Abstract

An iterative integral equation method (IEM) is proposed for calculation of the electromagnetic (EM) scattering field from geometries with multiple reflections, such as rough surface, dihedral and trihedral. The first reflection is computed by physical optics and the coupling effects are computed by integral equations. The average size of the triangular meshes used in the proposed method is a constant value while that in method of moment is a linear function of wavelength. As a result, compared with method of moment, the proposed method will lead to less number of unknowns for electrically large geomety. Accordingly, this method is more efficient and suitable for fast computation of scattering from electrically large geometry. Further more, when compared with high frequency asymptotic method, the proposed method is more accurate. The numerical results demonstrate that this method is accurate for computation scattering with multiple reflections and efficient for electrically large object. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4932

Abstract

Inter-harmonics and non-periodic disturbance generated by aging SAPF or other reasons would impact SAPF performance. In this paper, three-level SAPF was used as example: the mathematical model of three-level SAPF under the definition of virtual flux was built. The power theory under the definition of CPT was discussed. Based on the definition of CPT, the method for SAPF detection system with CPT was studied and the performance was verified by comparing results with the PQ theory. Repetitive control and PI control were used as a combination system for grid inter-harmonics compensation. EID controller was used to improve the performance of repetitive controller for inter-harmonics and non-periodic disturbance rejection. Finally, system reliability was verified by MATLAB simulation and three-level experiment platform. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4443

Abstract

In order to make the network model was more fitting the actual condition of city traffic, this paper presents a dynamic transportation network model based on the traffic time division, and designs improved Dijkstra algorithm to solve the city traffic paths planning problem. Dijkstra algorithm is a typical single-source shortest path algorithm is used to calculate a node to all other nodes in the shortest path. The main characteristic is the starting point as the center outward expansion layers until the extension to the end. The Dijkstra algorithm is a very representative shortest path algorithm. This paper introduces new patterns to effectively combine the model and algorithm. The simulation experiments point to ten time intervals which illustrate the improved Dijkstra algorithm can avoid driving to the blocked roads in different time intervals. The algorithm has some feasibility in path planning and computation efficiency. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4306

Abstract

This article describes a rapid detection method of the airport runway for remote sensing images. The specific algorithm implementation steps are: Firstly, we use the Otsu's method to separate the runway from the images. Then we use the fractional differential gradient operator, which has good anti-noise performance and effective edge extraction ability, to extract the edge information of image, and use automatic threshold to distinguish the edge of runway and other objects. Finally, we use the Hough algorithm to calculate the runway. This detection method of the airport runway, which greatly reduce the data operation and greatly enhance the computing speed, has advantage of good test results and fast speed. This paper shows that, as the study of fractional differential, the application of fractional calculus in a wider area will be successful. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.5000

Abstract

As service providers publish their web services in clouds environment, selecting the most appropriate service among these clouds becomes a very difficult challenge. This paper proposes an efficient approach based on hierarchal ontology to facilitate service discovery in cloud computing. Concepts of services and their relations, which describe services semantically, are distributed in a hierarchal ontology. In addition a matching mechanism for matching these concepts in order to match services in clouds is proposed. The matching results will be evaluated by the QoS of services to select the appropriate service among matched services. A case study is presented to prove the efficiency of our approach. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4850

Abstract

As the work of digital campus construction, the function of network become more and more important . The kernel of digital campus is fast speed, function formidable, resource widely. The campus network is a special network ,which face special user community ,it is thought ,technology of active, and it adopt access layer access ,so the network security is lower, Vulnerable to illegal users and virus attacks. This text use RADIUS and AAA authentication technology in the campus, through user authentication, strengthen the network access restrictions, the log service, campus network management more systematic and safe. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4776

Abstract

Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band is increasingly widely used in military maritime satellite communications due to its good communication performance. Electromagnetic wave emitted by satellite is reflected when reaching the sea surface, and multipath fading is very serious which causes interference on the received signal, especially when satellite elevation angle is low. In this paper, the UHF band multipath effects of sea surface were studied following the general principles of modeling in multipath effects. The numerical simulation was made based on Rayleigh criterion and the judgment basis was obtained which determines whether the specula reflected component or diffuse reflected component dominates in the reflected wave, and then the reflection coefficient of sea surface in different polarization modes were calculated. Finally, the power attenuation of reflected wave relative to direct wave for different wind speeds were simulated and analyzed. Numerical simulation results show that the greater the wind speed is, the greater the power attenuation of reflected wave will become and the more serious multipath fading will be. In addition, diffuse reflection attenuation is more serious than specular reflection. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4787

Abstract

In order to improve the accuracy of electronic fuel injection (EFI) engine fuel pump pressure, according to the characteristics of pump directly driven by motor, a nonlinear mathematical model is built for the fuel supply system of EFI engine pressure control. And then, the nonlinear-function-optimized flow signal is introduced to adjust the parameters of nonlinear function. With the PI control algorithm, the precise tracking control of injection pressure is achieved. The simulation and experiment results show that, it can indirectly realize from the speed control to pressure control. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4220

Abstract

The traditional DV-Hop sensor location algorithm estimates the distance between unknown nodes and anchor nodes by hop distance instead of straight-line distance. In the actual location condition, unknown nodes and anchor nodes mostly connect to each other through broken line. When the deviation of the estimated value and the actual value of average distance per hop is large, the error of estimated and actual distance between unknown node and the anchor node increases. This paper analyzes the compositions of DV-Hop positioning algorithm and the factors easily causing errors, proposes the DV-Hop positioning algorithm improved by mobile beacon dynamically selection. This algorithm is based on the basic ideology of the DV-Hop positioning algorithm in which a moving virtual node moves along the pre-set route and broadcasts its position information to form multiple virtual beacons. The unknown nodes can compute the average hop distance by weight processing and the distances among each virtual beacon. Finally, the position of the unknown node can be computed and the accurate positioning can be finished. Finally, the simulation experiment testifies the improved DV-Hop positioning algorithm to decrease cost and complexity and increase the positioning accuracy and efficiency. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4304
