Abstract

Railway digital radio system, GSM-R, is a dedicated system for railway based on GSM system, which shoulders the demand of dedicated dispatching communication for railway. So it is extremely important to research the data transmission of GSM-R. In this paper, a data transmission method has been proposed, based on the actual measurement report of GSM-R and a prediction algorithm, in analyzing the relationship between Measurement Report and Transmission Interference through visualization method by using the data mining instruments. The simulation results prove that the probability of data being interrupted and retransmitted can be decreased by using this method. At the same time, a teaching platform is established for analyzing the actual test data and the simulation in high-speed railway system, which can contribute to the theoretical research and the teaching. Abstract

Sinusoidal signal can be used as stimulus to test static and dynamic parameters of ADC. A sigma-delta modulation based sinusoidal signal generator for ADC testing in SOC was introduced. The generator was built on the same chip with ADC. A numerical resonator generated a sinusoidal signal which was converted to a single bitstream by a sigma-delta modulator. Due to oversampling, the quantization noise was pushed to high frequency range. A high-quality sinusoidal signal was generated by low-pass filtering the bitstream. The sigma-delta modulator was inserted into the resonator to decrease silicon area overhead and calculate time. A cascaded integrator comb decimation filter was used as the low-pass filter. The amplitude and frequency of the output sinusoidal signal could be accuratly set by digital parameter of the generator to meet the requirement of static and dynamic performances testing. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i7.2818

Abstract

The shadow of diffraction, which account for the growth of trees based on wireless sensors and automatic acquisition of environmental information, were presented to meet the requirements for a wireless sensor network in a forest.  there’s a necessity to avoid the dead zone of signal diffraction when laying wireless sensor in the forest, the integration of SBR and UTD is applied to study the impact of 2.4GHz radio-frequency signal on the path loss characteristics in the forest. Shadow fading is studied by considering random variations of trees height and position. Path loss to subscribers located in a forest are found using refraction and diffraction concepts. This paper achieved the ray location from the receive pint to field point by using back-ray tracing method and computed the response electric field relative to each ray by using UTD. This article presents an overview of popular prediction models and describes electric field algorithms that are based on the authors' experience, to improve their accuracy.  Take the poplar planted forest for instance. The measured value and simulated value were compared, finding good consistency between them, which indicates that SBR and UTD can effectively predict the path loss characteristics in the forest. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i7.2833

Abstract

With the speedy interaction and spread of the network information, it is great significance to collect emerging massive internet information and discover hotspots of network public opinion. The paper presents a new model for evaluating internet public opinions based on improved BP neural network. First, a new evaluation indicator system containing 4 hierarchies and 26 third-grade indicators is designed based on the characteristics analysis of internet public opinions. Second, a new internet public opinion evaluation model is presented using genetic algorithm to speed up the convergence and simplify the model structure of the model, and the calculation steps of the model are designed. Finally the experimental results verify that the effectiveness and validity of the model can be guaranteed when used for evaluating internet public opinions practically. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i7.2850

Abstract

 This paper proposes a data security protection strategy of the SaaS mode -the SLA based SaaS Security Level. At the same time, it gives concept model and implementation architecture of the security scheme which based on the SaaS Security Level. The SLA based SaaS Security Level takes the requirements of tenants to the data security as a starting point, and it mainly relates to data security of the data center, data security of the servers and data security of the clients. This Security Level can better meet diversified users needs than the traditional security model. According to the tenants desired service number and the protection degree of data information, they can dynamically select different levels of the security strategies. Then, according to the dynamic changes of SLA, the SaaS vendors can adjust data protection strategy of the user timely. For supporting our SaaS Security Level, we build SSM (SaaS Security Model) test-bed. On the SSM test-bed, we have done some experiments, which confirmed our SaaS Security Level is feasible and easy to use. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i7.2870
