Abstract

Depending on the development of embedded technology and mobile communication network, an intelligent wireless video surveillance solution based on the 3G network and HI3515 is proposed in this paper. The front-end of the surveillance system is composed of Hi3515 and SIM5216E, which integrates intelligent video analysis, intelligent control, and other functions. It has realized only transferring the useful video surveillance information---abnormal event information, setting the special receiver that will receive the surveillance information, and transferring the surveillance information according to user's commands. Surveillance scene information database has been established on the video surveillance center. According to the surveillance video data received from the front-end of the surveillance system, the corresponding electronic map and the surrounding information can be obtained and multi-channel surveillance can be realized as well. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3909

Abstract

In order to avoid damaging the walls and bore a hole through the walls., also to save the cost of rewiring , low voltage power line can be used to implement the smart home .However ,several difficult problem must be solved at the same time , the most important are finding a technology method to suppress the noise interference and resist the weaker signal. The  smart home system is introduced in the paper. During the design of Smart Home System adopting power line signal carrier, a dynamic routine algorithm based on the idea of Genetic Algorithm is proposed to cope with the time-varying and random feature of power line channel. Thus the system can find the transmission path in real time and dispatch the signal carrier to transmit among the nodes. With this algorithm, the communication between a certain group-controller and its terminal nodes or between the main-controller and the group-controllers is realized successfully. In the proposed algorithm all nodes but the controller adopt same driver, therefore the plug and play is realized for all nodes. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4001

Abstract

This paper presents system identification method for small unmanned helicopter based on Takagi Sugeno fuzzy models under hover. Firstly, the nonlinear discrete model of small unmanned helicopter with unknown parametersis determined by Takagi Sugeno system. Secondly, derivative based gradientmethod is used to identify unknown parameters of TS fuzzy model because in gradientadaptation, fuzzy system is not supposed to be linear in the parameters, so allfuzzy sets for input and output could be adjusted. The proposed method showedits effectiveness in terms of data matching obtained by the X-Plane©flight simulator. Obtained simulation results show high accuracy of themodeling method and better justification for real time applicability of theapproach DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3577

Abstract

Gabor system plays an important role in signal processing, image processing and other applications because of their redundancy properties. In this paper, symmetric or antisymmetric Gabor frames in two dimensions about any symmetric points are constructed from Gabor frames given. In special, symmetric or antisymmetric Parseval Gabor frames with better properties are obtained.  DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3370

Abstract

Trust chain is the core technology of trusted computing. A formal model of trust chain based on finite state automata theory is proposed. We use communicating sequential processes to describe the system state transition in trust chain and by combining with multi-level security strategy give the definition of trust system and trust decision theorem of trust chain transfer which is proved meantime. Finally, a prototype system is given to show the efficiency of the model. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3192

Abstract

Internet of Things is the extension and expansion of Internet from the virtual world to the real world, in which a large number of resource-constrained devices are used to collaborative perception, and it identifies objects and gathers information in the case of no centralized control, no global model. However, the swarm intelligence can take advantage of many simple autonomous individuals to exhibit complex emergent behaviors. In this paper, the characteristics and commonality of perception layer and swarm intelligence were analyzed firstly, and then the architecture of smart individual, self-organization modeling, swarm behavior emergence pattern were analyzed and designed. Finally, intelligentization for perception layer was achieved on the support of middleware. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.4149

Abstract

With an ever-increasing pentration of wind power into power system, the influence to overall system behavior and stability becomes obviously. Therefore, it is so necessary to require wind turbines have good grid adaptability. This paper investigates the effect ofdirectly grid-connectedfront-end speed controlled wind turbines (FSCWT) on transient stability of power system. For this purpose, a voltage based synchronous generator model is used and the drive train model with WinDriver is built. By using a fast excitation control of FSCWT exciter, the FSCWT wind turbines can successfully ride through grid fault and have no problem of angular stability when connected to grid. Simulation studies are carried out to demonstrate and compare the transient performance of the IEEE 5-machine 14-bus system with FSCWT replace by double fed induction generators (DFIG) during a three phase fault. Results show that a better transient stability performance is achieved with an intergration of FSCWT in comparsion with DFIG, which can even bring some benefits on power system transient performance and stability.DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3331

Abstract

Some features of prevailed workflow like Petri net and Grid workflow make them cannot adapt to the dynamic operation. So, we proposed a modified N-tree model to control a workflow. Modified N-tree model can remedy some problems exist in these prevailed workflow models. Firstly, we approve the proposed modified N-tree model is self-closed. This feature makes sure that this workflow can accomplish its tasks, when we change nodes of a well-running modified N-tree workflow before or while its execution. It is the prerequisite of dynamic characteristics of modified N-tree model. And, then we give a method to change this tree dynamically based on the self-closed merit. Finally, based on the dynamic characteristics of this model, we give a method to build on this N-tree workflow model automatically by using left root (LR) analysis method proposed by Mr. D.Knuth. This is the most important performance of this model. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3901

Abstract

Aimed at low power problem in body area network, an ECG compressed sensing method of low power body area network based on the compressed sensing theory was proposed. Random binary matrices were used as the sensing matrix to measure ECG signals on the sensor nodes. After measured value is transmitted to remote monitoring center, ECG signal sparse representation under the discrete cosine transform and block sparse Bayesian learning reconstruction algorithm is used to reconstruct the ECG signals. The simulation results show that the 30% of overall signal can get reconstruction signal which’s SNR is more than 60dB, each numbers in each rank of sensing matrix can be controlled below 5, which reduces the power of sensor node sampling, calculation and transmission. The method has the advantages of low power, high accuracy of signal reconstruction and easy to hardware implementation. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i1.3995

Abstract

This paper proposes an adaptation mechanism based on adaptation planning graph for service-based business processes. First, a three-layer representation model of service-based business process is introduced. Second, control-flow patterns of tasks, goal, logic model of service-based business process and adaptation planning graph are introduced to enforce reliability of composite web services at run-time.
