Abstract

Through small scale model laboratory experiments, the article proves that the effect of pile and soil work together of Push-extend Multi-under-reamed Pile under compression, and identifies failure modes and failure principle of soil around the pile, and for further determining ultimate bearing capacity of soil under compressive state about the Push-extend Multi-under-reamed Pile, it provides a reliable foundation. At the same time, this article provides a new method for laboratory test, which calls small scale model laboratory experiments used for research about soil body failure states of pile foundation. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2377

Abstract

In the actual control, complete differential digital PID algorithms have been widely used. But the differential will amplify high-frequency noise. If the differential response is too sensitive, it is easy to cause the control process oscillation, incomplete PID control algorithms can overcome the differential oscillation. Incomplete derivative PID algorithm combined with neural network improves the system control quality, it has the important practical significance. The simulation shows it has good position tracking performance and high robustness. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2392

Abstract

Reasonable income distribution for expressway network tolling plays a positive role in attracting investors and social funds to accelerate expressway construction and development. Influence factors of the income distribution problem for expressway network tolling were analyzed and the income distribution process of expressway network tolling was further viewed as a bargaining game in the paper. Then, an income distribution model based on bargaining game for expressway network tolling was proposed to increase the return rates for expressway investors and further mobilize their enthusiasm for expressway investment. Finally, we proposed one numerical example for the income distribution problem with the help of such game model. Also, The results demonstrated that the precedence investors with much more optimistic attitudes to expressway investment could share much more from expressway network tolling, and also the traffic volume distribution compensation from the government in an opened or hidden way further could enhance investors’ enthusiasm for the expressway investment with certain low discount rates. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2541

Abstract

We study the problem of formation control and trajectory tracking for multiple nonholonomic mobile robots with actuator and formation dynamics. An adaptive neural-network (NN) control strategy that integrated kinematic controller with input voltages controller of actuator was proposed. A control law was designed by backstepping technique based on separation-bearing formation control structure of leader-follower. The radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) was adopted to achieve on-line estimation for the dynamics nonlinear uncertain part for follower and leader robots. The adaptive robust controller was adopted to compensate modeling errors of NN. This strategy not only overcomed all kinds of uncertainties of mobile robots, but also ensured the desired trajectory tracking of robot formation in the case of maintaining formation. The stability and convergence of the control system were proved by using the Lyapunov theory. The simulation results showed the effectiveness of this proposed method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2334

Abstract

The exploitation of the semantic relatedness kernel has always been an appealing subject in the context of text retrieval and information management. Typically, in text classification the documents are represented in the vector space using the bag-of-words (BOW) approach. The BOW approach does not take into account the semantic relatedness information. To further improve the text classification performance, this paper presents a new semantic-based kernel of support vector machine algorithm for text classification. This method firstly using CHI method to select document feature vectors, secondly calculates the feature vector weights using TF-IDF method, and utilizes the semantic relatedness kernel which involves the semantic similarity computation and semantic relevance computation to classify the document using support vector machines. Experimental results show that compared with the traditional support vector machine algorithm, the algorithm in the text classification achieves improved classification F1-measure. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2361

Abstract

In view of the requests of the sterilization device of the fruit and vegetable that integrate cleaning and juicing together, and combined with the electromagnetic theory and the cold sterilization technology which is in common use in modern food industry, circuits are designed for the pulsed magnetic field sterilization device of the integrated machine .This circuits chose a linear solenoid in which r= 30mm, l= 200 mm. The experiment shows that the pulsed magnetic field produced by the device can achieve a better effect in killing bacillus coli, beer yeast and staphylococcus aurous, etc. Compared with the traditional sterilization device, the bactericidal effect of the pulsed magnetic field sterilization device is more obvious so that it will be the direction of the development of food equipments. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2388

Abstract

A combined model which adopted thought of weight scale method in load forecasting to remedy such defect was proposed according to the shortcomings of traditional load forecasting combined model. Adopting the logarithmic least square algorithm to get the weight of single forecasting model by using the relationship between scale judgment matrix and weight matrix, the new model could give out forecasting result through creating such scale judgment matrix and weight matrix. The theory and implementation details of new model are presented, calculating and application in practice power grid proves the model has the ability to improve load forecasting precision effectively compared with single forecasting model and traditional combined model. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2403

Abstract

Due to the unique characteristics of underwater sensor network (UWSN), conventional network protocols for terrestrial WSN are unable to satisfy the performance of UWSN. In addition, the limits of energy, CPU and memory of UWSN nodes demand the protocol stack running on them should be simple and efficient. The paper proposed a Micro-ANP protocol architecture model for UWSN, which are three layered including application layer, network-transport layer and physical layer, optimized packet size using three objective functions: packet throughput, energy consumption and resource consumption under Micro-ANP architecture by means of MATLAB, designed and implemented UWSN simulation platform based on Micro-ANP and QualNet software, lay a solid foundation for further research on underwater sensor network. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2328

Abstract

The deformable UAV has the advantage over the traditional fixed-wing aircraft in expanding the flight envelope. In this paper, a folding wing mechanism is designed to meet the accurate angle control requirement. Accordingly, an angle measurement method based on MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) accelerometers is studied. The accurate folding angle in any condition can be derived from analysis of the folding wing’s acceleration in different positions, upon which the fuzzy control law of the wing’s folding angle is proposed. Finally, the validity and accuracy of the algorithm is verified with experiment. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2345

Abstract

A novel and efficient approach for multicomponent chirp-like jammer excision in direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) communication systems using Hilbert-Huang Hough (HH-H) transform is proposed, which is the generalization of marginal Hilbert spectrum. The approach iteratively decomposes the received signal into intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) and applies Hilbert transform to each IMF to yield Hilbert spectrum (HS), by which the embedded jammers can be well concentrated in the time-frequency plane along their instantaneous frequency laws. By performing Hough transform over the HS and searching peaks in the parameter space, parameters estimation and components reconstruction of the multicomponent chirp-like jammer are implememted. Simulation results are presented showing performance comparison between the proposed method and the fractional Fourier transform (FrFT) based method in the case of two chirp-like jammer components. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i4.2372
