Abstract

Protection against geometric distortions and common image processing operations becomes a much challenging task in image watermarking. To achieve this, a novel watermarking algorithm based on Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) was presented for digital image copyright protection. By introducing the SURF’s key points matching and geometric distortion estimation, the attacked watermarked image could be corrected and the watermark synchronization was realized. In this way, the feature regions of the host image, which were used for information hiding, could be correctly detected by the improved Harris-Laplace corner detector even after signal processing and geometric attacks. Finally, the watermark information were embedded into the U matrix of SVD of the host image. The application of the proposed scheme makes the watermark capable of transparent hiding. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our technique performs better than traditional methods under different attacks. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2305

Abstract

In this paper we provide a new digital video steganalysis algorithm.  When frames of the cover video are embedded with secret messages, both number of connected component and number of holes will change dramatically, thus Euler number of the stego-frame will has pulsing increase. This proposed steganalysis algorithm is applied to stego-video, estimating steganographic algorithm for frames chosen and estimating steganographic capacity. Experimental results indicate that it’s much simpler and faster, more sensitive and robust, steganography rate as small as 0.0154% can be reliably detected. It’s effective and efficient to detect any format video, because this algorithm is only correlated with the connected components number and holes number of the frames. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.1971

Abstract

Sensor Network Composition is a new area involving important technological need. Some of the main difficulties are to correctly describe Interaction Framework and Complexity of Sensor Network Systems. Abstract interaction logic can be seen as a new technique for representing fuzzy Complexity mechanism. In this paper, we have presented a solution to use Complexity of Sensor Network Systems in Sensor Network analysis. We have proposed methods for analyzing Sensor Network based on an abstract interaction definition. The user’s logics are formalized as abstract concepts. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2175

Abstract

With the theory of AC adjustable speed as well as a new control theory research is unceasingly thorough, the permanent magnet synchronous motor control system requires high precision of control and high reliability of the occasion, access to a wide range of applications, in the modern AC motor has play a decisive role position. Based on the deep research on the feedback linearization technique based on, by choosing appropriate state transformation and control transform, PMSM model input output linearization, and the design of the feedback linearization controller, realized PMSM decoupling control based on Matlab, and PMSM feedback linearization control system simulation. The simulation results show that, the system in a certain range of speed than the traditional PI controller has better control performance, but to the parameter variation has strong sensitivity. It also determines the direction for future research. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2192

Abstract

There are many thorny problems in our country, such as the security of sea lanes. To deal with these problems, China needs to develop sophisticated naval force, and warship industry is the key factor to improve Chinese navy. Chinese warship industrial capacity is evaluated by using the assessment system. According to the results and existing researches, strategies for improving Chinese shipbuilding industry capability is built from five aspects. It is the reference to strengthen Chinese warship industrial capacity, improve navy’s core competence, thus secure Chinese territory and marine economy. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2216

Abstract

Since wireless sensor networks (WSN for short) are often deployed in hostile environments in many applications, security becomes one of the critical issues in WSN. Moreover, due to the limitation of the sensor nodes, traditional key management schemes are not suitable for it. Thereby,a feasible and efficient key management scheme is an important guarantee for WSN to communicate securely. For the moment, many protocols have been proposed and each has its own advantages. However, these protocols cannot provide sufficient security in many cases, such as node capture attack, which makes WSN more vulnerable than traditional wireless networks. Key protection and revocation issues must be considered with special attention in WSN. To address these two issues, we propose a dynamically clustering key management scheme based on secret sharing for WSN. The scheme combined the hierarchical structure of wireless sensor networks with dynamic key management scheme. The analysis results show that the scheme has strong security and resistance of captured attack, as well as low communicational overhead, and it well meets the requirement of scalability. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2300

Abstract

Applying the principle in which new information should be used fully and modeling method of Grey system for the problem of lower precision as well as lower adaptability in non-equidistant multivariable MGM(1,n)model, taking the mean relative error as objective function, and taking the modified values of response function initial value as design variables, based on accumulated generating operation of reciprocal number, a non-equidistant multivariable new information optimization MGRM(1,n) model was put forward which was taken the mth component as the initialization. Based on index characteristic of grey model, the characteristic of integral and new information principle, the new information background value in non-equidistant multivariable new information optimization MGRM(1,n) was researched and the discrete function with non-homogeneous exponential law was used to fit the accumulated sequence and the formula of new information background value was given. The new information optimization MGRM(1,n) model can be used in non-equal interval & equal interval time series and has the characteristic of high precision as well as high adaptability. Example validates the practicability and reliability of the proposed model. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2187

Abstract

This paper presents medium access control (MAC) protocol designed for embedded sensor networks. I start with a protocol called MACAW, RTS-CTS-DS-DATA data packet exchange. Then I analyze the properties of some MAC protocols, including S-MAC, B-MAC and IEEE 802.15.4. According to the understanding of S-MAC, some advantages are summarized, such as energy saving, latency reduction, etc. however, there are still some disadvantages, including data packet lost, unfairness, synchronization. And then the similarities and differences between them are discussed. S-MAC is a novel technique to reduce energy consumption, but B-MAC is more efficient with long preamble. Using long preamble, B-MAC achieves collision avoidance and high channel utilization rate. B-MAC can minimize idle listening, but it needs bi-directional communication. Finally, the paper presents B-MAC design process and implementation result on MSP430. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2211

Abstract

The reliability of the gas turbine depends on the technical status and the maintenance level of the hot-end components in a large part. The three main factors influencing on the service life of the hot-end components of the gas turbine were analyzed first. On this basis, various common service life assessment methods for gas turbine were discussed in detail.Aiming at the features of the M701F gas-steam combined cycle unit in Huizhou LNG power plant,a gas turbine life assessment method based on equivalent operation time analysis was put forward. The calculation result of an example shows that the equivalent operation time analysis method is a simple and practical assessment method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i3.2229
