Abstract

Large-scale development of electric vehicles (EVs) will have a significant impact on the power grid with their great demand for electric power consumption. It is necessary to design the optimal charging scheme for EVs. In this paper, we propose a centralized and a decentralized scheme of optimal decision-making on charging of EVs based on a dynamic pricing model. The objective of both schemes is to minimize the costs of EVs by establishing EV charging optimal schedules that fills the overnight load valley. The centralized scheme, whose objective is to minimize the total charging costs of all EVs, determines the charging schedules of EVs through solving a global optimization problem by the utility. The decentralized scheme is based on congestion game theory, under which the charging schedules are determined locally and directly by EVs to minimize their own costs. Detailed mathematical models and solution procedures are presented for both the centralized and decentralized schemes. Results show that both schemes have good performance on valley-filling. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4098

Abstract

In this paper, wepropose a novel balanced scorecard design based on fuzzy analytic networkprocess and then conduct performance evaluation through a case study. Afteranalyzing the related works about balanced scorecard design and the algorithmof fuzzy analytic network process, we illustrate the improved balancedscorecard design. Firstly, the basic concepts for the balanced scorecardsare introduced. Secondly, four perspectives of the balanced scorecards design are provided.Thirdly, the method to promote the performance of balanced scorecard designthrough the fuzzy analytic network process is demonstrated. In the proposeddesign, a fuzzy number is represented by the left and right formation of eachdegree of membership in fuzzy analytic network process. Furthermore, the degreepossibility for a convex fuzzy number to be larger than a given convex fuzzynumbers can be represented by an effective scheme. Particularly, the basicstructure in the fuzzy analytic network process model is organized hierarchically, and the local weights of the strategies, balanced scorecard perspectives andperformance indicators can be obtained by matrix computing. Finally, a casestudy of college English classroom teaching quantitative evaluation is given todemonstrate the performance of the proposed balanced scorecard design.Experimental results show that the proposed balanced scorecard design is quiteeffective. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4804

Abstract

With the sustained and rapid growth of domestic fuel consumption, consumers have made more and more high demand on the service of gas station. A stable and efficient refueling system which based on IC card is developed in this paper. The main purpose of this system is to realize the communication of pos terminal and tanker efficiently through protocol conversion, and the required functions of pos terminal and tanker are also achieved. In order to monitor the gas station much more conveniently, we design a real-time monitoring front-end interface which based on Ajax technology, and we can also control the tanker through the front-end interface. A stable refueling system can improve the economic benefit and company's core competitiveness. For it can provide scientific management and effective control of money, staff, oil, oil depot, equipment and so on. So refueling system has realistic necessity and important meaning of improving the working efficiency of the gas station and reducing the operational of the various costs. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4924

Abstract

The approaching scaling of Field Effect Transistors (FETs) in nanometer scale assures the smaller dimension, low-power consumption, low energy delay production, and high density as well as high speed in processor. Trilayer graphene nanoribbon with different stacking arrangements (ABA and ABC) indicates different electrical properties. Based on this theory, ABA-stacked trilayer graphene nanoribbon application as a field effect transistor channel is investigated in this study. The energy band structure of ABA-stacked trilayer graphene nanoribbon in the presence of a perpendicular electric field using a tight-binding model is presented, and the effect of applied voltage on the curvature of the E-K graph is analytically studied. Moreover, an analytical model of carrier statistics for ABA-stacked trilayer graphene nanoribbon in corporation with a numerical solution is presented and current-voltage characteristic of trilayer graphene nanoribbon FET as a one-dimensional device is explored. In fact, the proposed model can be applied as a useful tool to optimize the nanoscale FET based device performance. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4698

AbstractWith relative theory about technology of datamining and recommender model of user’s interest, this paper presents the methodof MWFP-TREE based on the combination between recommender model idea of user’sweight and the minimum weighted FP-TREE method. Compared to traditional method, this method does not only carry out dimension reduction of raw data to improvethe efficiency of a constructing tree but it also performs association rulemining and improves mining effect. This method is applied to mathematics  teaching evaluation in one university and it findsout different evaluations from different students respectively consideringstudents’ information and teachers’ information while it is not similar totraditional thought which is only to perform mining direction based onteachers’ information. Towards mining regulations and results, it providessignificant referential values for objectivity of teaching evaluation andteaching directions. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4809

Abstract

There are numerous instances of flowshop in the production process of process industry. When such characteristics as continuous production resulted from high-temperature environment or deteriorate intermediate products are took into consideration, it should be ensured that the waiting time of any job between two consecutive machines is not greater than a given value, which results in the flowshop scheduling problem with limited waiting time constraints. The problem with two-machine environment to minimize makespan is studied. Based on the discussion of the lower bound of the minimal makespan and some properties of the optimal schedule, a two-stage search algorithm is proposed, in which the initial schedule is generated by a modified LK heuristic in the first stage and the excellent solution can be obtained by constructing inserting neighborhood in the second stage. The numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i4.4783
