for calibration, tolerance distribution of the joint parts and components' selection of the AACMM. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.1987

Abstract

A 4 GHz PLL (phase-locked loop)-type frequency synthesizer has been implemented in the standard 0.18μm mixed-signal and RF 1P6M CMOS technology. It integrates a VCO, a dual-modulus prescaler, PFD, a charge pump, a control logic, various digital counters and digital registers onto a single chip. With the help of the linear model of the loop, the design and optimization of the loop parameters are discussed in detailed. The measured results show that the locked range was 4096-4288 MHz and the phase noise could reach -117 dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset from the carrier 4.154 GHz, the output power is about -3 dBm. The chip area is 0.675 mm×0.700 mm. The DC power consumption of the core part is about 24 mW under 1.8 V supply. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2003

Abstract

This paper takes the permanent magnet servo motor-driven hydraulic system as the research object. The hydraulic system power source uses servo motor instead of the original asynchronous motor, becoming a new energy-saving, fast response, and easy to realize closed-loop control hydraulic power systems. Aiming at variability of the load for the hydraulic system, immune algorithm is introduced to incremental PID controller and derive control law. Using fuzzy strategy approximating antibodies inhibit adjustment function to enhance the stability and robustness of the system, and designing fuzzy immune PID controller, parameters of controller are self-optimized by particle swarm (PSO) algorithm. This controller is applied to a hydraulic system, and achieved the precise control of the system flow in a variety of typical conditions. Simulation results show that: the controller can immune modulate automatically according to the dynamic changes of load of the hydraulic system, with fast tracking, small overshoot, and strong robustness advantages. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2048

Abstract

To deliver a Mars entry vehicle to the prescribed parachute deployment point, active entry guidance is essential. This paper addresses the problem of Mars atmospheric entry guidance through drag tracking method with extended high gain observer. First, an extended high gain observer combined with feedback linearization is applied in drag tracking for Mars entry longitudinal guidance.  The observer estimates the drag and drag rate for drag tracking, estimates the perturbation due to model uncertainty and disturbance, and compensate for the perturbation by canceling its estimate. Then, bank reversal is adopted in the lateral plane to reduce the cross-range error. Finally, Mars entry simulation is performed to assess the performance of the adaptive guidance law. The results demonstrate that the proposed guidance law exhibits good performance. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.1998

Abstract

The regenerative braking technology is widely applied in high-speed electric multiple units (EMUs). And the voltage rise problem at end of the traction network would be caused by regenerative braking attracts more and more attention. The arm of this paper is to analyze the power flow calculation for EMUs under regenerative braking condition. Power flow calculation was done for two different EMU operation conditions by using a “locomotive-traction network” coupling model. In this model, a constant power load model on an all-parallel AT network multi-conductor chain circuit model is considerable. The simulation analysis shows that the iterative calculation method used in the present study is characterized by fast convergence and high accuracy, and is suitable to power flow calculation for traction networks under the braking condition and traction condition. It can be used to analyze voltage distribution, and the impact of traction load on power quality of the public power grid, etc. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i2.2033
