Abstract

During the process of signal testing, often exposed to interference and influence of all kinds of noise signal, such as data collection and transmission and so may introduce noise. So in practical applications, before analysis of the data measured, the need for de-noising processing. The signal de-noising is a method for filtering the high frequency  noise of the signal and makes the signal more precise. This paper deals with the general theory of wavelet transform, the application of wavelet transform in signal de-noising as well as the analysis of the characteristics of noise-polluted signa1. Matlab is used to be carried out the simu1ation where the different wavelet and different threshold of the same wavelet for signal de-noising are applied. An indicator of wavelet de-noising is presented , it is the indicator of smoothness. Through analysis of the experiment , considered MSE , SNR and smoothness , it can be a good way to evaluate the equality of wavelet de-noising. The results show that the wavelet transform can achieve excellent results in signal de-noising. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3260

Abstract

In the age of big data, information mining technology has undergone tremendous change; traditional forecasting mining technology has not been able to solve the information mining problems under a large scale of data. this paper put forward a modeling mechanism of information analysis and mining under the age of big data, the modeling mechanism is, first, construct the model of task decomposition of information by MapReduce tool, then, make data preprocessing and mining operation according to the single task data sheet, use mathematical model, artificial intelligence and other methods to construct the new ideas of information analysis and data mining under the age of big data, finally, a case study presented to demonstrate the feasibility and rationality of our approach. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3278

Abstract

Variable flow water system has played an important role in the field of energy saving with the Electronic Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) widely used in practical projects. How to control the frequency converter to work properly is an essential issue which we must first emphatically solve. The control technology of frequency converter is closely related to characteristics of pumps. Based on the mathmatical a model of pumps with or without inverters, the article discusses some issues in detail, such as inverters configuration, flow rate regulation and overload. These are key issues of control technology of variable flow water system. For those multiple-pump water systems, the engineers may select synchronous frequency conversion control technology or Add-Sub pumps control technology to achieve the maximum energy-saving benefits. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3294

Abstract

Multi-user and multi-business lead to dense deployment relay stations in the relay-assisted cellular system. When active relay stations exceed actual needs, decreasing the network energy efficiency has direct correlation with web users, business, distribution and other parameters. In the case that satisfying requirements of service quality, such as delay and rate are satisfied, this paper mainly research on how to dynamically adjust the activation time and the number of relay stations according to the location of relay stations in the networks. In the meantime, we research on improving the efficiency of system energy and resource matching through the data forwarding of relay stations which have been activated. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.2925

Abstract

As the 750kV substation has the characteristics like timing inconsistency, dual protection configuration and uncertain diagnosis result, a fault diagnosis method of substation with redundant protection configuration based on time sequence fuzzy Petri nets is proposed. In this method, redundant knowledge about fault component is represented by using two sets of protective information. On that basis, component redundant diagnosis-model based on time sequence fuzzy Petri net is constructed, which can be decomposed into main and redundant subnet-model, in which initial-information credibility is determined by using information-entropy, the time sequence constraint is checked and initial-information credibility is corrected by using the relationship between acted protection and breaker. Compared with fuzzy Petri net diagnosis method taking no account of time sequence factor, the proposed method can not only identify the malfunction information, but also obtain a certain result. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.2528

Abstract

According to problems such as low accuracy, high error in the shearer body position, this paper proposes a new computational method combining with the information of shearer, scraper conveyor and hydraulic support in order to realize three machine positioning. Using the sensor information and static-dynamic fusion, this paper solves positioning problem of the three-dimensional in the process of the shearer movement, and derive the relevant formula. Through the laboratory simulation experiment and industrial field experiments of Xi'an Coal Mining Machinery Co., Ltd show that this system can effectively improve the precision and stability of the fuselage orientation, so as to provide security for realizing the memory of shearer cutting and remote control. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3239

Abstract

In order to achieve high-precision clock synchronization among instrument nodes in distributed LXI bus test systems. A Hardware time stamping method for PTP messages is introduced in this paper. It is implemented in Linux systems, which runs on ARM9 S3C2440 processor. The special PHYTER DP83640 is used to mark the time of PTP messages in physical layer. The new socket option SO_TIMESTAMPING is used to obtain the hardware timestamps in user space programming. A clock synchronization test has been done after transplanting the open source protocol software PTPd on this platform. The results indicate that this method is feasible. It is able to achieve nanosecond level clock synchronization accuracy. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3255

Abstract

In order to eliminate the ambiguity in semantic understandings during the retrieval of the users, as well as mining the relationship between the concept of agricultural knowledge, the association of knowledge among heterogeneous databases needs to be set up, which enable users to discover useful knowledge clues, and gradually form solution for the ultimate question. Based on the characteristics of agricultural knowledge and the achievements of knowledge grid research, with a combination of traditional agricultural thesauri and ontology technology, the agricultural knowledge grid was constructed with the resource layer, semantic layer and user level. It has been applied for semantic extension on retrieval, knowledge links, and knowledge reasoning diagnosis. It gains some achievements, which provide technical support and experience for the deeply agricultural knowledge services. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3272

Abstract

Collecting Lingwu long jujubes’ growth characteristics and identifying maturity compared with growth model are important factors in automatic image monitoring system for fruit maturity. To segment and extract regions of Lingwu long jujubes’ against nature scenes in digital images is the key to image recognition. Color space transformation, is used to transform RGB color space to CIE L*a*b* color space, analyze characteristics of three-dimension histogram of each component and increase target display properties by using each component’s point operation. Also, the image pixel threshold segmentation method of each component is proposed; then the target image can be obtained by mathematical morphological and logical operation of the extracted image. 50 images of Lingwu long Jujubes are utilized to compare segmentation results of algorithm with those of manual segmentation method. Comparison results show that the proposed segmentation algorithm can be effectively applied to extracting Lingwu long jujubes’ images against nature scenes, and its accuracy has reached 92.6%.This algorithm has decreased the segmentation error caused by image noise while extracting targets which has strong robustness to the color distribution fluctuation as well. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3289

Abstract

Virtual instrumentation is defined as the combination of measurement and control hardware and application software with industry-standard computer technology to create user-defined instrumentation systems. Since the birth of virtual instrument (VI), it enters rapidly into the industrial production field, and Research and Development (RD) field. It can improve production quality, shorten development time, and increase production efficiency. So it is wildly used in companies. In order to improve the ability of students’ using new technology and equipment, and save daily funds, we try to use virtual instrument instead of traditional instruments for analysis and design circuits. The paper adopts the software-LabVIEW and many hardware modules of NI (National Instrument) to study of virtual instrument applied in electronic education of vocational college. The research result of this work can provide a theoretical and practical foundation for vocational education of virtual instrument in the future. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v11i9.3306
