Abstract

A test device was developed and a test method was proposed to characterize the dynamic liquid moisture transport properties of textile fabrics, based on the mechanical equipment, microelectronics, sensors and control system. Derived from the test data, five indices were defined to characterize the dynamic liquid moisture transport difference between two surfaces of textile fabrics. The test principle, the structure of the mechanical equipment and the evaluation method for the dynamic moisture transport difference were introduced. Six types of fabrics made from different textile materials were measured. The one-way ANOVA analysis was carried out to identify the significance of the differences of the indices among the test fabrics. The results show that each evaluation index is significantly different (P

Abstract

The motion performs evaluation indexes of numerical control machine tools (NC) are made of multiple elements. In order to evaluate motion performs of numerical control machine tools objectively, we have applied the extenics theory to establish the matter-element model for the motion performs evaluation of the NC. The relational degree was calculated by introducing the relational function in the extension set theory, and the evaluation indexes weight coefficient of NC were defined by using the 1-9 scale law in AHP (the analytic hierarchy process). A numerical control machine tool as a study object, the motion performs was studied by using the extenics theory. The result indicates that the extenics theory is appropriate for the motion performs evaluation .The motion performs of the evaluated NC was good, the evaluation method possesses a certain practicability.

Abstract

A new algorithm for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation is proposed.Using fourth-order cumulants and modified MUSIC (MUliplle SIgnal Classification) algorithm. However, it does not require any eigendecomposition of the cumulant matrix of the received data and source enumeration. It also eliminates the need for knowledge of the spatial characteristics of the noise and interference. This method only uses the conjugate spatial signal of different sensor positions. Computer simulation results are provided to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach and compare them to DCI (Diagonally-loaded Conjugate correlation matrix Inverse power) method. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4679

Abstract

To solve the insufficiency of real time performance in the present real time scheduling algorithm, a new real time task classification scheduling algorithm is proposed. According to the classification of arrival of real time tasks, this algorithm is divided into periodic tasks and non-periodic tasks, and uses different improved real time scheduling algorithm to schedule different type of real time tasks. Comparing with the present other real time scheduling algorithms, experiments show this algorithm has been largely improved for integrated real time performance. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5480

Abstract

With the rapid development and application of RFID system, people would pay more attention to the security of RFID, which is the essential issue and key technology in RFID system. This paper establishes the evaluation index architecture of RFID security, then according to these indexes for the evaluation of the RFID system security which based on fuzzy synthetic evaluation model, this paper proposes a AHP (The Analytic Hierarchy Process) for weighs, and then applies fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for more accurate and effective evaluation results, which is used to evaluate the security of RFID system. Our security evaluation index architecture and evaluation model with RFID system is very practical and effective in the real life. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5401

Abstract

In the paper a template technology has been applied to the complex platform of machine olfaction system. The simulation sensor array template receives field odor data or simulates the data via recorders in database, then transmits to the platform which consists of several distributed monitoring subsystems. Each subsystem matches a set of gas sensors array, and has functions of logging data, communicating and simulating industry application. The data from the subsystem and the preprocessed data are sent to the web server center and stored in the databases. Then sensors perform analysis by several layer algorithms. And the exchanging algorithms convert the field odor data to gas concentrations with ppm values, the expert systems or recognition algorithms analyze the ppm values and show the application results. All data of each layer are stored in server database systems, and each layer algorithms can be updated and saved. Finally, the supporting platform that applied to industrial monitoring systems, was developed with a kind of industrial configuration softwares, web MIS and databases, and was utilized to realize monitor to the environmental systems by the simulation template. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5451

Abstract

This paper proposed a calibration method of sheet-of-light vision measurement sensor based on light plane constraint. Through capturing 12 images of different direction from homemade circular calibration target, the center of the circle and the light stripe is extracted based on Halcon platform of Germany. The experimental results obtained the intrinsic parameters, extrinsic parameters and radial distortion coefficient of the nonlinear model. At the same time the light plane constraint equation is got based on PCA plane fitting method. The results show that the calibration method is simple and reliable, and the method does not need any auxiliary adjustment. The work laid the better foundation for hard disk planeness vision measurement.

Abstract

Feature extraction and accurate classification of electric power equipment, help to improve the automation and intelligent level of power system management. Aiming at the problems that applying Hu invariant moments to extract image feature computes large and applying corner vector to match has too dimensions, this paper presented Harris corner invariant moments algorithm. This algorithm only calculates corner coordinates other than the entire image coordinates, so can change the point feature into feature vectors, and reduce the corner matching dimensions. Combined with the SVM (Support Vector Machine) classification method, we conducted a classification for a large number of electrical equipment images, and the result shows that using Harris corner invariant moments algorithm to extract invariant moments, and classifying by these invariant moments can achieve better classification accuracy. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.1422

Abstract

Prediction of protein subcellular localizations attracted the eyes of many researchers and hence a serial of computational approaches which aimed at designing an effective learning machine to deal with the newly-found protein sequences on the base of the feature vector were developed in the last two decades. The feature extraction algorithm for protein sequences played a vital role actually. The information in the feature vector influenced the performance of the learning algorithm significantly. In order to facilitate users to build predicting system, three feature extraction algorithms about amino acid composition were introduced, improved and implemented in a Java program. By comparing the results with those from some web servers, it was proved that this program ran normally and had good performance both in time costing and user interface. Moreover, the results could be easily saved to the specified file for later use. It was anticipated that this program would give some help to researchers. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4689

Abstract

Islanding detection is an essential function of the grid-connected inverter of distributed power generation system. The deficiency of traditional islanding detection methods should be given due importance, especially the phenomena such as islanding detection failure when the output power of the inverter balances with the load power, and the use of active frequency and phase shifting method affecting the quality of power. In this regard, an improved islanding detection method based on adaptive voltage positive feedback was proposed. A mathematical model was established, and the hardware circuit was tested. The constraint conditions on the success of islanding detection and the pattern of voltage variation at the point of common coupling before and after incorporation to the grid were studied. The simulation result shows that this method has the advantages of high detection speed, small blind area and high reliability. The index requirements specified in IEEE Std.2000-929 are met. The reasonability of the proposed scheme is verified. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5475
