Abstract

To develop the effective aerospace telemetry communication system, for aerospace telemetry communication requirements high-speed, high bandwidth, high efficiency and low interference, puts forward the C-WQPSK(C-W Quadrate Phase- Shift Keying)modulation method. This method based on direct carrier QPSK, didn’t consider baseband pulse signal, and redesigned the modulating waveform, its phase angle jump and jump to change duration time all can be changed. Also it gives the C-WQPSK performance and theory analysis, and with QPSK, FQPSK the performance comparison, Through the MATLAB simulation experiment, verify this modulation method is correctness and effectiveness. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2458

Abstract

The articulated arm coordinate measuring machine (AACMM) is a kind of new coordinate measuring device based on non-Cartesian system. The measuring accuracy of the AACMM can be effectively improved by parameter identification. However, some of the structural parameters are coupling (linearly related), so the structural parameters usually cannot be identified correctly. The Jacobian matrix was obtained through differential transformation of the kinematic model of a 6-DOF AACMM. The rank calculation results show that the Jacobian matrix is not full rank, which means some structural parameters are linearly related. Singular value decomposition and the elementary row transform of the Jacobian matrix were carried out to determine the linearly related structural parameters. And two pairs of structural parameters were found to be linearly related, which can’t be identified at the same time. Finally, the linear correlation was applied in the structural parameters identification, and the results show that the linear correlation can make the identification obtain correct structural parameters. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2474

Abstract

The algorithm for obtaining the discrete response of popagation function for frequency dependent parameter line is presented. Consider a minimum sampling period Tsm, that is, the highest frequency fH=1/(2Tsm) in the signal is taken into account. The impedance z(w) and the admittance y(w) are obtained in the frequency range of [0,fH] by employing the Carson’s formula. The propagation function at each frequency point is subsequently obtained, the impulse response in discrete time domain is then obtained using Poision Sum Formula. In order to avoid the long length of impulse reponse under the higher sampling frequency, the poles and zeros of z transform of discrete propagation function are evaluated by the Prony’s method. Subsequently, the coeffcients of the discrete infinite impulse response of propagation function are obtained. Using these coefficients the wave transfer sources can be easily computed by discrete convolution operation. The simulation tests show that the results using the propsed method is accurate, the error is not more than 1% in contrast of the results generated by EMTP. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2491

Abstract

In computer vision, object detection is an essential process for further processes such as object tracking, analyzing and so on. In the same context, extraction features play important role to detect the object correctly. In this paper we present a method to extract local features based on interest point which is used to detect key-points within an image, then, compute histogram of gradient (HOG) for the region surround that point. Proposed method used speed-up robust feature (SURF) method as interest point detector and exclude the descriptor. The new descriptor is computed by using HOG method. The proposed method got advantages of both mentioned methods. To evaluate the proposed method, we used well-known dataset which is Caltech101. The initial result is encouraging in spite of using a small data for training. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2508

Abstract

Stone products' processing technologies, processes and types have essential differences with metal's, which makes the traditional machine design method can not perform well in the design of processing equipment for special shaped stones. A new design method was used in this paper, which through the establishment of stone typical products and tool mathematical model. The needs of the motion axes was solved by kinematics equations application and the feasible design scheme of the machine tool's function was established. Thus, a new turn-milling combined NC machine tools, which have 8 movement axis and Double 5 axis linkage processing function is designed. Its modular structure design can meet the needs of the most stone material processing.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2560

Abstract

There are more problems of network data transmission in multi-loop NCS than in single loop NCS. It maybe lead to that one or more of closed-loop systems become unstable in multi-loop NCS. In order to solve this problem, a novel algorithm of fuzzy dynamic scheduling for multi-loop NCS is put forward in this paper. Firstly, the requirement of the sampling period of NCS is discussed. The necessity of dynamic scheduling for multi-loop NCS is analyzed. And then, the algorithm of fuzzy dynamic scheduling for multi-loop NCS is proposed. The idea is described form three parts. The principle of fuzzy dynamic scheduling is analyzed. The fuzzy controller is designed. The fuzzy dynamic scheduler is constructed. Finally, the simulation model of a multi-loop NCS with fuzzy dynamic scheduler is set up using TrueTime software. The relevant analysis of simulation is given. The result of study can prove that the performance of each closed control loop based on the same network platform is improved by adding fuzzy dynamic scheduler in the multi-loop NCS. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2453

Abstract

The orthogonal space-time coded continuous phase modulation (OST-CPM) system shows attractive performance over fading MIMO channels. In this paper, the Chernoff bound on pair-wise error probability (PWEP) is studied for two transmit antennas over spatially correlated quasi-static Rayleigh-fading channel. The maximum likelihood sequence detection (MLSD) algorithm is applied to the OST-CPM system. Approximate bound for high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is derived to evaluate the encoding performance in correlated channel. The effects of correlation coefficient matrices on the coding performance are simulated. Both analytical and simulation results show that the coding performance of this system decreases as the fading coefficients between the antennas increases. And the penalty on the coding performance increases a lot in fully correlated channel. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2469

Abstract

Soldiers’ group behaviors are a class of flocking behaviors in which a squad of soldiers march forward according to a specified formation and try to keep it when encountering narrow corridors. It has a leading application in deterring the behavior and activities of a potentially hostile crowd and bringing a mob engaged in a riot under control in social stable maintenance. In this paper, we focus on investigating soldier’s group behaviors based on an improved MAPRM algorithm. Firstly, we use MAPRM algorithm to sample configurations from the medial axis of the simulation space. Secondly, in the construction and query phase of MAPRM, clearance information of the space is introduced to local planner and used as heuristic information to A* algorithm which improves the MAPRM algorithm. Thirdly, when the soldiers pass through narrow corridors, their formation transitions are achieved by sampling the desired formation shape. The simulation results show that our approach is effective and feasible. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2485

Abstract

A droplet-droplet microextraction enhanced by two surface acoustic waves in opposite propagation directions is proposed. A 2×2 interdigital transducer array with 27.5MHz center frequency was fabricated on a 1280 yx-LiNbO3 piezoelectric substrate using micro-electric technology. Two surface acoustic waves in opposite propagation direction were generated when a RF signal was applied to diagonal interdigital transducers. The movement of extractive matter particles within microextraction solution was accelerated due to the radiation of the surface acoustic waves. Then, the mass transfer between two phases was enhanced. An ionic liquid and an organic dye (acid green-25) solution were used for extraction experiments. Results show that the extraction was greatly enhanced by two surface acoustic waves in opposite propagation directional, and almost finished within 160 seconds when the RF signal power was 27.8dBm.The stability of microextraction solution was also improved due to the two opposite surface acoustic waves. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i5.2502
