Abstract

Power system deregulation and the shortage of energy sources have led to increased interests in distributed generators (DGs). The access of DGs to the distribution networks brings advantages as well as creates adverse influences, which is related to the type, location and size of DGs.  In order to fully apply the positive and restrain the negative, proper DGs planning is very important and indispensable. Based on the analysis of the uncertain factors, this paper presents the distribution features of load, WTG and PV. And According to these distribution features, the relatively accurate sampling data are obtained by different discretization methods. Furthermore, this paper also presents an uncertain planning model of DGs owned by the distribution company, which involve power loss improvement, the system voltage quality variation, environment change, etc. The optimization algorithm is based on the fusion methodology with the Monte Carlo simulation, the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and genetic algorithm (GA). The simulation is carried out on IEEE 37-bus distribution systems and the results is presented and discussed. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4824

Abstract

In order to increase the accurate rates of the iris recognition, this paper proposes iris recognition method based on the combination of second generation curvelet transform and the Support Vector Machine Category correction. The images collected from iris image acquisition system are identified. First, rotation correction of iris and spot removal are carried out for collecting iris images. Then, iris images are through rectangular conversion, filter to extract edge point element from which judge the iris image quality. Furthermore, LoG operator is adopted to extract high-frequency energy on both sides of the iris pupil local area, and special judgment is taken out for pupil blocking by eyelids, eyelashes on basis of the energy spectrum. Finally, the cuckoo search algorithm is designed to optimize iris classifier of SVM parameters, and with the second generation curvelet transform algorithm, to complete iris recognition Results show that iris recognition with the CASIA 1.0 database, which contains 756 images of 108 eyes, is an efficient method for iris recognition with high recognition accuracy of iris image. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4289

Abstract

This paper investigated the incomplete information system in which situation of the more missing or absent unknown values. Based on the original characteristic relation, we proposed a new reflective relation which was controlled by the parameter alpha, beta. By analyzing illustrative examples and comparing to the original characteristic relation, this paper indicated the validity and practicability of the new-defined binary relation. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4732

Abstract

In order to better research the role helicopter played in the earthquake rescue, a helicopter earthquake rescue mission modeling method based on multi-agent was proposed. The elements of the earthquake environment modeling were described. Typical helicopter rescue missions in earthquake relief were divided into three basic types, and the mission flow was carded. The division and function of agents in the helicopter earthquake rescue mission model was introduced, and the agent information layers structure was established. An approach of helicopter earthquake rescue mission effectiveness evaluation, including three types of assessment indicators, was proposed also. Finally, the architecture of a simulation system based on this modeling method was built. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4999

Abstract

As the interconnection of distributed generation (DG) and energy storage system (ESS), the operation of DG/ESS should be optimized and coordinated. The intermittence of renewable energy and the error of the load forecasting, which is usually taken as the raw data of the global optimization algorithm, cause difference between the actual and the optimal operating status of the network. Feeder Control Error (FCE) is proposed based on the difference between the actual and the optimal net load of the network, and quantifies the operating error of the network. A coordinating control system of all the DG/ESS is proposed based on FCE, and 3 different control modes are put forwards. With the coordination system, the difference between the actual and the optimal net load are balanced by all the DG/ESS proportionally, and this reduces the operating error relative to the optimal operation status. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4941

Abstract

There exist nonlinear and high redundancy between the power load factors, and the traditional methods in neural network can not eliminate the redundancy in the prediction data and capture the nonlinear characteristics, resulting in lower prediction precision of the power load. In order to improve the prediction precision of the power load, a power load prediction method based on improved genetic algorithm optimization neural network (IGA-BP) is put forward. First, the power load is reconstructed using the correlation function, and then performed the normalization processing. Secondly, the power load training sample is input into the BP neural network for learning, and then the initial connection weights and thresholds of the BP neural network are selected using the improved genetic algorithm. Finally, the power load prediction model is established. Simulation results show that the improved neural network can reflect the trend of complex non-linear power load, achieve higher power load fitting and prediction precision, and is an effective load prediction method for power system. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4302

Abstract

A new algorithm is presented to compute both one dimensional stable and unstable manifolds of planar maps. It is proved that the gradient of the global manifold can be predicted by the known points on the manifold with a gradient prediction scheme and it can be used to locate the image or preimage of the new point quickly. The performance of the algorithm is demonstrated with hyper chaotic Lorenz system. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4740

Abstract

Unipolar single-phase active power filter control strategies need to the transformers and adders. Moreover, the circuits to fulfill the control strategy are more complicated. In order to solve above problems, an improved unipolar modulation control strategy has been performed in this paper. The principle of control strategy was analyzed in detail in this paper and related simulation has been finished. The results of simulation show that this improved control strategy can simplify the structure of circuit without affecting the system performance index. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4817

Abstract

In the traditional QoS multicast network routing algorithm, when the node encounters abnormal traffic network data, the node data overflows. The current protocol is lack of directional guidance for overflow, which causes abnormal data jitter and disorder, the data path planning of traditional Qos protocol blocked and network delay. In order to solve this problem, this paper presents an enhanced safety algorithm for QoS multicast network routing optimization. The constraint relationship between security level of input parameters of network service request and trust level of network service is set, in order to judge and screen the traffic overflow nodes generated by abnormal operation. Then filtered set of network services is used to construct a multi-path network services digraph and converts it into web services selection tree in use of pointing relationship between sub-services. Finally, it sorts the paths and according to the size of Qos path selects the optimal one to carry out through tracing method. Simulation results show the new algorithm has optimum network quality of service and lower complexity. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4245
