Abstract

In this paper, a new underwater acoustic navigation method is proposed, which is named from Doppler Acoustic Omnirange Beacon (DAOB). It is borrowed from the idea of Doppler VHF Omnirange (DVOR) and based on the Doppler principle. The cause of Doppler effect in the received signal is the motion or position change of one or two sources. The effect of multipath is analyzed, and an improved signal form is presented to solve the rigorous multipath environment underwater. Some simulation is presented to verify the performance.  DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3968

Abstract

In order to stabilize planar inverted pendulum, after analyzing the physical characteristics of the planar inverted pendulum system, a pendulum nine-point controller and a car nine-point controller for X-axis and Y-axis were designed respectively. Then a fuzzy coordinator was designed using the fuzzy control theory based on the priority of those two controllers, and the priority level of the pendulum is higher than the car. Thus, the control tasks of each controller in each axis were harmonized successfully. The designed control strategy did not depend on mathematical model of the system, it depended on the control experience of people or the control experts. The compared experiments showed that the control strategy was easy and effective, what was’s more, it had a very good robust feature. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4146

Abstract

An algorithm of the color image noise removal algorithm is put forward based on the pixel operations. The idea of the algorithm is to read every pixel in a set order and determine whether the pixel level is consistent with the probability density function of impulse noise or not. If it is similar to noise pixel, the number of impulse noise in a certain mask is counted. If the number is less than the given threshold, the pixel is considered as possible noise. The pixel value is not unchanged. Otherwise it is considered as noise, the result mask operation of the pixel is to replace the pixel value. Otherwise it isn’t considered as noise, the pixel value is also unchanged. The experimental results show that the algorithm is applicable to the gray noisy image and the color noisy image. It has the advantages of higher speed and more stable noise removal effects.DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3054

Abstract

With the advent of web 3.0, social network has become an important way to disclosure and spread the public sentiment. Opinion leaders play an important role in leading the direction of the public opinion. In this paper, due to the structure of the community in the network, we extracted the community by replies of each post in BBS, and we came up with an opinion leader community mining method based on level structure. In this way the communities each other have a better overlap result. Thus, communities can have more relations. Then, we analyzed the revolution of the communities after we got the structure of the opinion leader communities and we put forward a time-dividing method, and divided the whole communities into different pieces based on the character of the post and the duration of the time and we came up with the suitable measurement parameter to get the evolution result of the communities. Finally, experiments prove the efficiency of the opinion leader community mining method and we summarize the properties of the opinion leader community in revolution. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3349

Abstract

The narrow working bandwidth of microstrip antennas limits their applications in in radar and communication systems. Staked patch antenna based on aperture coupling and asymmetry feeding technique was proposed in this paper. A cross-shape aperture imbedded in the ground plane with asymmetry feeding structure provided a relative wideband electromagnetic coupling and allowed a high isolation between two orthogonal ports. The asymmetry feeding structure was composed of two microtrip lines locating above and under the ground plane. U-shape microtrip line adjusted microstrip feeding line characteristic impendence with antenna input impendence in a broad band. Experimental results indicated that an impendence bandwidth of 35.3%, better than 4.5dBi antenna gain, better than 30dB isolation and good cross-polarization were available. Measured results proved that stacked patches using asymmetry feeding structure through aperture coupling to expand working frequency and realize dual-linear polarization was effective. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3974

Abstract

Emissivity is an accuracy influencing factor during infrared temperature measurement which focusing on regular geometry in laboratory under the condition of single emissivity. But in practical application, the target is often irregular with multi-emissivity,, and if following "idealized" method in laboratory, it will lead to inevitable error. This paper presents a method for a complex target object with the collection of multiple emissivities in infrared image after measurement. Both visible and infrared images were collected in the same field of view at the same time using binocular video to segment target regionally through visible image. The emission rate in corresponding region was set based on regional growing algorithm. Heat conduction equation was used as a reference to smooth the boundary area. After testing image evaluation parameters accordingly, results obtained via this infrared temperature measurement method are closer to the true value and precise compared with conventional ones judged from objective measurements. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3913

Abstract

With the expanding of database of the watch list of anti-money laundering, improving the speed in matching between the watch list and the database of account holders and clients’ transaction is especially important. This paper proposes an improved AC-BM Algorithm, a matching algorithm of subsection, to improve the speed of matching. Experiment results show the time performance of the improved algorithm is better than traditional BM algorithm, AC algorithm and the AC-BM algorithm. It can improve the efficiency of on-line monitoring of anti-money laundering. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4141

Abstract

In order to study the influence of motionparameters of shearer drum on shearer cutting properties,an embedded system for cutting load test that can identify thecutting resistance indirectly were developed and put into test experimentunderground. The analysis results indicated that in the case of pullingspeed being constant, when pulling speed is small, the cuttingresistance nonlinearly declined and cutting specific energy consumption (CSEC)increases nonlinearly with the increase of the drum rotating speed; whenpulling speed is large, cutting resistance approximately linearly decreases andCSEC linearly increases with the increase of the drum rotating speed; in thecase of drum rotating speed being constant, the cutting resistance presentslinearly reducing form with pulling speed increasing its value in the range ofhigher speed and increases nonlinearly with pulling speed increasing its valuein the range of lower speed, and CSEC decreases nonlinearly with the increaseof the pulling speed. The consistency of the theoretical analysis and the testresults confirmed the reliability of the proposed embedded system whichprovides an effective way for the detection and analysis of mine shaft cuttingload and also provides the instruction for shearer speed-changing cutting coal. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3191

Abstract

Wireless multimedia sensor networks will have a variety of applications. Meanwhile, WMSNs produce a large amount of image data. JPEG2000 is the popular image compression standard and have some advantages. However, JPEG2000 is also high complexity and cannot be realized in an individual senor node which is limited in memory capacity, computation power and energy. Distributed image compression and transmission scheme is proposed to overcome the problem of scarce resources of the individual sensor node and uneven energy consumption. Simulation experiments show that DICT can more evenly consume the energy of senor nodes in WMSNs and prolong the network lifetime comparable to centralized image compression and transmission scheme. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3739
