Abstract

In daily life, lots of work need people maintain higher attention or vigilance. In the early study of vigilance, blink frequency, the impedance of skin, body temperature and blood pressure and other physiological signals was used to estimate the vigilance. EEG signal can more directly reflect the brain's activity than other physiological signals, and EEG signal have a higher time resolution. In this paper, ERP component and different frequencies of EEG were used to analyze the alert state, according to this study, in the ERP components, N170 can be a good representation of the degree of fatigue of the subject; Through the 10 subjects EEG frequency distribution analysis, and according to the formula defined in this paper, the vigilance degree of this ten subjects was calculated. DOI:  http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3298

Abstract

In this paper, we have proposed a network invulnerability assessment technique based on the entropy of node importance (ENI) determined by the node betweenness combined with node degree, which can measure the network invulnerability dynamically. Simulation results show that the ENI network entropy can accurately change its values as the network nodes removed deliberately or randomly from the network, and ENI can estimate the network invulnerability accurately, as well as can reflect the damage degree of the network according to network entropy. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.2966

Abstract

It can’t be ignored that the impact of distribution network to the static voltage stability of the distributed generation. In this paper, we first introduce the stability indices of the traditional grid on static voltage and the analytical method, in the mean time, we put forward the corresponding advantages and disadvantages and applicable scope. Then, we present a summary of the current research on the impact of distribution network to the static voltage stability of the distributed generation at home and abroad from the two aspects of the static voltage stability indices and analytical methods. In the end, the paper points out a new way to improve the distribution network static voltage stability that with the consistency theory to achieve coordinated control of distributed generation, microgrid, as well as virtual power plants, which will be more advantage. This article has a reference value for the analysis of the impact of distributed generation on static voltage stability of the distribution network, as well as researches the measures to improve the static stability. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.2255

Abstract

Comprehensive evaluation of PE teaching is always one the of difficulties of teaching management for universities; This paper, on the basis of analyzing the fuzzy features of teaching evaluation, puts forward fuzzy evaluation model of PE teaching. The model first discards the defects of traditional evaluation methods which always neglect the specific characteristics of PE teaching, instead, takes teaching objectives and results as orientation, designs new comprehensive evaluation indicators for PE teaching; Second, analytic hierarchy process and multivariate fuzzy evaluation method are used to build the evaluation model for PE teaching through building membership function and comprehensive evaluation matrix of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation; Finally, the model is realized by the data from three universities to carry out comprehensive evaluation on PE course and the experimental results indicate that the presented model has satisfied application results in evaluation accuracy and time consumption compared with traditional methods. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3259

Abstract

In this paper, an approach based on the particle swarm optimization is used to optimize the workspace and global stiffness of the 3UPU mechanism simultaneously due to the fact that the workspace is affected while optimizing the stiffness of the mechanism and vice versa. When optimizing one particular performance, one needs to have an objective function. Here the workspace volume of the mechanism is used as an objective function to evaluate the workspace performance of the mechanism. The leading diagonal elements of the stiffness matrix represent pure stiffness in each direction, but this stiffness changes when the moving platform position changes. We call this stiffness as local stiffness. When using the local stiffness as an objective function for stiffness optimization, it can only represent the stiffness in one particular position. Here the global stiffness of the mechanism is used as an objective function to optimize the stiffness of the mechanism. The global stiffness represents mean stiffness over the workspace. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3276

Abstract

FBS model proposed three levels of abstraction (function, behavior, structure) and eight design stages used to describe the design. The model becomes the basis of many computer-aided design practices. In this paper, based on FBS model, behavior flow ontology conception is proposed, and the conception can describe the dynamic and continuous of behavior of products more accurately .The behavior flow mechanism extends to structure layer too. Spatial sequence is the exhibition of behavior flow in the structure layer. This paper analyzes the relationship between behavior flow and spatial sequence, and the relationship between spatial sequence and function. A model to express the spatial sequence of behavior flow is proposed, by dividing spatial sequence into two parts, spatial connection relation of product and spatial state transition process. Spatial connection relation is the description of the product composition, expressed by spatial semantic network; the spatial state transition process of behavior flow is the process to realize the function, expressed by spatial state transition Petri net of behavior flow. Spatial sequence of behavior flow of engine is represented by this model as an example. Finally, a conceptual design framework based on behavior flow is proposed as the further research direction. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3310

Abstract

Estimation of the power/energy losses constitutes an important tool for an efficient planning and operation of electric distribution systems, especially in a free energy market environment. For further development of plans of energy loss reduction and for determination of the implementation priorities of different measures and investment projects, analysis of the nature and reasons of losses in the system and in its different parts is needed. In the paper, an efficient method concerning the power flow problem of medium voltage distribution networks, under condition of lack of information about the nodal loads, is presented. Using this method it can obtain the power/energy losses in power transformers and the lines. The test results, obtained for a 20 kV real distribution network from Romania, confirmed the validity of the proposed method. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.2889

Abstract

The electronic charging of mine dust can cause coal-dust explosion and increase the risk of pneumoconiosis, so it is necessary to take more attention to the study of its electronic charging properties. The mechanism of electronic charging of coal mine dust was investigated in this paper. It was found that the formation and polarity of dust are determined by the energy band structure and of the two contacting sides; then a mathematical model of work function is established in mesoscopic level. The experiments conclude that the work function decreases with the particle size for the dust with same properties, moreover large particles are positively charged and small particles are negatively charged. Finally, the experimental verification of the main particles charged model drive unipolar and bipolar charged modes and confirm the correctness of microstructure and mesoscopic analyses, which furthermore lay the foundation for further research. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3237

Abstract

Traditional current differential protection is based on Kirchhoff’s Law, certainly is severely influenced by the distributed capacitance current. A new traveling wave based differential protective principle is proposed by employing the characteristics of current traveling waves for the distributed parameter line model. There are fixed propagation relations between traveling waves of terminals as the line is healthy or the fault is external, however, the relationship is broken for the internal faults. The protective criterion and scheme are established by this character. The key technique is to quickly calculate the propagating traveling waves from the other terminal on line. The coefficients of propagation function from one terminal to another are obtained by using orthogonal projection methods. The principle and algorithm need not high sampling frequency, are adaptive for not only fundamental component but the transient components, as well as is not sensitive to setting parameters. The large amounts of ATP simulation tests show that the protective scheme and algorithm is simple with high reliability, security, speedy and sensitivity. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3254
